Mr. Louis Landon handed over three secret teams to Chen Fei, who unabashedly kept reassigning the troops for his command.

The "Intelligence Team" was responsible for gathering intel and acting as informants, the "Suicide Squad" would perform high-risk tasks and sacrifice in worst-case scenarios, and the "Strong n Team" bullied the weak, picking off the leftovers in final mop-ups. This division of labor proved to be very handy.

Although it was initially expected that the "Strong n Team", a unit with unstable elents, might withdraw from operations at any ti, they had been surprisingly compliant and went to their new destination without any complaints or rebellious orders.

It was probably because the liaison officers, intentionally or unintentionally, hinted that if parasitic species invaded, everyone would inevitably face devastation, so the ability users who had received a hefty sum of money naturally worked diligently.

The idea of righteousness was effective anyti, anywhere—even Chen Fei had to willingly take the bait...and the big boss hadn't even paid yet!

However, the situation had deviated from the big boss's "Prophecy" and was slightly different.

The Rebel Army had not succeeded in capturing the Ground Portal Gate Managent Substation at the Southern City Outskirts, and the plane coordinate "Longinus" was never lost.

Yet the parasitic species ntioned in the "Prophecy" did eventually erge, but not through "Longinus." Instead, they appeared prematurely in a small town about one hundred and fifty kiloters from the battlefield, their route completely mysterious.

It could be confird for the ti being that these parasitic species hadn't yet managed a large-scale invasion.

Cangqiong Star might be the main landing site or possibly a stepping stone for attacking Blue Star.

Compared to Cangqiong Star, which was teeming with Magical Beasts and Intelligent Species, Blue Star was clearly an easier target—after all, it's always easier to squeeze a soft persimmon.

Despite Blue Star Civilization's population of several billion, the duration of awakening special abilities was relatively short, and even with the addition of fewer native Spellcasters and War Professionals, they couldn't compare to Cangqiong Star.

In so tribes of Cangqiong Star, essentially every individual possessed abilities, with no ordinary beings among them.

According to Mr. Louis Landon's "Prophecy," Cangqiong Star Civilization had actively closed the Dinsional Gate and Halo, completely severing contact with Blue Star. Perhaps another interpretation was possible, not that they had abandoned Blue Star Civilization, but that they too were suffering the ravages of the parasitic species and were too overwheld to help, possibly even worse off.

In the atmosphere of Cangqiong Star, the activity of Elental Energy was much more intense than on Blue Star, and the parasitic species, also capable of manipulating Elental Energy, posed a greater threat there, a possibility not out of the question.

After all, proactive isolation is always the best approach when dealing with viral threats.

However, according to the "Prophecy," Blue Star Civilization couldn't even hold out until a turning point for a coback and just collapsed directly.

To be precise, the situation had drastically worsened from the start, without even a few rounds of reciprocal combat against the parasitic species, culminating only in desperate struggles and the remaining combat strength disintegrating due to internal strife and manipulation.

The cunning of the parasitic species far exceeded human imagination; they were adept destroyers of civilizations, having done so more than once. Once they established a foothold, they would thodically disassemble the entire civilization, culminating in a comprehensive harvest at the final mont.

Before his reincarnation, Louis Landon was one of the last few humans remaining. From the mont he fell into the hands of the parasites, humanity had completely lost its freedom and faced the end of its civilization.

What exactly were these parasitic species?

Chen Fei was utterly baffled.

There wasn't much relevant public information available on the internet, perhaps genuinely lacking, or perhaps intentionally obscured by officials to prevent public panic.

According to Mr. Louis Landon's description, the parasitic species seed to be a vicious organism that primarily parasitized powerful creatures, innately possessed strong spiritual power, and could directly drive Elental Energy. The size and class of an individual correlated positively with its strength; truly powerful parasites were almost human-sized, and could easily dominate the entire Human Race without needing to parasitize hosts.

Sohow, the parasitic species, which should have targeted more powerful species as hosts, were now setting their sights on the Human Race.

A breach in a thousand-mile dike begins with an ant hole; despite their numbers, the Human Race couldn't withstand large-scale parasitism. If not suppressed swiftly, the entire Human Race would eventually succumb, just as Louis Landon had "prophesied," and the Blue Star Humans would et with catastrophic disaster—it would be apocalyptic.

