Chapter 84—Hiding
Thud! Thud!
A human-like figure, three ters tall, stood there—its body woven entirely from green vines. Hair made of leaves. A large grey leaf ford his face—two red flowers for eyes, two yellow flowers for a nose, and a small slit of a mouth revealing darkness.
Green vines wove together to form all four limbs—eerily shaped like a human’s: two arms and two legs.
A human face was embedded in his chest. Black eyes narrowed, brows arched, mouth frozen in a scream—yet no sound. The gap between the lips showed pitch‑black darkness within.
’It’s the Dancing Lightning Party captain,’ Sli#47 realized, staring at the face fused into the eldritch’s chest.
"Appraisal!" he used his skill as he yelled, "Run!"
Slis and cattle ran in whatever direction they could.
Thud!
Thud!
The field descended into chaos as slis and cattle fled in every direction.

’Damn it...’ Young Sli clicked his tongue as irritation spiked.
A chill ran down his body. He turned toward the sky and found an energy-swelling black orb in the hands of the purple‑haired lad.
----
A few seconds earlier...
"I don’t care about that corrupted human. I can deal with him later," the purple‑haired lad muttered, pulling the black orb free from his neck chain. "The demonic sli is the real problem."
Clink!
The black orb opened its front layer, revealing a purple eye with a crimson iris.
The orb was wrapped in black energy as he gritted his teeth, sweat pouring down his face. He took deep breaths and said, "Take as much Will as you want. Just kill that sli."
----
"Demonic Surge," Sli#47 activated his skill. Demonic force wrapped around his body, increasing his overall combat power.
ZZZ!
A dark purple light surged from the eye. A purple beam shot forward, aiming at Young Sli.
"Elental Pulse!" Sli#47 cast quickly to counter—because the purple beam had already crossed half the distance between him and the lad in a second.
Boom!
When the purple beam crossed most of the distance, it finally t resistance—colliding with the condensed crimson fire beam.
Boom!
’It’s too strong...’ he mused as he struggled. He poured all his mana into it, but the purple beam slowed for only a few seconds before it broke through and hit him.
Before he was obliterated into dust, he saw the tree eldritch spread its vines across the entire area and devour the slis and cattle.
The cattle collapsed into empty skins, and slis lted into lifeless piles of goo.
’So Mama Sli... Elder Sli... Little Sli...’ He couldn’t find them anywhere as his vision finally darkened.
----
In the nothingness...
"Why?... I an...why?" he questioned loudly, his voice shaking. ’Can’t I find peace?’
He took deep breaths to calm down, but failed.
But—
[ Ding! Casting Holy Light of Purification! ]
The notification popped up in his vision.
He was washed by golden light as all his wrath and other negative emotions cald down.
"I will check other places to hide," he muttered, planning.

’I will hide in a different place this ti,’ he thought, then decided to learn a powerful beam attack.
He felt the need for it from the last loop.
In this loop, he evolved into Lesser Elental Sli and Elental Lord like before, and leveled up to Lv.79.
----
"This is it," he muttered, glancing at the underground hall he made using Earth Mold. It took three days to find a place, and another five days to make this.
Elder Sli made a magic array that would light the area with a few mana crystals.
Young Sli checked the surroundings. ’Almost 1,000 ters deep, and I covered the entrance with land just like before. We’ll hide for a few years,’ he mused, forcing a grin.
He’d made an underground room a few hundred ters wide, and that was large enough to fit them all.
"What about food and water?" Elder Sli inquired, not satisfied with Young Sli’s decision to hide.
"Water is just a few ters away... after all, underground has water flowing," Sli#47 pointed to his right, where he could hear water.
He patted himself, worried about food. ’We slis can devour mud and survive, but...’ He glanced at the cattle, tired, watched over by Bull#1 and Cow#1.
"I’ll send soone up occasionally to gather leaves," Sli#47 said with a sigh. It was the only thing he could think of.
Elder Sli nodded plainly.
Sli#47 then opened his new skill. ’This might co in handy in the future.’
[ —Skills—
—Earth Mold {Rare} Lv.Max—
—Can manipulate the earth’s shape and structure.
—Note: Can only use it in existing earth; cannot create earth elent out of thin air.
—Caution: Drains too much mana. ]
He’d learned it from Elder Sli. It leveled up quickly due to him using mana crystals to recover his used mana reserves while creating an entire underground room 1,000 ters below, which granted him high proficiency.
’Ti to learn a new demonic skill,’ he muttered, excited.
----
A few days later...
Bang! Bang!
A huge purple beam pierced deep into the underground, revealing all of them to sunlight.
"Damn it... How did you find us?" Sli#47 wondered, glancing at the flying purple‑haired lad in the sky.
The opponent shifted the condensed purple beam, changing its direction to strike him.
"Demonic Pulse!" Young Sli used his new skill.
A beam of dark color collided with the purple beam!
Boom!
Both beams collided underground.
Bang!
The pressure of the collision shattered the underground hall. Many rocks fell on the slis and cattle, killing them instantly.
’It’s still too strong!’ Young Sli roared. He poured all his energy reserves into Demonic Pulse.
But it only held the beam for a few seconds—before it was overwheld by the purple beam.
----
’It’s...’ he thought, opening his eyes into the black void.
End of the Chapter.
