Corey had no idea what he was to expect after he left the naless town, but this ti around, he was extrely wary of one thing.
Distractions.
During his stay in the naless town, he realized that he was easily distracted despite knowing that he was to reach the Altar of Hell as fast as possible.
Ever since he got his talent of Omniscience, he beca an extrely curious fellow, and being in a strange town in a Tribulation of Hell naturally piqued his curiousity.
If he decided from the mont he stopped talking with Old Man Ten that he wanted to leave the town and that he was not going to spend so ti observing the town and its people, he would have left the town a long ti ago and the skeleton would most likely not be as heavy as it currently was.
Outside the town was a narrow path that seed to be made for just a single individual, and when Corey saw it, he had a feeling that he would most likely not see a single settlent on his way to the Mountain of Giza.
At first, this thought made Corey to pause.
What if he needed a place to obtain information.
What if he needed a place to obtain resources that could help him with the Tribulation.
What if he encountered extrely strange and powerful entities, and his only way of survival was to hide in a building of a settlent like he did in the naless town.
What if he needed help?
There were so many what it's that appeared in Corey's mind, and at the end of all these thoughts, the last thought he had was, Wouldn't it be better to go back to the town and try to obtain more information on the Mountain of Giza, Altar of Hell, the insane people, and the Tribulation itself?
These thoughts were so strong in Corey's mind to the point that Corey had to take a pause in his steps and look back at the naless town.
A part of him, a small part of him knew that these thoughts were foreign and not truly his, but the thoughts were so strong and precise to the point that Corey considered going back to the naless town.
He was about to take a step back, but then his violet-blue eyes glowed brightly as his Stars of Consciousness and his Cosmic Soul fought against these thoughts.
The thoughts went out of his mind for a few seconds, but these few seconds were crucial for Corey to get himself.
He realized that he was being influenced, and that he had to get control of himself.
He quickly looked away from the naless town and took a step forward, but despite doing this, the thoughts ca back and Corey beca pissed.
He instinctively used his Phantom Plague Axe Intent, and the image of a faint colourless axe appeared in his eyes.
The mont he used his Intent, the thoughts disappeared from his mind, and his mind beca clearer.
Corey felt it clearly that when he used his Intent, it had attacked and infected these strange thoughts with the countless thoughts that his main consciousness and Stars of Consciousness always had, and this overwheld it.
Corey was surprised by this developnt but he was nevertheless pleased and relieved by it.
With his mind clear of these thoughts, he set out on his journey to the Mountain of Giza. However, he realized that the second Tribulation of Hell was much more difficult than it seed.
None of the foreign thoughts he had were for example;
What if you beco hungry on your way to the Mountain of Giza and you're not able to find a settlent?
What if you beco tired and need a place to rest?
What if you beco lonely and need people to interact with?
What if you beco gravely injured and need people to heal you?
What if the journey to the Mountain of Giza is much more dangerous than you expected?
None of the thoughts he had were these, but were thoughts that could genuinely convince him to go back to the naless town.
The Tribulation knew him and his personality, and so it knew what could influence him and what could not, and this made the Tribulation more dangerous in his eyes.
An enemy that knew you was more dangerous than an enemy that knows nothing about you.
Unknown to Corey, as he began walking on the path to the Mountain of Giza, the naless town behind him vanished into a fog of smoke, and a large golden eye appeared in the fog for a mont before vanishing entirely.
As Corey walked, to his right and left was just flat land with grass, insects, and so birds in the air. There were no animals, and no living creature in sight.
Exactly two minutes later, Corey stopped walking and he realized sothing terrifying.
'Didn't I tell myself that I was going to run to the Mountain of Giza? Why am I walking?'
Corey exhaled deeply, and then he subconsciously glanced at the skeleton on his back.
'Even now, I'm still being subtly influenced. In my mind, I was thinking of taking it easy and trying to see if there was any danger as I walked, but my goal is to reach the Mountain of Giza as fast as possible without getting distracted.'
'This tribulation is extrely frightening.'
Corey closed his eyes, and after issuing a command to his Stars of Consciousness, he began running with the 7,000kg skeleton on his back.
It was not easy and it reduced his speed, but Corey kept on running with a focused expression.
Corey ran for 48 hours, and if not for his perfect control over his body and breathing, his extrely pure and large mana storage, and his Stats of Consciousness, he would have been exhausted and would choose to rest for so ti.
He knew he could not do this forever, but he was not going to stop until he had no choice but to stop.
Approximately three hours later, Corey's eyes glinted when he saw a destroyed carriage along with a group of people so ters in front of him.
'Let's see what this Tribulation of Hell has for .'
