'What the fuck is this thing?'
'It's over four hundred ters long, and its wings are even longer. They're like five hundred ters long... The hell?'
When Pala had this thought, a low rumble echoed across the skies, deep and ominous, as though the heavens themselves groaned under so unseen weight.
The black clouds churned violently, coiling and twisting like serpents in a frenzy. Lightning crackled within the depths of the clouds, bright arcs of electric blue, silver, and violet tore through the darkness in chaotic flashes.
The air grew heavy and Pala found it a little bit difficult to breathe. When she noticed this, a solemn light flashed in her eyes.
She knew just how special she was, and she knew that if she found it difficult to breathe, then people like Selene would most likely faint or collapse under this pressure.
As Pala gazed at the monstrosity in front of her with the most solemn gaze she had ever had, the runes warned her once again, but this ti around, the warning was more subtle.
It was not a warning of lethal danger but of a minor one.
Without hesitation, she summoned up her defenses in a fraction of a second, and then the runes went silent.
Two seconds later, it descended.
The monstrosity, the abomination, the calamity in front of her… spoke.
"What made you think you could barge into my territory and interrupt my sleep?"
Pala frowned heavily when she heard the calamity in front of her speak.
The voice was not natural. It was a sound that defied description. It was a cacophony of grinding tal, tearing stone, and the screeching of a falling and wailing sky.
The air itself seed to split apart under the weight of the voice, sending visible shockwaves that rippled outward. The shockwaves slamd into Pala, but a ripple appeared in front of Pala the mont the shockwaves were a ter from touching her.
The shock, disbelief, confusion, and fear that Pala previously felt could no longer be seen on her face. Instead, a calm and extrely serious expression could be seen on her face.
First of all, she was surprised that the being in front of her could speak.
Secondly, what the runes were telling her about the being in front of her was that the being was going to be the most powerful being she would ever face.
It was much stronger than Raegar. In fact, from what she could sense, the calamity in front of her would be able to kill Raegar with ease, and this shocked Pala a little bit.
Raegar was an Ascendant, and he was not just any random Ascendant. He was a talented Ascendant, a strong Ascendant that would be able to defeat so many Tier 6s outside the shattered dinsion.
'And this thing is not the Throne. If sothing like this is not the Throne but it's this strong, then how powerful is the Throne?'
Pala solemnly thought as she recalled Gunnarr's words of the strongest being of the shattered dinsion.
A part of her had been taking the Tainteds and Abominations of the shattered world with levity. With her abilities, not even an Ascendant as powerful as Raegar was able to make her fight seriously, but the appearance of the being in front of her made her realize that she could not take the inhabitants of the shattered dinsion with indifference, nonchalance, and levity.
Despite all of these thoughts she had towards the monstrosity in front of her, there was a particular voice only she could hear, and this voice was from the runes of the world.
They were telling her that the calamity in front of her was in possession of sothing that would give her indescribable benefits, benefits that could not be asured at all.
According to the runes, what she would gain would benefit her till she died.
When Pala heard this, a greedy light filled with desire flashed in her eyes. However, the next words of the runes made her thoughts freeze.
'Corey also wants the sa thing?... It's because of the object he ca to the Raging Sky.'
Pala had the urge to sigh out loud.
The runes had already told her that unless she was ready to forfeit the most important object in the Raging Sky, she would most likely fight Corey to the death.
She had been hoping that such would not be the case, but if the item the dragon-like abomination possessed was extrely beneficial to her, then there was no way she was going to forfeit it.
'Well… I have to defeat this thing first.'
Only two seconds had gone by after the creature in front of her spoke. The speed of her thoughts was beyond the capabilities of many Mystic Beings.
"What… or who are you?"
Pala calmly asked, and the creature flapped its wings twice before speaking.
"I am… The Thunderborn Calamity of The Raging Heavens… One of the Seven Deadly Powers of the Old Ones… I am…. Zal'ZeraeL."
The instant Zal'Zerael said its na, the heavens above rumbled and thunder rolled like an endless drumbeat. Lightning fell in relentless waves, and the winds howled with such ferocity that even the trees far away from them seed to bow in terror.
A heavy downpour of rain fell from the sky, but the rain that fell was no ordinary rain. It was sharp, biting, and charged with static energy that prickled at the skin and numbed the senses.
Despite all these phenona occurring around her, Pala's gaze never left Zal'Zerael. The heavy electric rain fell on her, but the mont any raindrop was an inch from touching her, a ripple would spread outward, and the rain would harmless slide down her body.
Although it seed like the rain was touching her, Zal'Zerael and those with keen eyes would be able to notice that the rain was not touching her in the slightest.
Pala continued staring at Zal'Zerael for three seconds, and then she smiled.
"Nice na."
Zal'Zerael's searing white eyes gazed straight into Pala's eyes, and though there was no change in its gaze or eyes, the runes around Zal'Zerael told Pala that it was pissed.
"You are extrely different compared to the other Outsiders I've t… Your na…. Before I kill and devour you…. I'll give you that grace."
Zal'Zerael said with an arrogant tone, and Pala cocked her head to the side with a smile.
"Pala, the leader of the Destroyers of Darkness, and… The Motherfucking Baddest Bitch you'd ever et."
Pala said, and then she blew a kiss at Zal'Zerael. For the first ti since it could rember, Zal'Zerael was stunned.
