Chapter 107— Remorian Everlast Academy

Thud! Thud!

The Dragonheart twins followed Sli#47 and Seralyth from behind. Both the sli and Seralyth noticed them but didn’t care.

But what Sli#47 didn’t notice was that the spectacles-wearing, intelligent demon in a black-gold uniform was also following them.

"Three months..." Sli#47 muttered bitterly.

Seralyth, who was walking toward the castle entrance—only fifty ters away—paused when she heard him.

"What did you say?" she asked, wanting clarification. She felt she had heard wrong.

"Three months," Young Sli replied again.

Seralyth’s eyes twitched as she glanced at Sli#47.

Feeling the timing couldn’t be worse, he asked, "Is this really the past... or an illusion?"

Hearing his question, she broke out of her stupor and replied with a light grin, "Yes. This is the past. In the Demon King’s Heir Trial, all participants are sent here."

She finally understood just how troubleso Sli#47’s tis were, "This is common knowledge. Looks like no one told you about it."

’Elder Sli didn’t say this to . He only warned about erratic Demon Kings...’ the multicolored sli clicked his tongue.

’A person is usually given at least ten years... Is it combat?’ she mused, doubtful. ’No. Even for combat, a minimum of five years is given.’

She asked, glancing at him, "What trial is it?" At the sa ti, she hoped, ’I hope it’s combat... he has extraordinary potential in it.’

"It’s the Trial of Wisdom," Young Sli replied.

Seralyth’s expression hardened, ’It’s really a tough situation.’

She clicked her tongue. "How many languages are you fluent in?"

"I know all demon languages, because I possess Demon Tongue—max level. And that’s all," he replied.

’Human Tongue isn’t worth ntioning,’ he dismissed. He didn’t ntion the Human Tongue Lv.1 he possessed—he wasn’t fluent in even one human language.

"Good..." She nodded. "That will make things a little easier... but still not enough."

From his gait, speech, status, and power—far too much for Tier 2—she knew his situation was abnormal.

So she was resolved on helping him clear the trial.

He asked, "Does everyone possess the Demon Tongue skill?" He had noticed her face change slightly when he ntioned Demon Tongue.

’Not everyone possesses it, it seems,’ he mused, feeling lucky to have it.

"No," she replied. "Only a few chosen—or unique—individuals ever possess Demon Tongue at max level."

Taking a deep breath, planning a teaching schedule in her mind, she commanded, "We don’t have much ti. Let’s go."

Boom!

In less than a mont, she was in front of the castle entrance, and Sli#47 arrived a mont later.

The castle was majestic. Standing below it, Young Sli couldn’t even spot where it ended above.

"Give a fraction of mana," she requested. "I need to include your mana signature in the mana database, or else you won’t be able to enter even the castle’s outer ring."

’Outer ring...’ The multicolored sli nodded and passed a wisp of mana to her.

She caught it, and boom!—she entered the castle as ripples spread across the entrance area.

’She’s fast,’ Sli#47 blinked, failing to track her movents. The only proof he had was the ripples in the barrier.

He glanced around and noticed the surroundings.

The entrance alone stretched over a kiloter wide. Many streets connected to it, and they were packed with demons.

Thud!

"It’s getting late."

Suddenly, sothing soft collided with Sli#47 and fell to the ground.

"Oops, sorry." A demon kid in a green coat uniform got up and apologized in a childish male voice.

"It’s okay..." Young Sli said, shocked as he looked at him.

The demon kid was about the height of a five-year-old human child, but his visible body—his face, neck, and hands—was yellow jelly.

He had no nose. His mouth looked like a replica of Young Sli’s.

He had no hair—just a bald, soft, curved head.

"Are you a sli?" Young Sli asked instantly.

"Little guy... who are you?" the kid asked doubtfully, rubbing his head where he had been hit. "Why are you in that shape? Didn’t you learn to change your body shape?"

’Change body shape?’ Sli#47 froze for a heartbeat. He had always been troubled by his small fists and lack of legs in fights.

Now he could overco it.

Whoosh!

"Now let’s go," Seralyth said as she flashed in front of Sli#47.

She picked him up and entered the castle.

Boom!

Young Sli was dragged at insane speed. He couldn’t properly view the surroundings.

’I wanted to learn information about that technique...’ he mused bitterly, then clicked his tongue. ’I can ask Elder Sli for it. He didn’t ntion it to ; it ans I lacked mana...’

When Seralyth stopped, Sli#47 found himself in the middle of a huge building’s demonic gate, with statues of two golden-winged demonic tigers on each side.

The building in front of him would make skyscrapers from his past life pale in comparison.

More than five hundred stories high, it towered over him.

’An academy... but it’s lower than the castle,’ he clicked his tongue.

It was an educational institution, with many young demons rushing in and out.

A huge plaque was fixed onto the building:

Remorian Everlast Academy.

Sli#47’s eyes narrowed. ’It carries strong energy... mana is overflowing within it.’ He was impressed.

’It’s Ancient Demonic Tongue,’ he realized instantly, having read the language on the plaque.

The open area around the academy was surrounded by many large trees and tall poles with magic torches that were currently off.

The roads were similar to the streets outside—white marble with magic glyphs between—except these had delicate designs of flowers and majestic animals.

Along the streets connected to the academy, petals drifted down from the branches.

’This would be an interesting view at night.’ He was itching to see the moon.

This academy was far superior to any educational institute he had seen or heard of in his past life.

Before he could process anything—before he could even step through the gate—and see the academy up close—he was already standing in front of a receptionist, inside a room full of ornate furniture and high-class decorations, brought in by Seralyth.

Two old demons sat beside the counter as Seralyth tapped the reception desk.

"I would—"
