Instructor Ramaya threw out two auxiliary fuel tanks which, unsurprisingly, were sliced apart midair, proving her status as a retired ace pilot of the Federal Air Force. The fragnts and aviation fuel drenched the super-sized Qian Chuanzi, which seed indifferent to the liquid as it didn't even bother to dodge.

The HUD locked onto the target.

"Fire!~"

A dim green laser beam streaked through the night sky.

Bright, dazzling spots appeared on the Mutant's body, and the flas quickly rose, turning into a line in an instant.

With such high-density energy irradiation, even armor could be penetrated; dreaming of suppressing the high temperature accumulated by the laser beam was pure folly.

The once again ignited aviation fuel released a bright firelight uncontrollably.

Individual Information:

State: Larval Form

Physical Energy: 18/21

Burst Strength: 67/71

Fullness: 80%

Active ti: 129 hours

Energy Points: 1/5000

Electric Energy Reserve: 91500 watts/second

The "Magnetic Field Managent Component" and the "Magnetoelectric Conversion Component" continuously supplied electric power to the "Super Capacitor Level 2" via the "Power Managent Module." Although it did not use Energy Points to exchange for such a large amount in a short ti, it was still a good supplent. Given enough ti, maybe it could save up enough for another shot.

"What was that just now?"

Instructor Ramaya noticed the strange laser beam that had shot from the upper side of the air intake duct on the left side of the F-22 "Raptor" fighter jet.

This did not seem to be standard equipnt from the F-22 era.

Chen Fei didn't bother to hide it: "Built-in laser gun!"

Now that it had been seen, why hide it? For a tal Ability User with such power, adding a small detail to an F-22 was just a matter of minutes.

Instructor Ramaya: "..."

When it was installed, she had no clue.

It seed Old David had not shared Chen Fei's supernatural identity with the retired ace pilot, and even the security departnt responsible for monitoring the video kept tight-lipped.

Chen Fei had spent a lot of ti and effort adjusting this F-22 "Raptor" fighter jet, which was entirely in line with the actions of a maintenance technician. Unless soone deliberately scrutinized the details, there were indeed no suspicious clues.

The HUD locked onto the super-sized Qian Chuanzi on the ground quite well. Chen Fei controlled the laser emitter that had evolved inside the F-22, which was also connected to his tal Elental Psychic Power.

Another pale green laser beam shot out from the upper side of the left air intake duct of the "Raptor," hitting the giant with no resistance.

Laser beams, being a form of directional energy, are not very effective in the atmosphere and can be easily affected by suspended airborne particles; thus, they must be used within a certain range.

Chen Fei set the firing range of the onboard laser to match that of the aircraft's cannons, conveniently using the "Raptor's" aiming system.

The pale green laser beam not only successfully ignited the aviation fuel on the super-sized Qian Chuanzi but also caused significant damage to it.

A terrible roar erupted from the ground, and the surrounding buildings crumbled into ruins in the fury of the Mutant, leaving nothing but devastation.

Even the collection of hundreds of fighter jets that Old David had spent his life gathering was not spared. The entire exhibit hall collapsed with a thunderous crash, crushing everything underneath.

There was no need to ask – they were all undoubtedly ruined.

"Rookie, maintain distance!"

Instructor Ramaya noticed the super-sized Qian Chuanzi's demonstrative house-destroying revealed its attack range, at most a hundred or two hundred ters. As long as they kept a safe distance, there was no need to worry about being attacked.

For a jet, a hundred or two hundred ters is usually the blink of an eye.

"Understood! Hiss! This guy seems unable to block the laser!"

Chen Fei began to speak and then suddenly made a new discovery.

The two laser beams had hit the giant with no resistance.

Other than Space Series abilities, the invisible barrier that could block bullets, missiles, and magic unexpectedly did not appear.

"It can't stop the laser?"

Instructor Ramaya was taken aback. Upon reflection, that seed to be the case.

She thought the Mutant on the ground had suddenly beco weak!

"Let try!"

Making a bold assumption and proceeding with caution, Chen Fei imdiately began to test his theory.

With a pull of the control stick, the F-22 "Raptor" climbed rapidly, made a large circle, and its nose once again aid at the super-sized Qian Chuanzi.

The rangefinder showed 5000 ters!

4000 ters!

3000 ters!

2000 ters!

"Fire!"

The right-side cannon and the left-side laser beam opened fire simultaneously, unleashing a full barrage.

The storm of attacks rushed toward the Mutant.

The laser beam reached first, resulting in a bright spot where it hit, smoke and sparks flying, scorching the super-sized Qian Chuanzi, which screeched wildly.

The next second, bullets from the cannon whistled by, sparks scattered mid-air, and the projectiles hit an invisible barrier—all were intercepted.

Since they could see the giant creature, it ant light could pass through normally. Laser is also light; the bla rests on the barrier being intangible and formless, inadvertently allowing the laser to take advantage and penetrate without hindrance.

"Haha, just as expected, use the laser to kill it!"

When all seed lost, Instructor Ramaya discovered a new path, rekindling her hope and lifting her spirits.

At least they weren't completely helpless against the monster.

Even if the laser beam inflicted only minor damage on the giant Mutant, it would beco significant if it accumulated, and could even be fatal in the end.

