Chapter 11—First Skill

Sli#47 spun around and glanced at the cute jelly blob that had small scars on his body.

"You seem to have intellect, my child," the Elder Sli said again in his deep, stern voice.

"Yes, I do. So, who are you?" Sli#47 answered.

Elder Sli sighed with a bitter smile, "Humans nad Sli#1—but you can call Elder Sli."

"Elder Sli, ...." The young sli and old sli discussed a few details, similar to the previous loop.

The young sli was uninterested in the entire conversation as he already knew everything.

So, he asked all of a sudden, "By the way, are you a reincarnator? No three-year-old sli would be this knowledgeable...."

He’d felt doing all the talk again would be a pain, so he skipped straight to the point.

"Wait... how do you know about reincarnators? Are you one too?" His jelly mouth opened wide in shock, "No... no, if you were, you’d already know these things. An otherworlder— you’re one of them."

"I am from another world. I found myself as a sli after I was killed by a truck," the young sli lied with eyes open.

"Ahhaha," Elder Sli laughed hysterically, "A... truck! I’ve heard a lot about otherworlders getting reincarnated due to such deaths, but once I found out what...a truck is, I couldn’t help but laugh...."

"Your details?" Sli#47 questioned with a deep voice, unable to look at the gleefully laughing sli.

"In my previous life, I was Nobara—the second strongest sli to ever exist, the grandchild of Remora, the 17th Demon King." Elder Sli said arrogantly about his previous life, with a smirk.

His entire jelly blob was shaking in excitent.

Sli#47’s eyes twitched. ’Is he speaking the truth or just elevating himself?... Eh... whatever, who cares? I just want to train.’

"Okay, okay, let’s go train," he said plainly, with a blank glance.

It clearly showed he didn’t believe Elder Sli’s words.

"Really, I am the grandchild of—" Elder Sli pressed, patting his body with his tiny hands.

’What incredible confidence! I wish I had the talent to lie like him with open eyes.’ Sli#47 had felt that if the Elder Sli was truly a reincarnator of such a being, he wouldn’t be this weak, much less trapped by humans in a sli farm!

"It’s okay, I believe you." The young sli cut him off from continuing.

Cough!—Cough!— Elder Sli cleared his throat and his voice turned serious, "Let’s start your training then."

Wob!—They quickly went to the ’Language Training Area’—a na Sli#47 had given to the spot where the mud patch was found in the southwest corner of the field, almost near the fence.

"First from Herica...." Elder Sli began the teaching in a stern voice, picking up a thin wooden branch.

’Wait....where the heck did he pick that up from...?’ The young sli was surprised at how fast old sli had found the stick.

He hadn’t even spotted a branch like that when gazing at the ground.

-----

So, language teaching began!

Whip!

"Wrong, again," Elder Sli whipped Sli#47 when he made a mistake.

When the teaching began, Elder Sli was surprised by how fast the young one picked up the seventy-one Alphabets without a mistake!

But he was wrong—starting from the seventy-second, Sli#47 began making mistakes!

Whip!

Elder Sli whipped him again. But all of a sudden—wob!—A cutie sli bounced on the older sli.

"Sli#2, what are you doing?" Elder Sli asked dubiously, as he was pressed down by Mama Sli.

’Mama Sli, thanks for the rescue.’ He praised his mama as she pressed the old sli into the ground.

"No hitting my child." She yelled, as she picked up a branch and—whip!—struck the old one.

’Where—where did she pick that up from?’ Again, the young one failed to see where they were getting branches from!

"Okay... okay, Sli#2, I will not hit him." Elder Sli finally compromised with tears.

-------

Soon, the language class finished as sunset painted the sky with a blackish hue and a hint of crimson.

’Spider Eldritch is the black sun. So... what would be the moon?’ He mused, feeling chilly and eerie in his core.

Wob!—wob!—Elder sli’s bouncing broke young sli’s thoughts.

"Let’s start the combat skill—Acid Fist," Elder Sli said in a low voice under Sli#47’s piercing gaze.

"Isn’t movent skill ti?" the young one asked, glancing deeply.

"Hmm, it’s best if we focus first on combat skill," he said, clearing his voice.

------

In the northeast corner of the field, which the youngling nad ’Combat Training Area.’

The trough was close by, making combat training more efficient.

Sli#47 focused his entire concentration on his jelly fluids and tried to control.

He’d made them shake. Ripples spread across his entire body; they started large and beca smaller, concentrated as they reached his tiny fist.

His fist had sharp ripples, but it didn’t shine like Elder Sli’s fist when he had used Acid Fist.

"Acid Fist," with a loud yell, he focused all his might and slamd the fence—Bam!

Not even a scratch on the wood.

Whip!—Elder Sli whipped him as he said seriously, "What did I say? Where is the power from your core?"

’Ouch! It hurts,’ the young sli rubbed the red spot on his viscous body.

He did use all his strength, but only from his jelly body, not his core.

Elder Sli felt a chill all of a sudden—Wob!—Mama Sli jumped on him.

Smack!—Whip!

’Yes, beat him up,’ Sli#47 cheered as Mama Sli beat the old sli.

-----

After a few monts of inconvenience...

"Aura power and mana power will be unlocked at level 10, but all living beings contain a ray of mana and aura," Elder Sli explained as his fist shone with grey light. "This light is due to aura; if you try, you will find it in your core."

"Okay..." Sli#47 took a deep breath and focused on his core.

He sensed so kind of energy in it—red and blue.

’Red should be... aura, and blue... mana,’ he instantly identified them with knowledge he had from novels and other dia.

He tried to pull the red one to his fist. ’Damn, it feels so heavy,’ he felt like it weighed a mountain when he forced it to move.

-------

After an hour, he succeeded in pulling the Aura to his tiny fist.

’Here we go,’ he glanced at his fist, which was now glowing grey. "Acid Fist," he yelled and slamd his fist into the wood.

Bam!

"What..." He was disappointed; his fist didn’t even leave a mark, much less emit smoke.

"You succeeded, but you failed to carry aura till the last mont; it dissipated on impact, making it lack strength," Elder Sli explained with a smile, relieved that the young one finally got the basics.

As soon as he finished speaking—Ding!—a blue panel appeared in the young jelly’s vision.

[ Ding! You have gained Acid Fist {Common}! ]

[ Ding! You have unlocked the Fist Mastery! ]

’Finally, first skill,’ he grinned with joy. Finally, he had acquired a skill.

------

Night has arrived!

’As expected of the world with eldritch.....,’ Sli#47 glanced at the sky with an eerie feeling as his body wobbled.
