Chapter 52—Dancing lightning party!

"Yes. They are rare, but they do exist," Elder Sli said plainly.

Sli#47 wobbled his body, feeling impressed by their talent. He then asked, "So are the conditions the sa for getting mana mastery? Does mana ditation exist?"

"Yes. It’s the sa conditions. Based on talent, one would gain mana mastery with mana ditation and five mana skills," Old Sli answered, and after a pause, he continued, "Hmm...Class skills and racial skills are not counted in this."

Young Sli’s eyes twitched as he mused, ’Hope my talent’s good. I already have a few mana skills....Just need to get Mana ditation for Mana Mastery.’

Then he proceeded to absorb aura from a stripless aura crystal with Aura ditation to increase his aura reserves.

A while later, the sky lit up under the ten blood-red moons.

He opened his eyes to the shimring panel in his vision.

Grr!—His stomach growled—or rather, hungry noises—echoed from his body.

’Do I even have a stomach?’ he wondered. His own biology still confused him.

No nose, yet he could sll. No stomach, yet hunger still kicked in and made noises. Sli biology made no sense.

As he was about to order them to stop for eating, he noticed smoke far in the distance.

"There... soone’s fighting out there." His body tensed before he even realized it.

"Elder, I’ll check it out," he said, pointing toward the rising smoke.

"Be careful," Mama Sli added as everyone glanced at Young Sli.

Elder Sli nodded at him. Little Sli—Wob!—bounced toward him. "I also want to co."

Thud!—He was smacked by Elder Sli, who said sternly, "No... You are not going anywhere."

Sli#47, with a small smile at his actions—Wob!—bounced toward the smoke.

Whoosh!

Within a second, he reached the area.

"Double Presence Hide," he muttered, activating his skill and wiping out his presence.

Wob!—He hid behind a large tree and covered himself with leaves before taking a glance.

’White Wolf Gang territory... just great,’ he thought grimly, rembering Elder Sli’s warning.

Old Sli had inford them that they should avoid this place at any cost. Individually, any wolf from this gang wasn’t powerful, but there were almost twenty‑five of them, as per the map. If they ganged up, even Sli#47 would fall in battle.

This area was almost two hundred ters away from the official concrete road, different from the route planned by Elder Sli.

In the open field, under the crimson moonlight with large trees scattered around, a team of five humans was dueling the white wolves.

’Yup...wolf’s fur is white,’ Young sli mused, glancing at the wolves.

The leading human was heavily armored, leaving no spot exposed; even his head was covered by a helt. He held a staff in his hands as he—Bam!—smashed a wolf’s head.

"Hooo..." The wolf winced in pain, took a few steps back, and fainted on the spot.

Whoosh! An arrow arrived at high speed, pierced another wolf’s eye, went deep inside, and killed it instantly.

Sli#47 spotted that the arrow was released by a middle‑aged, black‑haired, thin man who had a quiver full of arrows on his back and held a heavy bow in his left hand.

Unlike the armored human, he wore simple light armor, which made his movents faster, and his head wasn’t covered.

Gzz! A ball of lightning suddenly manifested and hit another wolf, zapping it to death—Zzz!

"So it’s Lightning Ball," Sli#47 muttered, glancing at a red‑haired, young, fat woman in the back who wore mage‑style robes and held a staff. She was protected by everyone.

He noticed another young, skinny woman in light armor with daggers, holding her own against a wolf. Thud!—Bam! Her daggers collided against the wolf’s glowing purple claws at high speed.

The last one attracted the red sli’s attention.

He was a heavily armored, bulky man standing seven feet tall with a heavy shield.

He alone attracted the attention of twenty wolves.

Thud!—Bang!

All the wolves attacked him with glowing purple claws from all directions, but failed to leave even a crack on the transparent yellow shield surrounding the bulky man.

’Damn, if he were to co to Earth, his body would put almost all bodybuilders to sha,’ Sli mused, impressed by his muscular form.

He then used his skill, "Appraisal."

’Damn.....what a powerful party,’ he thought. He could never enter their vision. If spotted, he was done. That’s what the status told him.

The mage woman cast Lightning Ball again as five basketball‑sized lightning balls attacked the wolves, who were trying to break the bulky man’s shield.

Zzz!—They were zapped to death on the spot.

Seeing their fellow mbers’ deaths, the wolves howled in fury, "Roooaaar!"

"I will not leave you, damn humans!" they roared and rushed toward the woman.

"What a feeling," Young Sli muttered with a nostalgic smile.

He’d witnessed this kind of scene in many novels, manga, and ani, where he would understand the humans as another human.

But this ti, he could understand the wolves as a fellow demon.

The wolves rushed toward the magic caster. But "$*#*!" The bulky man emitted a unique sound from his mouth, and it spread all around.

"Damn... what an irritating sound. I want to punch his face," Sli#47 muttered, utterly annoyed, "It’s a... taunt skill, huh? It even affected ."

The wolves stopped and went back to attacking the bulky man.

"So that’s the plan, huh?" Sli understood the team’s strategy.

The bulky man held the majority of the white wolves back, while the others took them down one by one. If wolves targeted other mbers, he would use taunt to draw their aggression back, making the battle smoother.

Boom!—Thud!

"I should leave..." Sli muttered as three-fourths of the wolves fell. Staying any longer was suicide.

He didn’t want to stay any longer. He had to leave with his gang, or the humans might co after him.

Many ani protagonists would try to communicate with them since they were once humans, but reality hit Sli#47 differently.

First, he didn’t know their language. Second, he still rembered the plain glance of the sli farm owners, who ruthlessly harvested slis.

’Death of a sli... just ans lost money. That’s all humans care for,’ he mused, rembering how their kid was slapped when he killed Mama Sli and others in different loops, and the sli farm won didn’t even care to glance at the dead slis.

But just as he turned to leave, he felt a chill!

A deep howl—"Gowwwllll!"—ripped through the air.
