Chapter 76—Vs Three Corrupted Humans.
"Roar!" The two monsters roared at Sli#47.
"*(##" The spider abomination’s face split open down the middle, forming a grotesque mouth that revealed writhing darkness as a dark-purple magic rune flashed across it.
And from it, a fog of dark purple flowed out.
’Poisonous breath...’ Young Sli reacted instantly. "Elental Wave."
As he turned into his sli form, a dark green magic rune flashed on his mouth, and he blew out a large stream of wind.
Whoosh! The white gust collided with the poisonous fog and dispersed the poison.
Boom! The fox abomination flashed in and "**#," drove its glowing black fist straight into Young Sli.
"Double Elental Shield." He reacted quickly as two blue‑colored barriers ford in front of him in rectangles. The barriers were made of water, and liquid could be seen flowing inside them.
GZZZ!
The water reduced the impact of the punch, but it couldn’t stop it. The barriers cracked into pieces.
The punch landed cleanly—Boom!—and Sli#47 was sent flying. However, he reacted quickly, changing into a lightning sparrow mid‑flight. After flying a few ters, Thud! he landed on the ground.
He spat out blood. "Ouch..." He rubbed the area where he was punched, which was bleeding lightning sparks due to his elental form.
"Aura Recovery." He dumped a massive surge of aura into his body, forcing rapid regeneration as crimson light flared around him.
Boom!
Octopus guy flashed near him, his body wrapped in black energy.
"This cold chill... he is powering up," Young Sli noticed the eldritch going all out with boost skills.
Whoosh! Multiple tentacles whipped at Sli, wanting to smash him into pieces.
Boom!
He dodged by flashing left and right, making the tentacles miss the target.
Crack!
The floor cracked open from the tentacles.
’It got stronger...’ he mused, as the blue marble road held it before.
’1 second passed by...’ he counted. They were moving at insane speeds. He could exchange thousands of moves in the flash of a second.
’Those superhumans from novels and manga... they’re real now, and I’m one of them,’ he mused, a faint grin forming.
His will let him have thousands of thoughts in a fraction of a second.
"Elental Wave." He blew out a stream of blue lightning from his mouth, turning into his sli form as a light purple magic rune flashed.
ZZZ!
Octopus, fully focused on tearing him into pieces, didn’t expect him to strike back all of a sudden.
But it reacted quickly and covered itself by pulling its tentacles back. The black energy around it grew larger, forming a shield.
Boom!
The shield cracked due to lightning, but it held.
But it was enough.
Young Sli cast, "Elental Pulse—Blue Elental Variation."
A crimson rune flared on his palm as a condensed beam of blue fire erupted and tore toward the tentacled creature.
It poured more of its energy as the black shield started to regenerate, but Gzz!the fire beam hit it through the cracks as the shield couldn’t recover fast enough.
"Roar!" The other two monsters flashed near Sli.
"Roar!" The octopus monster roared in pain as its black energy rose up into the sky.
"Crap..." Sli backed away as his fire beam got wiped out. The entire area’s temperature dropped.
"Sealed artifact..." he muttered as three pitch-black tentacles manifested from the octopus’s body.
Those tentacles didn’t have small black eyes like the others.
Whoosh!
All three lit up with black, chilling flas.
’Are.... those really flas?’ Sli#47 wondered as the black fire froze the ground beneath them. White ice expanded from them for a few ters as he leaped up to dodge the freeze.
Unlike regular warmth—where flas provide heat—these were cold and freezing.
Clink!
Clink!
Two tal clashing sounds grabbed his attention as he turned to the spider abomination. Its body turned into black tal, shining as it reflected sunlight.
Black energy rose from it, making the surroundings even more chilly.
The last monster also powered up, not backing down, as the ice on the ground expanded to a few hundred ters. It gained two more heads and two extra sets of arms.
"They’re... different," Sli#47 realized as he spotted the fox monster’s extra limbs and twin faces armored in yellow tal. It looked comical, but it was no less nacing.

In the city entrance from the fortress...
The gang entered the city and peeked at the fight from far away.
"This is... no doubt a Grade 1 sealed artifact," Elder Sli solemnly identified. He was a little tense for Young Sli.
"Is this dangerous?" Mama Sli asked worriedly. She wanted to help, but she knew she would only co in the way if she tried.
Cow#1 backed away slowly to the fortress, trying to run.
"Boss, you can do it!" Little Sli cheered, but he shivered, staring at the spreading black energy in the sky.
"I can’t wait to fight monsters like that," Bull#1 said, battle intent blazing. He wanted to get stronger and fight tough opponents. The black energy in front only strengthened his will to fight.

"Hahaha, so it’s you—a sli—which woke us?" An alien male voice said, as a mouth cracked open on one of the pitch‑black tentacles.
’They are speaking in demon tongue,’ Young Sli understood, removing his Demonic Surge as they were discussing. He couldn’t waste his demonic force.
"You seem delicious," a cold alien female voice echoed from one of the fox heads.
"Yup, we will share the food." The spider creature’s stomach opened a crack, forming a mouth from which a cold alien male voice echoed.
The three of them surrounded Sli#47.
"Appraisal." He activated his skill to check.

The spider lunged and slashed from behind with its front legs. Fox monster leaped at him and punched from the right side. Octopus whipped its pitch‑black tentacles at him.
"Demonic Surge." He reactivated his powerful skill.
