Chapter 5—First Death

’Oh my! I sure can understand their happiness despite not knowing their language,’ Ganesh looked on as they chatted while grinning with joy.

The woman spoke a few words with the man and walked away.

The rough man ca near him, which made him panic, ’Don’t kill ! I am less than one hour old.’

He bounced with all his might, but the man swiftly caught him and picked him up.

’Next loop, I am coming,’ Ganesh closed his eyes in panic.

The man said thoughtfully, "Xhbhujhh% Sli#47."

Ganesh felt a warm rush of energy within him as—Ding!—a blue panel popped up in front of his vision.

[ Ding!

You have been nad Sli#47! ]

’So, it’s just naming, but what the heck is this na? I seem to be a labrat! As far as I know, only specins will be nad with numbers like unknown creature #1.’ He brooded in annoyance and anger. He really didn’t like the na.

But his wrath didn’t last long as—Ding!—another panel shimred, appearing in his eyes.

[ Ding! Mana wasn’t fully provided to embed the na!

The na Sli #47 will be only temporary! ]

’Puff, glad! I won’t share the code na with a certain agent for long,’ He was relieved with a grin.

After giving him a head pat—Thup!—which shook Sli#47’s body, the rough man went on to other slis.

"&*gdb,"

"DJgy*^&,"

He said in incomprehensible language, while pointing his hand at the slis, as white light emitted from his hand and disappeared into the slis.

’So, he’s naming the newborn slis like , the ones that won’t get one should be old ones,’ he understood.

He glanced around in relief; he almost felt his core would shatter before—in fear.

’Where did the woman go by the way?’ He mused, lying on the ground. He wanted them to go away so that he could train.

------

After the man nad all the newborn slis, he left the field as the woman returned with a sack and a dagger.

Glancing at the sharp-looking edge of the blade, Sli#47 wondered what they were going to do next, as he felt they wouldn’t kill him—no one gave a moniker to just murder them right away.

She walked toward the slis bouncing in front of her and caught one.

The sli didn’t move away, resting in her arms affectionately.

’It seems an old sli,’ He rembered that the man didn’t na it.

Whoosh!—Whoosh! The dagger flashed as she sliced the sli’s body.

A jelly-like substance fell on the ground, as the sli in her hands went from 30 cm to 10 cm.

’Damn! That sli looks like it went to the gym while dieting,’ Sli#47 mused, feeling that thing turned even cuter due to being toned down in size.

The woman picked jelly parts from the ground and placed them in her sack after placing the little cutie on the ground.

She then picked up a little bit of jelly and threw it into her mouth.

"A(&&###," She said with a grin.

’Is it that delicious?’ Sli#47 felt his decision to be born as sli would be very devastating if his race were to be so tasty.

She then went from one sli to another as her dagger flashed—Whoosh!—Whoosh!

’It doesn’t seem painful,’ He noticed that no sli was screaming in pain. He understood that it might be like shearing sheep.

As he looked at harvesting of sli’s jelly—all of a sudden—he was picked up by a kid.

’When did he pop up? Unhand , brat,’ Sli#47 felt a strong grip on his viscous body.

He couldn’t move, much less escape!

He tried to look behind him, his eyes moved from his upper corner section of body to the top, letting him see from the gaps of the kid’s fingers.

’I didn’t know that I could move my eyes.’ He didn’t find it surprising, as he was in even more danger.

A blond-haired kid of twelve years old or thirteen years in a neat woollen tunic appeared in his vision.

Sli#47 had been focused on the woman that he didn’t even notice a kid leaping over the fence to the field from the other side.

"Uh#$$," The kid said with a smile, pulling a dagger from his belt with his other hand.

"I#$##," The woman yelled, threw the sli in her hands to the ground, and rushed towards him.

’Quick! old woman, save , I hope you have good legs.’ He’d hoped that she would be a fast sprinter.

"Dyu##$$," The kid smirked, as he—Puk!—stabbed the Sli#47.

"It hurts, it hurts, brat," He scread as he felt his core being cracked. A sharp burning pain spread across his body.

[ Ding! Your core has been destroyed!

You are dead! ]

He turned into a pool of goo as he fell to the ground from the kid’s palm.

"Hq#$$
