The adventurers exploded.

Retired adventurers picked up their weapons to try their hand at the "easy" SSS mission.

Adventurers flocked to the guild to check out the mission, mostly for details.

But after knowing it was a sli, everyone was interested. It caused a surge of retired adventurers to return.

The title of hero also attracted many adventurers. Anyone who had the hero title would be rembered forever and honoured by people from many races.

SSS rank adventurers and confident adventurers accepted the mission directly—Each had their own agenda—to claim the hero title, to kill the sli, or to taste it.

"I want to check out the taste of a sli that gained the king's mark," a beautiful, middle-aged, blonde woman said, licking her lips as a glint of craziness flashed in her eyes. She was clad in light brown armor.

She handed the slip to the receptionist, "Accepted, Saber King Grace."

The Flaming Peacock team handed their slip as well. The receptionist glanced at their captain worriedly.

The red-haired captain grinned nonchalantly. "I'm just scouting the sli with our team for details. If he's strong, we won't engage in battle."

The receptionist sighed. "Take care."

Powerful adventurers took the mission to kill, and weaker adventurers tead up to scout the sli.

In the Demon King's palace, Elder Sli asked, folding his hands behind his back, "Did you check the mark's power?"

"Yes, it's extraordinary," Averon grinned. He almost broke into loud laughter.

He didn't know the world was already preparing to kill him.

"So what are your plans from now?" Elder Sli asked.

Averon didn't forget his dream to build a safe place.

Clenching his fist, he replied, "I want to build a country. A place where everyone can be safe and live happily."

"Good, good," the old sli nodded.

"Where do you think we should start?" Averon asked.

He glanced around the dusty room. "This Demon King palace and its surroundings are still powerful and great."

Elder Sli sighed and shook his head. "No."

"Why?" Young Sli questioned, blinking his eyes.

Old Sli replied bitterly, "You'll know after exiting the palace."

Averon blinked his eyes.

He still rembered the extraordinary barrier that Remorae city had in the past.

Even the Demon King's palace was still strong despite running out of energy. All he needed was resources. The infrastructure was already built.

'Sothing seems wrong here,' the young sli thought as he walked out.

"Let's go pick up the others before deciding on the palace." He waved his palm.

Wob! Wob! Elder Sli bounced, following Averon from behind.

"Did you know this trial would take to the past, Elder?" he asked, his hands holding on to the handrail.

"Yes," the old sli wobbled. "But I didn't inform you. As for why—"

"I know," Averon nodded, stopping him. "I would have done sothing else if I knew, wouldn't I?"

"Yes," Elder Sli sighed, landing onto the next lower step.

"Did you et Remora?" the old sli asked, a gleam flashing in his eyes.

Averon nodded, taking a deep breath. "Yes, I did et him. He acknowledged ."

He then sighed and continued, "I couldn't even speak one word with him. He disappeared the mont I opened my mouth."

The black sli with stars surrounding him and floating within his body was too extraordinary for him not to rember.

'The mont I laid my eyes on him, I knew it was Remora,' he mused, clicking his tongue.

"His energy was so outstanding," Averon added. "Out of all the Demon Kings, he was vastly more powerful. Even if all the Demon Kings combined, they wouldn't be able to match him."

Old Sli nodded, his eyes a little wet. 'Grandpa….'

In the 149th basent—

"Is everything fine?" Cow#1 stamred.

"You are so afraid," Bull#1 mocked, standing up.

"What if Lord fails the trial?" Cow#1 asked, her voice low.

Bull#1 shook his head. "Let's go check out the Lord's trial then."

Mama Sli, who was watching over the slis, nodded cheerfully. "Yes, let's go."

She was missing the young sli. She didn't know yet how many trials her baby sli had faced.

'Mama wants to cuddle with you, my child,' she thought with a sweet smile.

Wob! "Let's go, I want to boss sli," the little sli riding Wolf#1's back roared.

Wob!

Thud!

Everyone walked out of the basent room and started to climb the stairs.

Just after a few stairs, Mama Sli blinked her eyes, glancing at the corridors.

'I feel like I climbed these stairs before,' she tilted her body.

"You cannot stop us!"

A loud, majestic male voice rang in Mama Sli's mind.

"You all are re puny bones."

A sharp female voice roared in her mind, but it felt like she was the one who said that.

Mama Sli trembled as she looked at her small palms.

A golden heavy staff with a glowing small white-golden orb on top flashed in her palm for a mont—or rather, an image of her holding a staff.

Then in an instant, she found herself standing in front of a skeleton army of more than a million.

A Skeleton King in heavy armor stood in front, as skeleton guards and skeleton knights on skeleton horses surrounded the king for protection.

She felt herself in humanoid form—white-golden jelly shaped into a human kid's height—clad in a white robe, holding the sa powerful, heavy golden staff.

"Even as powerful as you are… You cannot stop us," Skeleton King snarled, as his skeleton army raised their weapons.

'What's going on?' Mama Sli mused nervously. She tried to move, but her humanoid body was out of her control.

The golden jelly humanoid raised her staff and cast, "Saint Golden Sun!"

The words rose from sowhere deeper than mory.

She felt an enormous power within her flaring.

A large golden magic rune flared in the sky. A sun brighter than the real one manifested in the sky.

"No… Saint magic, defend!" Skeleton King trembled.

Huge bright golden light filled the area as the skeleton army disintegrated into dust.

The heat did not burn. It purified.

'So majestic and warm,' Mama Sli thought as golden light fell on her.

"How—" Skeleton King's roar stopped midway as Little Sli patted Mama Sli's body. "What's wrong, Mama Sli?"

"Nothing, nothing," Mama Sli shook her body. 'It's a dream…' She patted herself.

Little Sli felt sothing was strange about Mama Sli.

His eyes widened as Mama Sli's eyes glowed golden as she glanced at him.

"Let's go… I'm missing my child," she muttered, wob! bouncing up.

The mont she stepped onto the basent floor 124, she felt her core tremble.

She felt sothing was calling her.

Wob!

She stopped and wobbled her body.

Her body glowed golden for a mont as she floated in the air.

She blacked out as her body dashed through the air.

"Wait, Mama Sli!" Little Sli cried.

Unconscious, Mama Sli couldn't hear him.

Wob!

Little Sli hopped onto Wolf#1 and patted him. "Go, go, follow her!"

Wolf#1 nodded and took off.

"How is she so fast?" Wolf#1 uttered, his eyes wide.

Mama Sli floated through Basent 112 and entered a middle room in the corridor.

A large, three-ter golden orb sealed in long white chains floated in the room.

"This is…" Mama Sli muttered, rubbing her foggy eyes as she regained consciousness.

The large orb burst out with energy, breaking free from the chains, and rushed toward Mama Sli.

"Wolf#1!" Little Sli cried, who was now next to her.
