"And they call a monster."
Pala chuckled when she heard Zal'Zerael's words. She moved closer to the draconic abomination and stared straight into its eyes with a light smile.
"Although Chainworld Genesis is powerful and bends the rules and laws of reality… I think…"
Pala scratched the side of her head with slightly furrowed brows while mumbling softly. Shen then shrugged and continued speaking.
"Like I was saying… Although Chainworld Genesis is powerful, it has its limitations."
Pala looked at one of the chains with a pondering light in her eyes for a few seconds before shifting back her gaze to Zal'Zerael.
"It consus an imnse, and I an an imnse amount of energy to sustain. Even with my vast energy reserves, it still puts a strain on my body and mind. Luckily for , I'm strong."
Pala winked at the chained colossal abomination, and Zal'Zerael growled in anger and frustration.
"Another limitation of Chainworld Genesis is that I also risk binding myself by these chains if I lose focus. You see… These chains are sowhat sentient, and if I were to let them loose, they would instantly seek to bind and crush anybody that's in its domain… Even I, the creator of this… "world."
Pala gave a genuine smile as she explained the limitations of her ability to her enemy. Zal'Zelael had a sowhat baffled expression after listening to Pala's words.
Although he was surprised that Pala decided to tell it about the limitations of her self-created art, when he heard the limitations, he realized that they were not really limitations.
The amount of mana and energy Pala was sothing that shocked Zal'Zerael to its core. Although it never said anything about Pala's incomprehensible amount of energy or showed its shock, it was absolutely shocked by the amount of mana and energy Pala had.
The reason why it was able to use so many extrely powerful skills was because it had the lightning infinity crystal in it, which granted it an almost infinite amount of energy.
It always thought that only those who possessed another infinity crystal would be able to compete with it in terms of mana quantity and quality, but it could not sense a shred of the aura or energy of an infinity crystal in her.
It was extrely shocking, and the more it fought Pala, the more it realized that it was fighting a being that was definitely not a human at all.
With the amount of energy Pala had, Zal'Zerael knew that she could most likely sustain the Chainworld Genesis for an indefinite period of ti.
As for making Pala's focus falter or waver, Zal'Zerael had a feeling that it would be nigh impossible to make Pala lose focus.
For the first ti since its existence, it was
'If a monster like her is allowed to grow, the power of the Outsiders would increase by a vast amount and more of their greedy hands would reach out to the shattered dinsion.'
'I have to kill her.'
Zal'Zerael's eyes flashed coldly, and then it roared, its body writhing as it tried to break free. "I don't care if this is a skill that can bend the laws of reality or not… All I know is that a human like you will not hold !"
Pala laughed so loud that her voice rang through the storm. "Oh, little Zal, you're cute when you're mad."
Zal'Zerael was about to respond in anger, but its anger was stuck in its throat when it saw Pala raise her hand, and a small but powerful glowing rune that radiated raw, unbridled power, hovering above Pala's left hand.
Its knowledge of runes made it instantly realize what this rune was, and this realization ignited its fury from the bottom of its heart.
'An enslavent rune!"
"You know, it'll be a sha for a being like you to die in a world like this," Pala said with the sa playful, arrogant, and confident tone as she gazed at the rotating rune that hovered above her left hand.
However, the mont she shifted her gaze back to Zal'Zerael, her gaze beca sharp and cold, and her voice beca cold and commanding.
"Submit and beco my mount. I've decided that you're worthy to beco my mount… You're powerful and you can manipulate the runes, you're worthy to beco my mount."
Zal'Zerael growled with its glowing eyes narrowing. Despite its fury, it knew it had to stay calm when facing the monster in human skin in front of it.
"I'd rather die than beco another person's mount."
Pala smiled when she heard this. "Well, I expected such a response from you, so I can't say I'm surprised."
Zal'Zerael was about to speak, but then it saw Pala glancing at its solar plexus, and its eyes flashed coldly with killing intent.
"You see, I'm not entirely sure if I should actually keep you as my mount because I know that one of the main reasons for your strength is an object in your solar plexus, and I want that object no matter what… even if you have to die for to get it."
Pala's silver eyes gazed into the draconic abomination's glowing white orb of eyes, and both had cold expressions. However, Zal'Zerael had a different thought.
'She doesn't know what the object is but she can perceive through the runes and her extrely high affinity with mana.'
'Also, she has no idea of the fragnt of the Old Ones in … Well, even if she does, she would most likely not want it… It corrupts the soul and alters the body of anybody that cos close to it, talk less of sobody like who consud it.'
'Although it gave imnse power, it altered my very being… I used to have the majestic and glorious form of a dragon in the past… This shattered dinsion… always takes and never gives.'
"You are… impressive, Outsider," Zal'Zerael rumbled as it had these thoughts, "But do not think this is over."
Pala's smirk widened as she lowered her left hand toward the draconic abomination. "Oh, I don't. But it's fun watching you squirm."
Pala mocked, and then she asked once again with a cold tone, "Will you submit or not?"
Zal'Zerael gazed into infinity-marked silver eyes, and then its voice rang throughout the Raging Sky.
"Imperium; Lord of The Storms."