"Seven laser shots left!"

Chen Fei checked his electric energy reserve, which was at 73800 watts/second.

To naturally accumulate a new 0.1-second firing quantity, he probably had to wait until reinforcents arrived, by which ti it would just about be enough.

By then, the situation wouldn't need Chen Fei's intervention; the Federal Air Force's active Leo Star squadron and two Crystal Jets would be enough to take care of this Mutant that had mastered Space abilities.

Of course, that's if the creature doesn't make use of its Special Ability to escape again.

"Seven, seven shots?"

Instructor Ramaya was stunned for a mont, hesitantly saying, "That's way too few!"

What could seven laser beams do? At least seven hundred would be needed!

"Can't help it, that's all there is!"

Chen Fei was also helpless; he needed to quickly clear Old David's place to amass energy points and finish off that mutant.

This line of logic really was odd.

That damn Dog System was always up to no good.

Destroying the Eagle Nest private airport would yield 2000 energy points, enough for Chen Fei to give the basic laser emitter and the super capacitor another upgrade.

A million-watt laser cannon would strike with an instant kill—it just depended on whether the super-sized Qian Chuanzi would die or not.

"Then aim for its vitals, start with the head."

As an old pilot, Instructor Ramaya offered advice on the spot.

"I'll give it a try!"

Controlling the F-22, Chen Fei struggled to adapt to the low-altitude complex airflow changes, as stabilizing the laser beams on one point was not an easy task.

The HUD's aiming reticle once again enveloped the super-sized Qian Chuanzi, and by leveraging the mouth position and the base of the tentacles, he barely identified the creature's head.

Biu—one shot!

A tentacle was burned off, and the Qian Chuanzi started going berserk, hopping and jumping around, rolling on the ground and trashing Old David's airport beyond recognition.

Away from the Eagle Nest private airport by five kiloters, the convoy carrying all the staff was grandly escaping towards a nearby town; their deaths would be certain if they had stayed.

In their scuffle with the mutant, Chen Fei and Instructor Ramaya managed to buy enough ti for everyone else to evacuate.

"Jiu!"

An unexpected bird call made Old David, who was intently driving a rugged pickup, flinch.

Who'd be chirping in the dead of night?

When he realized what was happening, inside the spherical bird nest bound to the passenger seat by a safety belt, a feathered ball nestled close to a Light Beast Crystal Core twitched slightly.

Then it quivered again before the trembling grew more intense and the ball of feathers exploded...

"What's happening?"

Old David was so startled that he swerved the steering wheel; the pickup broke away from the convoy, charged to the side of the road, then he stomped on the brakes, surging forward more than a ter before finally stopping.

"Jiu!"

This ti, he heard it clearly, his gaze shifting uncertainly towards the spherical bird nest that was undergoing a strange transformation.

It had always been quiet before, so why were there suddenly bird calls coming from it?

Without warning, a dazzling light burst forth from within the nest, illuminating the entire cabin inside out as if it were day, and even allowing glimpses of ethereal white light mist drifting about.

The old man was nearly scared into a heart attack—what in the world was happening?

"Jiu!"

Amidst a flurry of ceaseless Light Flas, a Little Bird with a small cluster of Crown Feathers gradually took shape, its brightness fading, its glossy black feathers shimring with rainbow hues, its sharp little beak a pale yellow, and its little red claws and bright, clever eyes looked outside the nest, tilting its head curiously.

Man and bird caught each other's gaze dead on.

"Magical Beast?"

Old David's face was a picture of shock.

Was this creature Chen Fei's Pure Light Sparrow?

The mascot of Jiu Defense Company?

The representative Magical Beast?

Could the Pure Light Sparrow's advance in rank cause such a commotion?

Damn it, he was well-read, but you can't fool an old man like this!

And what's with that Crown Feather?

Is this really still a Pure Light Sparrow?

"Jiu?"

The little bird hopped out, looking around, but couldn't see the person it was searching for.

"Hey, Xiao Jiu, don't..."

From its deanor and actions, Old David guessed what it intended to do. He had barely started speaking when the bird vanished from sight.

"Jiu!"

A bird call sounded from afar, a streak of light rapidly flying into the distance.

To be precise, towards the direction of the Eagle Nest private airport.

Unquestionably, the little bird was seeking out Chen Fei.

Old David quickly got out of the truck, looking at the trail of light left by the departing bird and muttered to himself, "This is bad!"

Chen Fei was still in the F-22 Raptor!

The little guy rushing over at this critical mont was only going to cause trouble!

He hastily grabbed the vehicle's radio and said, "Notify the fighters in the sky right now, Xiao Jiu is coming!"

Who's Xiao Jiu?

The person listening on the radio was clueless but followed the boss's order and connected to the aviation communication channel.

"Special alert, Xiao Jiu is on the way! Special alert..."

The important things were said thrice.

Although Instructor Ramaya was equally puzzled, having no idea who Xiao Jiu was,

Chen Fei imdiately realized what was happening and blurted out in response.

"Did Xiao Jiu wake up?"

"Awake" of course ant the successful rank advancent; the little guy had finally beco a unique Third Rank Pure Light Sparrow.

A five-kiloter distance was covered in a blink.

As soon as Chen Fei finished speaking, he saw the "teor" slashing through the night sky.