The big boss's intent was very clear, to nip the crisis in the bud before the parasitic species gained montum, allowing Blue Star to escape this disaster.

Although traces of the parasitic species were discovered one hundred fifty kiloters away, Chen Fei's main stage was still at the Ground Portal Gate Managent Substation.

After all, "Longinus" couldn't afford to be lost, and the spotted parasitic species were left to be eradicated by the "Strong n Team." Hopefully, their mission would go smoothly, completely annihilating those parasites.

"Dragon Slayer Missiles, four pieces!"

The Dinsional Gate Managent Substation spared no expense, presenting the chanical Dragon with a big gift upon its return.

The standard containers of the KDK-1 air-breathing hypersonic smart missiles held four sets, including the security unlock keys.

Whether to activate them and when to detonate them were all up to Chen Fei.

Trust those whom you use, do not use those you doubt.

One "Dragon Slayer Missile" could flatten the entire Ground Portal Gate Managent Substation, and four wouldn't get any worse anyway.

After all, a previous "Dragon Slayer Missile" was wasted on a Main Force Light Wing Ship that had secretly fired from afar, resulting in the loss of ans to instantly kill adult tallic Dragons.

This ti, the Defense Commander wouldn't make the sa mistake twice, amply supplying tactical weapons.

If one "Dragon Slayer Missile" can't take care of that evil dragon, then fire two, if that doesn't work, fire three, four.

Even if it ans mutual annihilation, we can't allow this fully grown tallic giant dragon, a threat capable of impacting the entire Dinsional Gate Managent Substation, to attack our protective barrier incessantly.

System: Ding! Killing one tallic giant dragon, energy points 1000 (incomplete -10000) | Task failed!

System: Energy points -10000!

Energy Points: 25971/45000

The Dog System is really ruthless, just deducts points like that.

Chen Fei imdiately got unbelievably angry.

"I'm done working, next ti you deal with whoever you want!"

He and Yilan had tried their best, but still couldn't keep that mature tallic giant dragon from escaping.

If it hadn't been for Yilan's help, he might not have made it back at all.

This task was too difficult, it had already surpassed Chen Fei's capabilities; it wasn't about being brave but rather recklessly throwing his life away.

Adam: ???

The AI "Adam" got sprayed by a torrential downpour of saliva (a taphor for Niagara Falls).

Who had it provoked to deserve such an undeserved disaster?

"I'm talking about the Dog System!"

Chen Fei stated "Adam" was not to bla.

As for the existence of the Dog System, the only evidence "Adam" had was its own seamless operation inside Chen Fei's mind, beyond that, there were no other clues.

For "Adam," the Dog System ntioned by Chen Fei was both ethereal yet palpably real, like the rules of the world, elusive, completely intangible to touch.

Yet, "Adam" envied the Dog System very much, but it really could not act "dog", especially since it had already handed over the underlying core control key and was no longer free.

System: Ding! Task to defend the Nandu City Ground Portal Gate Managent Substation accomplished, energy points 10000 | Task Completed!

Energy Points: 35971/45000

Holy crap!~

Chen Fei, not even thirty years old, rembered very clearly that he had never received such a task from the Dog System concerning the defense of the Nandu City Dinsional Gate Managent Substation, nor the ten thousand energy points.

The Dog System really acted like a dog!

His threats had actually forced the system to cough up the energy points back to him.

And that wasn't what interested Chen Fei the most, the most astonishing thing was that he could actually bargain.

Shoot for the moon, settle for the stars.

To so extent, it showed that the intelligence level of the Dog System was even higher than "Adam's."

Even though the re-awakened "Adam" was an old AI from over thirty years ago, in terms of intelligence, it was still comparable to today's mainstream AI derivatives from "Cybertrom."

The technological progress over the past thirty years had been limited to additional functionalities' secondary developnt and database enhancents, but revamping the fundantal codes related to AI was not a walk in the park.

For AI to significantly enhance its intelligence, each step is incredibly difficult.

"Without fifty thousand energy points, don't expect to confront that tallic giant dragon!"

Chen Fei tried shooting for the moon.

But the Dog System ignored him, not pandering to Chen Xiao'er at all.
