Prince Zeran's room which was on the third floor of the Mirstone Suite was simple yet luxurious. It was strange how two words that were polar opposites could be used together, but that was the perfect definition of Prince Zeran's room.

Polished blackstone walls flower glowed faintly with golden runes, casting a soft light across the space. A large desk of dark wood sat at the center, neat and organized, with a glowing orb and perfectly scattered scrolls resting on its surface.

A high-backed crimson chair stood behind the desk, while a massive window to the left offered a view of the Obsidian Pillar and the glowing rivers of Azgul Fortress. Shelves lines the opposite wall, filled with worn books and scrolls, and a single painting above them depicted the image of a sun across a desert.

The faint scent of burnt spices lingered in the air, it was subtle but ever-present, matching the quiet yet undeniable authority the room exuded.

Siting on the high-backed crimson chair was a man who seed to be in his late twenties. He had golden-blonde hair, bronzed skin, and sharp hazel eyes.

He was dressed in a long, white coat with faint golden patterns that looked like rays of sunlight spreading out from his chest. Beneath the coat, he wore a simple high-collared white tunic that fit perfectly. It was paired with clean white trousers and polished black boots.

Draped over his right shoulder was a white cape with gold trim, and on the back of the cape was the sigil of the Scorching Sun Kingdom- a blazing sun with flickering flas.

The 14th prince of the Scorching Sun Kingdom had a stoic expression as he gazed at Divine, Corey, and lissa who were seating in front of him.

His gaze was first on Divine, and then it shifted to lissa, before finally landing on Corey. A tense silence engulfed the room for a few seconds before it was broken Prince Zeran.

"Before we get down to business, do you want anything to drink or eat? You're my guests in this place, and as the host, I have to show proper etiquette."

Corey and lissa raised their brows in surprise when they heard this. They never expected sobody who had an extrely high status as the Prince of one of the top kingdoms of the universe to offer them refreshnts and food.

In their minds, they expected the Prince to treat them with indifference and superiority because of their status as prisoners of the Underworld. They had no status or reputation, and the only person who had considerable status was Divine.

In their minds, only Divine should be treated with 'respect' by a Prince of the Scorching Sun Kingdom.

'Well, Divine never said the Prince was arrogant. Maybe because of the life he lived, he decides to treat everybody with respect… and then he finds a way to use them to his benefit?'

As Corey had this thought, he shook his head and politely rejected the Crown Prince's offer.

"Thanks, but I'm good."

'Who knows if the drink and food would be poisoned or have sothing in it.'

lissa and Divine also politely declined the Prince's offer, and they had the sa thought as Corey.

Prince Zeran nodded his head without a change in his expression. He could guess what was on their minds because he would also have the sa thought and decline the drink or food of a stranger he knew nothing about.

"First of all, I have to say that you three are more unique in person compared to the reports I was given." Prince Zeran said, and then his eyes remained on Corey much longer than Divine and lissa.

"Especially you, Smile Reaper."

lissa and Divine subtly glanced at Corey for a fraction of a second before shifting back their gazes at the 14th Prince.

Despite the Prince's words, Corey had a calm and stoic expression, and he remained silent for a few seconds before speaking.

"Why did you send your ssenger to specifically, and not Divine or lissa who are at higher tiers than I am?"

Prince Zeran leaned into his chair, and his sharp hazel eyes stared straight into Corey's violet-blue eyes. The staredown continued for approximately four seconds, and then the lips of Prince Zeran curled up slightly.

"Unlike most Chosens, I requested to have the list of every single individual that was participating in the Battle of Chosens, and you were an anomaly in this list."

"You're the only Tier 2 that's participating in the Battle of Chosens, and although what I heard was that the reason why you're able to participate in the Battle of Chosens is because you're affiliated with the heir of the House of Divine and because of the recomndation of the Manager of the Underworld Emporium, I still found it strange."

Prince Zeran paused, and then he gestured at Divine.

"Those that know about you participating in the Battle of Chosens believe that it's the heir of the House of Divine that would carry you through so of the stages of the Battle of Chosens so that you could obtain so rewards to strengthen yourself, which would then strengthen his group."

Divine's left eye twitched when he heard this, and although he wanted to say sothing, he decided otherwise.

Prince Zeran calmly shifted his gaze back at Corey, "Although I had my thoughts about you, eting you in person has made to realize you're one of the most unique Tier 2's I've ever t."

Corey frowned.

'I never expected him to… 'complint' this much. I wonder if he can sense or see anything special about … Did he try to inspect my status window? Although I didn't sense anything, it's possible he tried to see my stats.'

'Hopefully, Nina was able to prevent him from seeing anything important if he tried to see my stats.'

Just as Corey had his thought, Prince Zeran shifted slightly on his chair.

"I know you must want to know the details of the battle my ssenger told you about."

Corey, Divine, and lissa said nothing, but their expressions perfectly portrayed their answers.

"Have you ever heard of a being in this Shattered Dinsion called The Throne?"
