Old Man Poison, Divine, and the rest of the crew could not believe their ears when they heard the words of the announcer.
After the Shattered Dinsion ca to a close, what occurred next in the Battle of Chosens was a simple tournant.
The tournant was a 1v1 tournant where Chosens could either fight another Chosen or an Underworld resident.
Those who were eligible to participate in the tournant are the individuals that were able to leave the Shattered Dinsion by reaching the portal in the sky.
About 73% of the Chosens and Underworld residents failed to reach the portal in the sky, and the only way they were able to leave the Shattered Dinsion was by dying in the chaotic and mad world of the Old Ones.
Rosa, lissa, Fatty Black Bonez, Old Man Poison, Triple X, and Dave were talented individuals but if they were compared to the truly talented Chosens like Eryndor Castiel of the Supre God Empire or Prince Zeran Aldric of the Scorching Sun Kingdom, they would lose out by a mile.
At least, their current selves.
Divine had to carry each of them to the portal, and although it was difficult and extrely strenuous for him, he was able to carry each of them to the portal.
Because none of them died in the Shattered Dinsion, they were automatically eligible to participate in the tournant of the Battle of Chosens.
However, because of the developing situation regarding Corey, Divine suggested to Rosa and the rest that they should withdraw from the tournant.
They had no idea why Divine wanted them to withdraw from the tournant, but they trusted him enough to withdraw from the tournant.
anwhile, the reason why Divine wanted them to withdraw from the tournant was because of money.
Just like how several of the elders and guardians of the Chosens had guessed, Divine planned on buying Corey, Rosa, and every other mber in his group from the Underworld.
However, Corey's price had increased to an astronomical amount after the stunts he pulled in the Shattered Dinsion, and Divine was worried that he'll have to pay in sweat and blood to buy Corey from the Underworld.
The thought of the price he'd most likely pay to purchase Corey always sent shivers down his spine, and if Rosa, Fatty Black Bonez, Dave, and the rest showcased how unique they were, and worst case scenario, if their potentials blossod in the tournant of the Battle of Chosens, Divine would cry tears of blood because he was certain that the number of organizations that would be interested in them would drastically increase.
This would make their prices to go up, and Divine was worried that he would have to make sacrifices he would rather not if such a situation occurred.
Rosa, Fatty Black Bonez, lissa, Old Man Poison, Triple X, and Dave had withdrawn from the tournant of the Battle of Chosens, but the announcer just announced that Old Man Poison was to fight Lyam, the younger brother of Savage, the leader of the Legion of Nightmares.
"What the hell?! Didn't the old man withdraw from the tournant?!" Rosa shouted with a shocked expression while looking at Old Man Poison who also had a baffled expression.
"That's right. We all withdrew from the tournant. We did it at the sa ti. What's going on?"
Fatty Black Bonez had a deep frown on his face as he stared at the announcer who was staring in their direction with the sa smile he had from the mont he appeared in the Amphitheatre.
"What's going on, Divine? How is this possible?"
lissa looked at Divine with a baffled expression on her face, and Divine looked at her with a solemn expression, and then he spoke with a calm but grave tone.
"Value points."
lissa frowned, and so did Rosa, Fatty Black Bonez, and Dave.
"You think the younger brother of the leader of the Legion of Nightmares paid the Underworld to put back Old Man Poison in the tournant?"
Dave asked, and Divine nodded.
"That's the only explanation."
Divine turned towards Old Man Poison whose expression was no longer one of confusion but calmness.
"You don't have to fight him. It's obvious that sothing suspicious is going on, and your life would be in danger. I can pay the Underworld to cancel this fight."
Old Man Poison shook his head, "If you do that, what's stopping the Legion of Nightmare from paying the Underworld more money to make fight him?"
"Don't forget, you're just one man and the Legion of Nightmares is a large group. They can produce more value points than you, and last ti I heard, your value points were seized in the past and you're not as rich as you used to be."
"The ugly looking kid is just a Tier 4, like . I'll fight him and then I'll win. When I do, you wouldn't have wasted your money on sothing so insignificant."
Without waiting for a response from Divine, Old Man Poison stood and walked towards the arena where Lyam and the announcer were patiently waiting.
Divine's mouth opened and closed multiple tis as he tried to think of what to say to stop Old Man Poison from going, but for so strange reason, nothing ca to his mind.
'Why are my instincts screaming at to stop him from entering that arena no matter what?'
'Why are they so loud?'
'Death is not allowed in the tournant because it would be a waste to have so many talented individuals die.'
'But why am I still so worried?'
'If I try to pay the Underworld to cancel the match, I'm sure it'll cost a lot and just like the Old Man said, I'm no longer as rich as I used to be.'
'The Legion of Nightmare is extrely rich, and Savage loves his younger brother more than he loves cruelty.'
'If Lyam is determined to, he can tell Savage to pay as much as money as possible to make the match happen.'
'I also have to consider the cost of Corey, Rosa, Dave, and the rest.'
'Everything says that I should allow the fight to go on and believe in Old Man Poison, but why does my instincts say otherwise?'
'What should I do?'
