'They're more than I expected.'
As Corey stared at the army of the Anacletus clan approach them with cold and malicious gazes, his eyes could not help but flicker.
'This should be the first ti I'll be facing an army right?'
Despite the fact that in front of them was an army of over a thousand, and behind them was an old man that was stronger than an average tier 6, Corey was still calm.
He had been in a lot of dangerous situations in the past, and to him, this was already the norm... Being in a situation that could cost him his life.
He silently and subtly moved his fingers, and a white powdery substance sprinkled down his fingers.
'Fortunately-'
Just as Corey was about to delve into his thoughts, his expression changed, and he could not help but curse inwardly.
'Damn it!'
The army of the Anacletus clan had stopped moving when they were approximately a hundred ters away from them. However, standing directly in front of the army was to their surprise, a female.
The female had a deep scarlet hair that flowed like blood down to her waist, her eyes were a piercing molten gold, and on her body was an armor-like gown woven from enchanted silk and thorny vines that were blood red in color. On her partially exposed legs and arms revealed rune tattoos that resembled burning blooming flowers.
This woman was Aethara Anacletus, and the instant she appeared in front of the army, Corey felt shivers running down his spine and a familiar feeling emanating from the woman.
'Poison! She also uses poison?... And she's also stronger... more dangerous than Gunnarr.'
Corey's expression was one of mild surprise as he gazed at Aethara who also gazed back with a calm and apathetic expression.
"Let's make a deal."
Corey, Pala, and Selene were taken aback when they heard these words. They turned towards Raegar with visible expressions of surprise and confusion.
"What deal?"
Pala asked with furrowed brows, and Raegar smiled slightly.
"As you can see, you're surrounded... and though you're powerful and special, it's obvious that you cannot get out of this alive."
Raegar spoke with a calm smile, and Selene could not help but twitch her brows.
'Surprisingly, we share the sa thought.' Selene inwardly mocked herself, although her expression remained the sa.
"Since you can't get out of this alive, let's make a deal that would be fair and equal to both us."
"Why do you want to make a deal? What's in it for you?"
As soon as Raegar finished speaking, Pala asked the question that was on her mind, the mind of Selene, Corey, and even the soldiers.
Aethara already knew the reason for Raegar's behavior and words, but her expression remained the sa.
anwhile, Corey and Pala had an idea as to why Raegar wanted to make a deal with them, it was better not to make assumptions.
Raegar's smile receded slowly, and his expression went back to its usual cold and indifferent appearance.
His gaze shifted from Pala, Corey, and Selene to the soldiers behind them, and then he shifted his gaze back to the trio.
"As you know, you Outsiders don't actually die when you're killed in our world. Instead, you sustain losses and then you are revived back in your world... anwhile, we Tainteds and inhabitants of our world die true deaths when we are killed."
Pala nodded her head in agreent, and Raegar continued.
"Even though you'll surely not make it out of here alive if a battle ensues, I'm certain that so of my warriors would die even if I try to prevent it... Losing even one of my warriors is not worth it if a deal can be made, and we can settle our grievances through this deal."
The expressions of the entire army changed, and Corey could see respect, awe, and joy in their eyes as they gazed at Raegar Anacletus with reverence and respect.
anwhile, Pala turned toward Corey and Selene with her hands raised in a gesture that said, 'So what now?'
Corey furrowed his brows and stared at Raegar with a tinge of suspicion in his gaze. A contemplative light flashed in his eyes for a second, and then he spoke.
"What's the deal about?"
A smile appeared on Raegar's lips, and then he spoke with a light tone.
"It's simple actually... Since you killed Gunnarr who was a Dreadkeeper and a pillar of the Anacletus clan, I'll need sothing of equal value in exchange for his death."
Corey, Pala, and Selene's expression changed when they heard this.
Corey's expression beca cold.
A mocking smile appeared on Pala's lips.
And Selene released a tired sigh.
'Oh no.' Selene had the urge to facepalm.
"Leave behind your Genesis Armants and your left arms, then everything would be settled."
Corey's expression beca colder, Pala's smile widened, and Selene could no longer hold it in and she facepald when she heard Raegar's 'deal'.
"Wow, you must have really gone senile, old man. What made you think we'd ever agree to such a deal?"
Pala chuckled with a slightly wide smile.
"You not only want our Genesis Armants, you also want our left arms?... To do what exactly?... Jerk yourself off?"
Pala spoke with a mocking tone and expression, and Raegar's expression beca stiff for a mont before returning back to normal.
"Well... I did forget to tell you sothing, so I admit I might actually be becoming senile."
Raegar slowly spoke with a cold and deep tone.
"Although, you Outsiders might not die when killed, what would happen if your souls are trapped and tortured for an eternity?... Believe ... Death is better than so situations and experiences."
Pala's smile slowly faded away, and even Corey and Selene's could not help but beco more solemn.
"So... what is your answer... deal... or no deal?"
Raegar slowly asked, and Corey smiled.
"Here's my answer."
He slowly raised his right hand, and then he snapped his fingers. The instant he did, Raegar and Aethara's expression changed, and Raegar roared.
"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
