"Pala."
Corey said out loud with a deep frown and a tone of certainty as he stared at the maid whose hand was on his shoulder.
The maid smiled at him, "Took you long enough to figure it out."
Her face changed for a split second, and in that split second, Corey saw Pala’s face.
Corey’s frown deepened, "What are you doing here?"
Pala chuckled, and then she walked to the couch in front of Corey and say on it with a smile on her lips.
"What do you an by why am I here? Am I not ant to be asking you that question?"
"Why are you here? And why didn’t you bother looking for any one of your friends ever since you entered Serithal?"
Corey raised a brow, "You knew when I entered Serithal?"
Pala’s smiled increased just a little bit, and the light of pride flashed in her eyes.
"I have an array that encompasses the entire Serithal and a half a kiloter from its gates... Oh, and Jeremy Draker does not know about that, so don’t go about telling him that I secretly placed an array in the capital of his kingdom."
Corey tilted his head very slightly with a slightly baffled expression, and then he glanced at a particular spot on the roof with slightly furrowed brows.
"Oh. Don’t worry about the projection runes and formations in here. I’ve dealt with them."
"You’re sure you dealt with them properly?" Corey asked with a tinge of intrigue.
Pala chuckled, "When it cos to runes, I’ve never t my match. Runes of this level are very easy to control."
Pala suddenly smiled, "But if you’re curious as to what I did to make sure that those watching don’t know about our conversation or what’s going in here, I can show you."
Corey did not know why, but he had a premonition that what he was going to see was sothing that would shock him.
He tried to think of what it could be, but none of his guesses made any sense to him.
"Show then."
"As you wish." Pala chuckled, and then she snapped her fingers.
A sphere of water that was thrice the size of a basketball appeared in front of Corey, and at first he narrowed his eyes in confusion, but a second later, his eyes widened in sheer disbelief.
"What the?!" He exclaid in shock and disbelief, and Pala began laughing loudly.
Corey shifted his gaze back and forth from the sphere of water to Pala, and he could not help but ask while pointing at the sphere of water.
"What the hell is that?"
Pala chuckled while wiping the tears from her eyes.
"That’s you fucking the maid they gave you." Pala grinned, and Corey’s left eye twitched repeatedly.
"You’re insane."
He wanted to say so many things at Pala, but these were the only words he chose to speak because he felt that if he entertained Pala any longer, she would have the last laugh.
anwhile, Pala chuckled once again, "I’ve heard that so many tis."
Corey shook his head softly, and then he leaned into his couch.
He waited a little bit for Pala to stop chuckling, and then he spoke.
"By the way, seems that you and the king are close."
Pala scoffed, "Close? At all. The guy still lives in a foolish fantasy where he believes he’s the hero of the world, and he’s the only one that can protect the world from the Invaders. It’s annoying as fuck."
"But isn’t he the hero of New Earth?" Corey tilted his head slightly.
"That’s just his shitty class. I don’t know how in the world he got that class, but I hate that class with passion."
"Oh?" Corey raised his brows. "Why?"
Pala clicked her tongue, "Because no matter the situation that bastard is in, he’s always lucky to survive it."
"Also, he’s extrely weird. He’s odd... Just extrely odd."
Corey narrowed his eyes, "How?"
Pala sighed, and then she leaned into her couch. "Well, I don’t really know how to explain it, but first of all, it’s his eyes. His eyes seem... I don’t know how to put it accurately... But his eyes seem dead and sowhat... ancient? Or should I call it old?"
Corey frowned deeply when he heard Pala’s words.
If it were any other person that told him this, he would have ignored their words, but Pala was different.
She was the most talented person he had ever encountered. More talented than Rosa or Divine.
If not for his talent of Omniscience which basically gave him countless brains, and if not for the blood of the Paragon Ancestor flowing through his veins, Pala would be more talented than him no matter what.
’If Pala said that there’s sothing off about Jeremy Draker, then there’s so truth to it.’
’Her senses are definitely extraordinary, and the fact that she was able to hide from despite being so close to is proof that she’s grown.’
’Hmm... I should watch out for Jeremy Draker.’
’Also... the usage of Pala’s words... Ancient... Old... Those two words carry a heavy aning.’
’Don’t tell that Jeremy Draker is probably an ancient being, a god, or an Immortal that has maybe lost his powers?’
’I have to be careful.... Really careful.’
Corey looked at Pala with a thoughtful expression, and then he spoke.
"What else should I know about Jeremy Draker?"
"Hmm?" Pala placed her fingers on her chin with a pondering expression.
"Well... Be careful if you ever clash with him."
Corey raised a brow, "Why?"
Pala stared directly into his eyes, and when Corey looked into her eyes, he saw the reflection of his true face in her eyes.
A wry smile appeared on his lips.
’You’ve got to be kidding . She was able to break through my illusion that’s at Transcendent mastery?... She’s a monster like .’
"If you ever fight him, it would feel like you’re fighting sobody who knows every single thing about you."
