Chapter 43—Setting Fire!
"2@#HR!" Guards scread out loud in fear, hiding in any spot they could find. They just hoped they would not be seen by this monster of a sli.
Whoosh! "Acid Fist!" Sli#47 yelled, slamming his glowing grey fist into a nearby guard. Thud!—The guard fell to the ground, dead with a gaping hole in his stomach.
"Acid Fist!" He then punched his fist into the next nearby running guard’s back. Crack!—Thud!—he fell dead with a shattered spine.
"Acid Fist!"—Thud! "Acid Fist!"—Thud!
A few guards had hidden behind the dwellings; so of them forced themselves into random houses. But Young Sli had kept an eye on them. He went to the guards one by one and "Acid Fist"—Dead!
Boom! He then entered the house by smashing through the door and searched the house. "Acid Fist!" He killed the guard with a punch as he found him hiding behind a trembling villager woman.
Sli left under the shocked eyes of won, as she had expected to kill her as well.
------
In a few minutes, he wiped out all the guards, even those who were hiding, while the entire house of the Bailiff caught fire.
A few people stood outside the house, coughing with blisters over them due to the fire.
"Ho... so they finally crawled out," he muttered. The Bailiff’s family ran out due to the flas.
"Acid Fist," he slamd his fist into them one by one, killing them all as they tried to run. But he didn’t show rcy.
’Crap—treasures!’ he cursed internally, rage flaring as he saw the flas swallowing everything.
Boom!—He dashed into the house, breaking the entrance.
"Don’t be burned... don’t be burned..." he muttered, fuming, ’I shouldn’t use Fireball in future within dwellings...’
He then noticed the two crying kids trembling under the maid near the house entrance. A broken wooden pillar had fallen on her back; they had sustained injuries.
’It’s her....the maid?’ He rembered that she was the very maid who slapped herself for rcy.
"***&," the maid pleaded while pointing to the kids.
’What an incredible family... they left their kids to death while a maid, not caring about her life... saved them,’ he mused, impressed by the maid.
He—Wob!—rushed towards them, jumping through the flas burning in front of him.
He picked up the kids and rushed out, placing them on the ground. He went back and Thud!—broke the pillar with a punch, carried her with his tiny palms, and dashed out.
He placed her on the ground near the kids, leaving a relieved breath.
"&^^," she muttered weakly while glancing at him with deep eyes, and finally lost consciousness due to injuries.
’Quick... treasures...’ He roared as he first entered the living room on the first floor.
"Great....nothing," he muttered, glancing at the empty, burning room filled with ash.
He dashed through the flas to the next room. As a fire sli, he had so resistance to fire.
Within a few minutes, he checked the entire first floor but found nothing, then dashed toward the second floor.
The second floor held a kitchen, an entertainnt room with a projector, a dressing room, guest rooms, and a servants’ room, which were almost burned. He swept through all of them, hoping to find sothing, but to his disappointnt, he found nothing.
"I hope there’s sothing on the third floor," he clicked his tongue in annoyance.
Wob!Wob!—He rushed toward the third floor, climbing the stairs in the house.
But he started to feel hot, and burn marks ford on his body as the third floor was completely burnt. There was nothing to find; everything had turned to ash with a broken ceiling and broken wooden pillars.
"Damn... where did they hide the treasure?" he scread in wrath and slamd his fist down. "Acid Fist!" Boom!
The entire house began to shake as cracks spread from his fist. In less than a second, the entire wooden floor collapsed while he jumped out of the house through a nearby window.
The wind started to blow faster, making the flas rise up. "Crap... spreading too fast," he muttered, eyes narrowing. "I cannot let this fla spread." He growled
"Mana Shield!" He cast the spell as a transparent blue magic rune circle flashed on his palm. A transparent barrier ford around the burning house. After a few seconds, the house collapsed—Boom!—but fire continued to rage.
"I’ll co back later," he thought, glancing at so courageous people peeking from their dwellings. Thud!—they shut their windows, terrified when they made contact with his vision.
Wob!—Whoosh! He dashed toward the fields. "Ti to torch the fields," he muttered with a cold grin.
Just as he entered the lower section of the village, guards rushed over—they had noticed the rising smoke.
He mused, ’The smoke gave it away...’ as he noticed the black smoke in the sky; otherwise, they would have fled instead of fighting, as soone would have warned them of his power.
"Acid Fist!"—Thud! He slamd his fist into the first guard’s chest, then left and right—Acid Fist—Thud! Acid Fist—Thud!
In just a few seconds, he killed ten guards.
Click!—Click! Weapons clattered to the ground as remaining guards froze in fear, dropping to their knees.
"#$$$$" they scread, begging for rcy—though Young Sli couldn’t understand their words, their expressions gave it away.
’But if I let them live, they would torture or even kill the villagers,’ he thought, knowing the consequences of sparing the guards.
And they would definitely contact adventurers for revenge. No matter what he did, adventurers would be after him and his fellow slis; it’s just a matter of how long.
The face of a six-year-old eating bugs with tears flashed in his mind, which made the decision for him.
"Tch!.....Guess, I have not truly beco ruthless," he muttered to himself.
Despite wanting to ignore them by only burning crops and cattle, he couldn’t help but interfere; even as a sli, his core carried kindness.
He sighed and chanted, "Fireball! Fireball! Fireball!"—casting the spell in a row aid at the guards.
Glancing at the incoming basketball-sized fire spheres, the guards stood up and ran screaming, but it was no use as the fireballs landed perfectly, burning them to death.
They fell to the ground with smoke rising from their scorched bodies.
anwhile, the farrs smiled while kneeling.
’Happy... to die?’ He mused. They glanced at him with a broad smile, expecting him to end their pathetic lives!
"Death is their hope—what a....good world," he muttered sadly, glancing at the black sun in the sky.
Their joy at the death reminded him that his choice to kill guards was correct.
Wob!—He dashed to the nearby farm and cast "Fireball!" launching the fire sphere into the crops. A few plants first caught fire, and flas spread across, smoke rising with the flas.
He proceeded to launch fireballs into every farm in the village complex, filling the sky with black dust.
In the sli farm complex...
"It’s ti! Everyone, Little Sli, Mama Sli—let’s go!" Elder Sli yelled, bouncing out of the complex. Mama Sli and Little Sli led the slis, with Little Sli in front and Mama Sli in back, ensuring no sli would drift off unknowingly.
End of Chapter.
