Chapter 35—Vs Sli Farm Owner

Thud!—Thud!—The sli farm owner stord in, halting before the shattered fence.

He glared at the young sli with a deep scowl, eyebrows knotted in fury with the strong murderous intent.

He was fully armored head-to-toe, twin swords hanging at his hips. Because of that, he’d taken a little longer to arrive—giving Sli#47 enough ti to finish the others.

’Yeah... his wife must’ve told him the unprotected heads were the target,’ Sli#47 thought.

"&**ggv!" The man bellowed, glancing at the dead corpses, his wrathful voice loud enough to echo across the farm and into the other fields.

"Yeah, yeah, old man... shout louder?" Sli#47 mocked, even though he knew the man didn’t understand sli tongue.

He wiggled his tiny right index finger in a ’co here’ gesture—

"AHHH!" That was enough to snap the already furious owner.

"&&^!" He lunged at Sli#47, body wrapped in crimson aura.

’Aura boost, huh?.... Figures.... Everyone has it...’ Sli thought, pouring aura into his own body as he rushed straight at him.

Boom!

Boom!

Their fists clashed like cannon blasts as Sli#47 shouted, "Acid Fist!" He bounced up—Wob!—and smashed his grey fist into the man’s punch.

Whoosh!

Wind howled, tearing small grass blades free.

Thud!—Thud!

Rocks, grass, even the feeding trough broke and slamd against Mama Sli’s shield

Thanks to Earth Shield, the slis were safe—for without it, even the aftermath of this fight would leave them heavily injured.

"Whoa!...Go, go! Boss sli," Little sli cheered, raising his tiny fists from the barrier.

"Child....be safe..." Mama sli muttered, concerned about young sli.

---------

Boom!

Boom!

Sli#47 and the man turned into afterimages as they traded blows.

Boom!

Boom!

Zzz!

The man and sli broke apart from a clash, landing back on the ground as they glared at each other.

"^*^^&," the man snarled and drew one sword from his hip. The blade glowed with the crimson aura.

"7^^," he slashed at the sli, sending an energy strike—Whoosh!

The young sli responded quickly, "Fire Blade," a fire‑shaped blade manifesting in front of him.

Both energy blades—one of aura, one of mana—rushed forward and—Boom!—collided, canceling each other out as smoke billowed.

Boom!

The smoke didn’t stop them. Both rushed straight at each other again.

"*&*!" The man swung his glowing sword, while Sli#47 punched with "Acid Fist!"—his grey fist eting steel.

Boom!

Boom!

They clashed more than a hundred tis within a few minutes, leaving afterimages of fists and swords across the field. Their collisions had left craters on the ground.

Just as the sli landed on the ground, "&^^78!" the man roared, yanking his second sword free. This one shone with an even brighter red aura as he swung down at Sli#47, who had just landed beneath him. A crimson energy wave rushed straight toward the jelly blob.

The man grinned down at the sli.

’Crap... aura blade,’ Sli#47 tensed and quickly cast, "Mana Shield!"

The energy blade struck sothing invisible midair—Boom!—and failed to reach Sli#47 as a solid transparent barrier wall appeared.

Boom!

Thankfully, the barrier had enough ti to manifest and block the aura blade. The barrier shattered instantly after blocking the slash.

He’d ford a small rectangular barrier in front of the attack, instead of a full barrier all around him like before, as it was a waste of mana; it only needed to defend the incoming attack.

’He found my weakness, and dual swords make it even worse... what an incredible battle IQ,’ Sli#47 thought grimly, then cast, "Fire Vortex!"

Smoke filled the area; just like against the armored woman, he expected the sa trick to work again.

Whoosh!

Gzz!

Flas erupted from beneath the man’s feet.

"**&!" the man shouted in surprise, but his red aura blazed instantly inside the smoke.

’Aura technique for defense... good,... burn a lot of aura, old man,’ Sli#47 thought, needing a turning point.

Because he was short compared to humans, he had to regularly land on the ground, then leap up to counter the swords and repeat. He couldn’t stay in the air long—

It was a weakness in his fighting style—he still hadn’t fixed.

It’s fine against one‑weapon fighters or unard enemies, but dual swords? They could hit him in that opening when he dropped.

’Think... think...damn it,’ he snarled in his mind—

"HaHaHa!" the man laughed, enduring the Fire Vortex unhard for a full twenty seconds.

Seeing that, Sli#47 cut off the spell. He couldn’t waste mana.

’Blue Flas and Firebody only last a few seconds...’ he thought, searching for a weakness in the man’s style.

Boom!

Sword and tiny fist clashed again. And right after that clash—Sli#47 had to land.

The man imdiately swung his second sword. "7&^^!"—Whoosh!

A red energy slash rushed at him.

"Mana Shield!" Sli#47 had no choice but to use the shield again to block the aura blade.

Boom!

Smoke exploded again as the shield shattered under the force. ’Think...’ he yelled at himself.

’Got it...’ he grinned, praying his idea would work.

"Mana Shield..." he cast once more. But this ti, the shield ford in the air instead of around him—as a platform in front of him.

Wob!—Sli#47 bounced up onto the floating shield.

’Yep... those ani and manga aren’t lying,’ he thought, using mana shield as a foothold to stand and jump.

Many protagonists did this in shows—using barriers midair as stepping stones.

Wob!—He bounced again off the shield hovering above the ground. "Acid Fist!" he slamd his glowing grey fist toward the man’s head.

"*&&7!" The man braced, shaking his aura to disperse the remaining smoke, then swung his right‑hand sword at the incoming sli.

Boom!

Wind exploded as fist and sword clashed once more.

"**&!" The man grinned and followed up with his other sword.

’Finally... I hope luck’s on my side,’ Sli#47 thought, praying everything lined up.

Whoosh!

When the second sword ca close, Sli#47 bounced even higher from mid air—"Mana Shield!"—and used the incoming blade itself as a springboard with the aura enhanced tiny plams to jump, launching himself above the man—

"Blue Flas, Firebody!"

He instantly transford into formless blue fire, activating both skills at once.

Gzzz!

Whooo!

"&^^," The man was shocked but reacted quickly, pouring all his aura into defense.

Gzz!

For a split second, his aura, which surrounded his body, had actually stopped the blue fla‑sli. Sparks crackled as the aura struggled to block the flas.

It bought the man just enough ti to drop his sword and swing his right fist at the sli’s formless fire body.

Whoosh!

But it was too late—his aura defence collapsed as the blue flas passed straight through his body and burst out behind him.

Gzz!

A smoking hole tore open in the man’s chest as Sli#47 burst through.

He was pure blue fire—anything he touched burned from the inside out.

The sli farm owner was no different; his heart, lungs, bones—everything inside his chest—were all burned away by the raging azure flas.
