Edenmont Dungeon.

There was a huge area with sharp pointy rocks piercing towards the ceiling, the place where the six guilds had made their base.

Inside the largest tent present in the area, there was a eting taking place, where the leaders of the six guilds sat around a circular table with two mbers each from their guilds standing behind their seats.

"Have our scouting teams found the two guilds?", Martin Angus, the guild leader of Fanged Legion, a man with blonde hair wearing a half mask on his face asked.

"Not yet, but so of them still haven't returned. They sure are taking their sweet ti.", another man sitting beside him with red hair and wearing a huge furry coat replied, who was Hythe Deklara, the guild leader of Mad Wolves.

"Then we can wait till we have more information about the location of their base before we make any decision.", Endon Basth, the guild leader of Flare Sky muttered seriously.

"There's no need to be so cautious of them, right?", Garlen Kajra, the guild leader of Grey Talons, a short grey-haired man with a hideous-looking face shrugged off, "I an with such a huge number of people on our side and us six Rank 4's, it'll be a piece of cake to defeat them."

"I say the sa. Those two guilds won't be able to defend themselves if our six guilds alliance face them head-on.", Simon Velth, the guild leader of Raven Shields nodded.

The man sitting at the most important seat of the table, Vincent Frawley, the guild leader of Crimsom Dawn, clasped his hands as he glanced at the leaders of the five guilds.

"There's no need to be so impatient.", Vincent said, gaining everyone's attention.

"We have a lot of people and ti on our side. The two guilds will have to co to face us in the end anyway."

He paused for a brief mont as a sharp gleam flashed in his eyes.

"And I'm sure you guys haven't forgotten that our true goal in this guild war isn't just about winning...."

His words brought a variety of reactions from the people present in the eting tent. Especially the two n standing behind each of the guild leaders who gulped in fear at the ntion of their goal.

Garlen and Hythe showed twisted smiles on their faces, Simon and Endon had serious expressions as they nodded, while Martin remained silent with a poker face.

Vincent narrowed his eyes which glowed strangely in the dark tent as he continued his words.

"Our true goal is to massacre every single person from the Twilight Chaos and the Mystic Society guilds."

In a different part of the Edenmont Dungeon.

A group of people hurriedly ran into the tunnels while following the directions pointed out by a silver-haired boy.

"That way! Hurry!"

Felix kept glancing at the map projected beside him as he guided the group into various tunnels and paths, while occasionally peeking behind him to make sure they weren't being caught up.

But every ti he took a peek, he would feel regret and greed as the monsters which were constantly chasing them were sothing he had wished to happen countless tis before.

'Ughh... If I was the only one present here, then I wouldn't need to worry about escaping and could instead kill those monsters one by one....', he thought with a sigh.

Yes, there were a lot of monsters behind them, but Felix knew that with his skills like Earth Swimming, Silent Steps and the Map, he could efficiently deal with them.

'Let's not think like that for now.... I have to ensure the group gets back to the base at least.'

"Over there! Take a left turn into that tunnel!"

He pointed forward as everyone followed his directions blindly, already trusting the boy with their lives after several minutes of running away from the monsters.

"Felix! Are we getting anywhere near to our base?", Victor asked with a frown as they ran. "It's fine if we're not, I don't want to push you more than what you're already doing. As long as we remain safe from the monsters..."

Victor was soone who made decisions based on their possible results, always choosing to opt for the one which gave him the most benefits and aligned with his objectives.

But currently, he didn't hold the power to decide where they were going as only Felix could find their way back, which constantly made Victor doubt and worry.

Felix knew about this but he didn't have the energy to think about anything else as he was already figuring out the way using the little clues he had.

"I'm certain that we're moving towards the base!", he answered as he gasped for breath. "But I think the monsters will catch up to us before we reach there!"

His words scared the group as Victor frowned in worry, knowing they wouldn't be able to face the swarm of monsters in their current state.

"Is there no other way? How about looking for a place to hide from the monsters!", Evan asked as he neared him.

Felix thought for a second as he glanced at the map to check his surroundings and was about to shake his head, but then his eyes lit up as sothing new appeared on the map.

"I don't think we need to escape now. I have a better plan!", he smiled at their curious expressions and guided the group in a different direction.

"Yes. Keep on running there! Now we have to take a left!"

After giving a set of directions, Felix suddenly halted as the rest of the group looked at him in confusion when they reached an intersection with two paths on the left and the right.

"Stop! We'll have to wait here for a while."

