"Do you like them? They're called Maledro's Gu. Courtesy of my late Master."

Corey's voice drifted into Savage's ears from behind him, and Savage looked back and he saw Corey sitting on top of a pile of rubble with an indifferent expression.

Savage glanced at Corey and just as he was about to speak, he coughed out another mouthful of blood.

A baffled expression appeared on his face, and his expression changed to one of disbelief and bewildernt when he saw so many crawling insects in his blood.

"If you were in your right senses, I'm sure you'd have sensed my Master's gift, but because of your rage and current state, all your attention is on ."

Corey shook his head slightly, and then he got off the pile of rubble and calmly approached Savage.

"I think it's ti we put an end to this fight. You bore ."

"I'm the worst match up for you."

Savage's expression slowly twisted into one of anger, and he took a step forward, but then he fell to one knee and coughed out another mouthful of blood.

His skin writhed and crawled as the sight of countless Maledro's Gu moving in Savage's body beca a horrifying sight.

Savage's expression twisted into one of disbelief, pain, anger, and a tinge of despair.

The battle between him and Corey was not a blood pumping battle or a battle where they both exchanged dangerous moves and where their lives were on the line.

Even after his transformation, it was also not a battle of him dominating Corey like he expected.

The battle had just been one of Corey being in control and him being in shock at Corey's abilities.

He still had other skills in his repertoire, but he was extrely wary of Corey's Dreamfire.

Savage had no idea, but Corey's Dreamfire had already instilled a seed of fear in his mind.

Because of this, he was subconsciously thinking over which skill to use because most of his skill dealt with spirits, and Corey's Dreamfire could counter, damage, and even kill his contracted spirits.

The battle was extrely strange to Savage because he had never been placed in such a situation. The battles he had fought were either won with an overwhelming advantage or by a narrow margin.

He could not imagine the last ti he fought sobody who made him feel fear and at the sa ti also intimidated him.

Just as Savage had this thought, the image of an extrely beautiful woman standing in a sea of flas and around her were the most complex runic circles he had ever seen in his life, flashed in his mind.

'Pala... I see now... They're similar... They're existences that are not ant to be.'

'But why do I feel like he's worse?... His aura... It feels... more profound... It feels heavier... It feels like it has more weight than hers.'

'What is he?'

Savage thought with an extrely calm expression as black blood dripped from his nose, eyes, and ears.

Savage's vision was completely distorted due to the poison that was ravaging his body from the Maledro's Gu.

Although his vision was distorted and his body was extrely weak, he could still feel Corey's presence before him.

"I said I was going to defeat you with my fists, but I guess I lied."

"You dying to the last gift my Master left behind for is what you should die to."

Savage groaned, and then he struggled to raise his head. He stared at Corey, and for the first ti since he transford, he spoke.

"What are you?"

Savage's voice was followed by faint, echoing strange voices, dozens of voices, like tortured spirits that mimicked his words.

Corey raised his brows, "So you speak."

"Who are you? And what are you?"

A light smiled appeared on Corey's lips, "Didn't I already tell you?"

"I'm Smile Reaper and I'm your worst nightmare, leader of the Legion of Nightmares."

Corey crouched, and he looked at Savage right in the eye. He could see Savage's hazy eyes that was filled with pain, anger, and in its depth was fear.

Corey chuckled softly.

"Do you know the consequences of killing ?"

"And do you think I care?"

"You don't know anything. You don't know the power that stands behind . They-"

"Are you trying to beg for your life now?" Corey grinned, "If you're not going to give any useful information, then just keep quiet."

Corey kept quiet, and then he straightened his fingers and touched the right side of Savage's chest.

The instant Corey did this, Savage's expression changed and he could not help but chuckle with a self-depreciating smile.

"You even know where my heart is. What the fuck are you?"

"Your worst nightmare."

Corey's nails elongated into grey claws, and Corey coated his claws with Dreamfire. Like knife cutting through butter, he stabbed Savage's chest and brought out his heart.

He stared at heart for a three seconds, and then he clenched his fists and destroyed the heart before burning every trace of it with his Dreamfire.

"Die like your brother and rot in the sa hell as him."

Savage's eyes widened, and he fell to the ground and produced a loud thud.

'The claws I got from the awakening of my Void Phoenix Heart are really sharp. Hmm.'

Corey shifted his gaze to Savage's corpse, and he could see that his Maledro's Gu was still devouring every single bit of Savage's corpse.

"I wonder if there would be any changes to them after they finish devouring his corpse."

Corey mumbled, and then his Eyes of Omniscience changed to his Tri-Pupil Eyes.

His two golden triangular pupils glowed and rotated, and Savage's corpse was stored in the storage space of his Tri-Pupil Eyes.

He looked around for a mont, and then he walked to a certain part of the rubble.

He moved the rubble away with his hands, and his eyes reflected the sight of Orpheus' broken and crushed body.

However, what was not crushed or broken was Orpheus' soul stone.

"Although I've maxed out my stats, I need soul stones to level up."

Corey absorbed the soul stone, and the mont he did, he observed the energy in the soul stone flowing into his Cosmic Soul, and then the soul stone crumbled to dust.

His level did not rise imdiately, and Corey knew why.

Although he had no control over his Cosmic Soul yet and the information he had on his Cosmic Soul was little, he knew that whenever he absorbed a Soul Stone, his Cosmic Soul always refined it and made sure it was pure enough to be absorbed.

After all of this was done, his level would then increase.

So seconds later, his level rose from 402 to 456.
