When Corey heard Pala’s true reason for choosing to stick with him despite the clear disadvantages, he felt more at ease and less suspicious since she was right.

He had also thought about it before coming to the Chained Firmant, and even after seeing so many Tier 6 beasts and the aura of beasts that could be called Half-Step Tier 7 beasts.

He had never faced a Tier 7 before, and the only being that was Tier 7 and he faced was the Throne of the Shattered Dinsion of the Old Ones.

But since he was basically trashed around, and the Throne had not taken him seriously in the slightest, he could not use that to asure the power of a Tier 7.

He had planned that if he ever encountered a Tier 7, and he felt that it was unbeatable, he would run. Run as fast as the wind, and survive no matter what.

Another thing that gave him the confidence to survive was his newly acquired Gravenheart Armor, one of the rewards he got for defeating Death and completing the system trial.

With it, he could avoid the killing blow of a Tier 7 and find a way to escape.

But Pala’s words paved way for another idea he had on how to safely explore the Chained Firmant.

Partnering with sobody or a group.

Just like Pala, he had thought of this, but because he felt that he would not be able to find anybody that was strong enough and sobody that was not only strong enough, but sobody that he could trust.

Nobody he knew fit what he needed until he t Pala and discovered that she was also going to the Chained Firmant.

But on the day he realized, the idea of working with her disappeared as quickly as it ca.

She was strong. Yes. But he didn’t trust her one bit.

They had fought in the past, and he had threatened to kill her and she had also threatened to kill him.

They had not bonded enough for both of them to say they could trust one another.

’But if she truly has a bond with Kiefer, Selene, and Willow, then she might not backstab so easily. She still might, but the chances of that happening is not as high as before because of that.’

’And she also taught them.’

Corey furrowed his brows slightly and looked at Pala who still had the sa light smile.

’If not that this fragnt of another planet was as a result of the Book of Death, I would have completely believed that she planned all of this.’

’I would have believed that she taught Kiefer, Selene, and Willow in the three years I was not around to get them to trust her, and then make to believe that she could be trusted to a certain degree.’

’At least the reason why the Chained Firmant is here is related to , and Pala could have definitely not predicted that.’

Although Corey was right to be relieved, what he did not know was that in a way, Pala predicted the descent of the Chained Firmant.

She could not see into the far future, and she could not actually accurately predict things, but the runes could.

Three years ago when Corey was in isolation training, Pala wanted to leave Selene, Kiefer, and Willow to survive on their own since she was under no obligation to take care of them.

However, the runes advised her to take care of them and teach them till Corey ca back. They advised her to beco friends with the three of them, and Pala could recall how stunned she had been back then.

If not for the fact that the runes were 99% of the ti correct, she would have ignored them and lived on her own.

But she listened to them as usual. She took care of and bonded with Kiefer, Selene, and Willow till Corey ca back despite not knowing why the runes told her to do so...

... Until the day the Chained Firmant appeared and today especially.

Four days before they climbed the Chained Firmant, she had a vision.

And in that vision.... she died. She had that dream three tis in a row.

To her, she died in a world that was surrounded by greenery and silver. It was the strangest dream she ever had, and she wondered if the place was a dungeon or sowhere hidden on New Earth.

She had been bothered about the dream a lot, but the mont she appeared on the grassy plains of the Chained Firmant and she saw the greenish silver mana in the air, she instantly recalled the dream.

It was the true reason she had been stunned when they first arrived on the Chained Firmant.

When she also saw the number of Tier 6s, and she also sensed extrely powerful auras from afar that made her skin tingle, she knew that she died on the Chained Firmant in the dream.

She could have chosen to ignore the dream and gave an excuse that it was because she was stressed and fighting a lot, or it was because of sothing else.

But she knew. She knew that having the sa dream three days in a row was not normal.

’It’s a warning from the runes, and it’s also why they’re telling to team up with Corey. Sothing that’s truly dangerous is here. Sothing that can kill .’

Pala turned, and looked in the direction of the colossal trees.

’Those trees look familiar to where I died in the dream. Maybe that’s the most dangerous place in this place... Unfortunately, I didn’t see what or who killed . I only saw my corpse on the floor, laying still without a heartbeat and without a single breath.’

’There was no cut on my neck, or a stab to my heart. I don’t even know how I died or who killed , but I know that I died... To be honest, it’s sort of horrifying.’

A nervous smile appeared on Pala’s lips, and then she shifted her gaze back to Corey.

’And unfortunately, the runes are telling that I need this insufferable man to survive... His seriousness and boring nature might even be the end of . Who knows, that might be what truly killed .’

A scoff involuntarily escaped Pala’s lips, and she saw Corey look at her for a mont before shifting his gaze to Kiefer, Selene, and Willow.

A few monts later, he looked back at her.

"You can follow us. But just know that if you act against or anyone of us, I’m going to kill you for real."

Pala’s lips twitched. "Duly noted, Sir."