Everyone started taking deep breaths as they sweated from the constant run, but that didn't an they cald down.

"Felix, why the hell are we stopping?! The monsters will reach us at this rate!", Evan exclaid as he glanced back.

"What is your plan, Felix? I don't think you're planning to face the monsters, right?", Victor asked with a frown.

"No way, Felix! We can't handle that many monsters on our own! Listen to here, we gotta run away right now!", Elsa shouted as she grabbed onto Felix's shoulders.

"Yes yes, we have to run away boy!", Barry chid in from the side with his hands tied, not understanding why they were all depending on a kid.

Felix ignored them as he narrowed his eyes on the map and calculated the ti they would have to wait there.

"Not yet.... A few more seconds... We have to wait for so seconds more!"

Although the group felt thankful for the wait as they took a small rest, they couldn't help but feel terrified that the monsters would reach them while they took their ti there.

Victor, Evan and the others glanced at each other, not hiding the worries on their faces, but they knew Felix wouldn't put them in danger.

Deciding to trust in him, they maintained their alertness and waited there for so ti, all the while hearing the growls of the monsters who were getting closer.

As they remained silent and cald their nerves, so shadows started appearing from the far end of the tunnel they had co from.

"Shit! It's the monsters!"

"They're gonna co here, we better run!"

So people beca nervous, but Victor assured them.

"Don't worry, Felix has a plan. We'll wait here for now."

It didn't take long before the monsters finally reached the corner of the tunnel, laying their eyes on the group of humans relaxing.

"GRAAGHHHH!!"

The myriad of monsters let out aggressive growls as they sward towards the group of humans, who beca more restless with the approaching danger.

"Umm, boy..... Can we please start running? I don't wanna die just yet.", Barry couldn't help but plead.

Evan wanted to hit their hostage but he agreed with him, so he could only look at Felix in anticipation.

Watching the monsters getting closer and closer to them, Victor was at the end of his wits, prompting him to ask Felix again.

"Felix..... Do we still have to wait?"

The boy only glanced towards the monsters once and turned to look at the map as he nodded.

"Yeah, not yet.... I'll tell you when it's the right ti."

Victor could only gulp, wondering whether they would even have ti to run away later.

The tunnel till the other end was pretty long, like half a kilotre, and the monsters were unorganised as they jumped here and there as they advanced.

And slowly but surely, the monsters got nearer. They reached 300 ters, where they could easily notice the group of humans.

Then they reached 200 ters, and that was when everyone in the group stood up as they got ready to run.

Finally, when the monsters reached 100 ters away from the humans, they increased their speed and rushed over.

"Now! Take the path on the left!", Felix shouted as he peeked at the right path where a few thin shadows were getting near.

"Run!"

The group didn't care about anything as they dashed into the left path, pushing their limits to increase the distance between themselves and the monsters.

"Felix, hurry up!", Elsa shouted when she saw that the boy was still at the intersection looking at the right path.

"Yeah.... Here I co.", Felix grinned and turned his head away, following behind Elsa as everyone disappeared from the intersection.

A few seconds later, so people erged from the right path and paused in shock at what they saw.

What greeted them at the intersection was a large number of grotesque monsters that filled up the tunnel and rushed straight towards them.

"Oh fucking shit! It's a swarm of monsters!"

"Run guys! There's too many of them!!"

"What the fuck! Why are we so unlucky!!?"

"Aaaghh!!!"

The group of people, a scouting team of the Six Guilds alliance, turned around imdiately and ran for their lives like they had never before.

"KRIIGHHKHH!!"

The swarm of monsters saw that the recent group of humans had entered the right tunnel, so they chased after them, leaving a few who jumped towards the left side due to overcrowding.

anwhile, Felix and his group had sprinted far from the intersection. When they glanced back, they saw no signs of the monsters pursuing them anymore.

"What? Where did they all go?", Evan asked in surprise as he was puzzled at their sudden disappearance.

"Felix, what just happened?!"

Elsa turned to the boy who had a sinister smile on his face that he quickly hid away.

"Oh, that? I guess so unlucky people beca the monster bait for us.", Felix shrugged without a care.

"You an....", Victor stared at the boy in shock as he processed what he said and connected the dots.

"The monsters were lured away by so others who happened to be in that right tunnel?"

"Yup. And aside from us, there can only be our enemies here, the six guilds.", Felix bit his lip as he pondered.

'Should I head there and loot so skill points? I'm not gonna get such easy chances of playing the mantis stalking the cicada later....'
