BANG!
"Where is my sister?!"
In the throne room of the royal palace of the Silver Elves, which was made out of pure divine silver, three people stood at the center of the throne room, with one sitting on the throne.
And one, had her silver hair transform into silver lightning as it pointed at the skies in imnse fury.
A spear that cackled with not only lightning but wind and fire was in her hand, and her silver eyes was filled with a rage that could drown the sunder the seas apart.
"Sister. Calm down. You just ca back from the ruins and you haven’t rested."
Olythia, the second Princess of the Royal Family- House Veyl, had a worried expression on her face as she looked at her raging sister, the First Princess.
Syrelle, the First Princess, and the next in line to the throne, looked at Olythia with a deep frown.
"I should calm down? I should calm down? How can you be so calm, sister? Ecles was kidnapped! And you’re all here, doing what? Nothing?!"
Olythia’s expression beca more worried, and she was about to take a step forward, but Syrelle’s expression beca cold.
"Don’t try and stop , Olythia."
Olythia paused, and then she raised her hands slightly.
"I won’t. But you should calm down, sis. We’re not just doing nothing to try and recover the youngest."
Syrelle’s expression beca cold, and she pointed her spear at Olythia.
"She has a na. Not youngest. How many tis do I have to tell you that?"
Olythia’s lips twitched slightly, and then she shrugged slightly. "Alright. We have been trying to find out how Ecles was kidnapped, who kidnapped her, and why."
"And have you found anything?"
Olythia nodded slightly. "We believe that Ecles left by herself. After looking at the recording devices and gathering several clues, Ecles most likely left because of a butterfly."
Syrelle’s expression changed, and a baffled expression appeared on her face.
"A butterfly?"
Olythia nodded. "Yes. We all know how much Ecles loves butterflies, but it seems her love for butterflies made her leave because she was chasing after it."
Syrelle’s expression underwent a series of changes after hearing how her beloved adorable sister left their ho despite the protections, and she truly could not believe it.
"What of the guards? And the watchers? How did Ecles leave without a single guard or watcher noticing? Surely so must have seen her leaving, and they should have prevented her from leaving no matter what."
Olythia’s expression beca solemn, and Syrelle had a bad feeling seeing her sister’s expression.
"And that’s where the problem is. We interrogated the guards and watchers, and we found out that so of the guards and watchers had been killed in that particular hour, Ecles ran after the butterfly."
Olythia’s expression beca more solemn.
"The guards and watchers were killed by other guards and watchers."
Syrelle’s expression drastically changed. "Traitors?"
Olythia nodded with a grave expression. "Yes. Traitors. We believe they’re part of the Freedom Fighters or they have been brainwashed. We’re not sure yet, but it’s an extrely important and grave matter knowing that we had such a threat so close to the palace."
Syrelle shifted her gaze to the throne where her mother sat with her eyes closed, and her head resting on her fist.
If not for the slow rising and falling of her chest, one would think that she was a statue or was dead.
’Seems like mother is still recovering, or she would have sensed Ecles leaving and she would have stopped it no matter what.’
Syrelle shifted her gaze to her elder brother, the First Prince and First Child of their mother- Prince Thalor.
"What of the guards?" She asked with a cold expression.
"Dead." Thalor replied emotionlessly, and Syrelle frowned.
"You’re in charge of security, and this happened. This is extrely terrible from you, and just know that if anything happens to Ecles, you’re dead."
Thalor frowned, and his hand holding the handle of his sword in its sheath tightened slightly.
"You would kill ? Your older brother just because of so mistake that happened because of the destruction of our ho?"
"Shut up!" Syrelle’s aura flared, and arcs of silver lightning flew into the pillars and walls of the throne room.
If not for the fact that the materials the entire palace was made out of were extrely precious and durable materials, the pillars and walls would have crumbled to pieces.
Besides, Syrelle was attentive enough to not use her full powers in the throne room.
"You incompetent fool. I’ll reap out your tongue if you make another foolish statent."
Thalor frowned deeply, and his eyes flashed with a dark light.
"Sister." Olythia called out softly, and Syrelle withdrew her aura.
She glanced at her mother, and she saw that her mother’s expression and body was the sa despite what just happened.
’She’s not angry.’
A sigh of relief escaped her lips, and then Olythia walked forward and held her hands.
"I know you’re furious. Extrely furious, but so are we. However, you should also know that we were able to find out who it was that kidnapped Ecles."
Syrelle frowned with a slightly baffled expression. "Who else would it be if not for those bastard Freedom Fighters?"
Olythia shook her head. "No. It’s not them. It’s the humans. The people of this planet we’re in."
Syrelle’s expression drastically changed, and she would have flared up if not Olythia who tightened her grip on her hands.
"Them? I thought they agreed to a peace treaty with us? Why would they kidnap one of our people? Ecles for that matter?"
Syrelle asked with barely restrained anger, and Olythia shook her head.
"Who knows? The history books of the elders are not wrong. They tell us that humans are the most untrustworthy and treacherous creatures in the universe. They lie and backstab so much that even the Universe disdained to give them extrely high talents."
Syrelle’s gritted her teeth in anger. "Why? Just why? Are they not satisfied with what we’ve given them?"
Olythia exhaled softly. "I don’t know why. But we’ve made them suffer several losses, and we’ll most likely have a war with them. It’s just that it’s going to be extrely dangerous for our people.... We might truly go extinct at this point."
Syrelle closed her eyes in pain, and she was about to say sothing, but then she sensed sothing and frowned.
Thalor looked in a particular direction with a slight furrow of his brows, and Syrelle opened her eyes and looked in the sa direction.
"Are my senses deceiving ?"
Olythia raised her brows with a confused expression, and then she looked in the sa direction with narrowed eyes.
A second later, her eyes widened. "Ecles?"
Whoosh!
She turned to her right, but she saw Syrelle no more.
She looked at Thalor, and she saw him having furrowed brows on his face. She circulated her mana and quickly spoke.
"Let’s go quickly."
She vanished, and a second later, Thalor did too.
