Posted for the people who don't read Author's notes. I'm not dead, the story isn't on haitus, I am not making a sudden shift into writing werewolf smut. I'm taking a week to do so intensive research and to stockpile even more chapters so that when I do take a "going places" vacation, the regular flow of chapters won't be interrupted. I'll be back im a week, on September 15th. If you really need to scratch that itch, they are 16 chapter ahead on Patreon. I did look into writing a story where a man is reincarnated as the male lead in a smutty werewolf romance novel. I wrote a first chaper, and it was pretty funny. Then I went and tried to read the things I was parodying and I swear to God I couldn't get past Chapter 2. Just daibolical stuff. It's not even that it's badly written (I really have no grounds to be pretentious there,) it's just that all the genre tropes make cringe almost violently. Just to na two- "He's violent and rapey and I hate him but why am I kind of into it?" and the always popular "Why does this Six Foot Four, rich, embodynt of masculine sex appeal desire so, when I am the most ordinary girl in the world? Who is secretly the most specialist girl in the world?"

Just... no. At the end of the day, I really didn't want to write smut. Not even parody smut. So I shelved it without regret.
It was a pretty funny idea, though. Ancient, nigh unkillable werewolf who has been THE WORST since the days of Babylon is finally soul killed through a mass sacrificial ritual driven by the entire vampire population of Europe. He stays dead for half a second. Just long enough for another soul to slip in. Soul #2 is Generic Depressed Millienial who, unlike the body's official owner, has sothing resembling a concience. Hijinks ensue.
You can see why it would be fun. But damn, do I not want to write smut. At all. So I shelved it. Now to get back to my story about a depressed millenial who is abducted by aliens and uses a power system based on the most depraved of New Age Woo-Woo. My Patrons said it needed more ti in the oven, so I shelved it in favor of Sky Pride but one day. ONE DAY IT SHALL RETURN!
