459 458: I'll Restrain, You'll Kill
"Hahahahahahaha!!!"
Gunnarr's laughter resounded in the ears of Corey, Pala, and Selene, causing each of them to frown.
Pala's frown was the deepest, and a baffled expression could also be seen on her face.
After Corey ca to terms with the fact that he had jinxed everything and made it worse for them, he glanced at Pala and noticed her expression.
"What's wrong?"
Pala glanced at him before shifting her gaze towards Gunnarr who had a smile of mockery on her lips.
"From the mont he appeared before you, I already knew that he was planning on sothing and was communicating with sobody, and I tried to stop it. No, I didn't try to stop it, I stopped it."
Pala furrowed her brows deeper.
"That was one of the reasons I decided to attack him because I knew that he was up to no good. I stopped the communication, and since I no longer sensed anything from him, I thought he had stopped and we were safe… Surprisingly, I was wrong."
Corey raised his brows when he heard this, and he glanced at Gunnarr who now had a calm expression.
'Is that why he had been looking at her even when he was speaking?' Corey thought.
"How did you do it?"
Pala asked, and Gunnarr tilted his head to the side.
"It's so simple actually… Out of precaution, I told the family head what I had seen before coming here. I and the family head saw no reason for to do such a thing since you were just a Tier 2 and a Tier 4, but I just felt like I had to do it."
"Luckily I did."
Gunnarr smiled with visible mockery on his face, and Pala's left eye twitched.
"So what are we going to do now?"
Selene asked with a calm expression. Although a part of her told her that she was ant to be worried and anxious, Corey's presence cald her a lot.
She knew just how powerful, ingenious, and lucky Corey was. So to her, as long as Corey was not anxious, then the situation was not without hope.
However, she suddenly recalled what she had seen and she frowned slightly. She glanced at Corey and was about to speak, but her eyes widened slightly when she saw that Corey's eyes had beco purely white.
'What?'
"You said 'The family head'?... You're not the family head of the Anacletus clan?"
The smile on Gunnarr's smile increased when he heard Corey's words, and then he laughed in a creepy manner.
"Hehehehehehe… You truly are sothing else, you notice what other people don't notice."
Corey frowned in disgust at the extrely creepy laugh.
"Of course, I'm not the family head, do you think the Anacletus clan which is one of the top three clans of Stormhold City would have a leader that's just a Dreadkeeper? Did you read in a book or did the local citizens of Gravenstone City tell you that the leaders of the top three clans in Stormhold City are Dreadkeepers?"
"Foolish! Of course not!"
"Our family head is an Ascendant! The family heads of the top three clans are Ascendants! We made the public think that the family heads of the top three clans are Dreadkeepers to fool them, you fools!"
"Hahahahahahahaha! I was thinking of striking a deal with you before, but you dare make fall on my knees? You dare make kneel?"
"You dare make , Reaper of a Thousand and The Behemoth Slayer fall to his knees?!"
"You will perish and suffer for eternity by my hands!"
Gunnarr's expression was one of imnse anger and madness as he spoke with a growl. His aura flared to life, his ponytail swayed intensely, the rune tattoos on his body glowed with a dark silver light, black lightning appeared around him, and with every movent of the lightning bolts around him, loud thunderclaps could be heard, and the ground beneath him charred and cracked.
Corey and Pala frowned, but their expressions were as calm as a lake. They didn't take a step back, and the distance between the duo and Gunnarr was less than a ter.
Surrounding Corey were hundreds of invisible hexagon barriers that were getting destroyed by the second. Normally, Corey's hexagon barriers should not have lasted so long before Gunnarr's unrestrained aura.
However, imbued inside Corey's hexagon barriers was not only the mana of two infinity crystals, but the presence of mystic force also helped strengthen Corey's hexagon barriers by a large degree.
Pala was able to sense the mystic force surrounding Corey, and she furrowed her brows in surprise.
'He has Mystic Force as a Tier 2? Is that possible? I got mine when I was a Tier 3.'

She rely used her mana to disperse Gunnarr's aura, and she did so with little to no effort.
anwhile, Selene had instinctively taken a step back after Gunnarr released his aura, and though she had a slightly worried expression, she was mostly calm.
She glanced at Corey and then shifted her gaze to Pala before releasing an internal sigh.
'Monsters.'
She thought, and then she glanced at Corey.
"So, what are we going to do now?"
Corey chuckled, and then he rotated his right arm before holding his massive axe with it.
"Isn't it obvious… We kill him."
Selene nodded slightly, 'I expected such.'
Just as Selene had this thought, a loud laugh resounded in her ears.
"You want to kill ? I admit that you're a very powerful tier 2, but you're way out of your league kid…" Gunnarr snarled, and then he glanced at Pala, "... I only have business with her."
Corey raised his brows, "Is that so?"
He glanced at Pala with his brows still raised, and Pala shrugged indifferently, "We don't have ti. I'll restrain him, and you'll finish him off."
Corey raised his brows the more, 'Why don't you just blatantly say you just want to see how I'll kill him?'
Corey thought, and then he shrugged nonchalantly, "Just make sure to restrain him properly."
Pala smiled, but the instant she smiled, her face changed and a voice resounded in her ears.
"Who gave you the guts to treat like an ant?"
