455 454: Genesis Armant; Grade of Runes
As Finley's body fell apart, a strange silence filled the surroundings. For a mont, it seed like the world had gone silent and ti had stopped, however, that was not the case.
What Corey, Selene, and Pala did not know was that apart from the four of them, there was another person who had been observing the fight between Corey and Finley.
This individual was the Dreadkeeper.
Except for Selene, Pala and the Dreadkeeper were both shocked by the battle between Corey and Finley.
The Dreadkeeper was shocked for two main reasons.
The first was the outco of the fight. Despite the fact that he had seen Corey teleport before his very eyes, the Dreadkeeper did not believe that Corey would win.
The gap between Tier 4 and Tier 3 was so high to the point that only the extrely talented, extrely lucky, and highly prepared individuals would be able to defeat a Tier 4 as a Tier 2.
Now, this was the gap between a Tier 3 and a Tier 4, talk less of the gap between a Tier 2 and a Tier 4.
If there was a Tier 2 that could kill a Tier 4, whether the Tier 4 was a below average Tier 4 or not, the top organizations of the Universe would desire that Tier 2 no matter what.
The Dreadkeeper never expected to see a Tier 2 that was capable of killing a Tier 4, and even if he was told that the Tier 2 was extrely talented and was also capable of killing a Tier 4, he would have expected an extrely difficult and intense fight.
However, and to his imnse disbelief, he saw Finley, an above average Tier 4, die without being able to put up a fight.
How was he ant to describe Corey's talent?
Apart from the manner in which Corey killed Finley, there was sothing else that shocked him, and the shock he received from this was greater than the shock he received from Corey killing Finley with ease.
Corey's Genesis Armant.
The sight of Corey's Genesis Armant sent shivers down his spine. He had never seen such a powerful Genesis Armant.
Corey's Genesis Armant was not just comparable to an Indigo grade weapon, no, Corey's Genesis Armant was a top tier Mystic Weapon, and that was because of the ancient runes on it.
While Corey was in Gravenstone City, he had read up on a lot of things, and Genesis Armants and Ancient Runes were one of them.
Corey was no longer ignorant about certain things of the shattered dinsion, and he knew that his Genesis Armant was special and it would invite the greed of so many people.
A Genesis Armant was a weapon that could grow and obtain certain skills after each massive upgrade.
The growth of a Genesis Armant is highly dependent on the tier and type of monsters, abominations, and humans that are slain with the Genesis Armant.
After Corey read about Genesis Armants, he realized how lucky he was when it ca to the developnt of his Genesis Armant.
The first monster Corey killed using his Genesis Armant was the Guardian of a Temple of the Old Ones, and because of this, his Genesis Armant was able advance using the blood and parts of the soul of the Temple Guardian.
After he killed the Temple Guardian, his weapon advanced from a red grade weapon to a green grade weapon, and he got three ancient runes which gave his weapon three skills.
A Genesis Armant could gain different types of runes, and these runes had different colors and grades. There are seven grades of runes, and these grades are determined by the color of the runes.
Seventh grade runes are Orange Runes.
Sixth grade runes are Yellow Runes.
Fifth grade runes are Blue Runes.
Fourth grade runes are Purple Runes.
Third grade runes are Silver Runes.
Second grade runes are White Runes.
And first grade runes which are otherwise called Ancient Runes are Black or Crimson Runes.
The rune that a Genesis Armant obtains is dependent on the grade and type of monster, abomination, and human that is slain and absorbed with the Genesis Armant.
There was no certain way to know what monsters or abominations would give an Ancient Rune, a White Rune, or a Silver Rune.
So monsters might give a Tier 1 or a Novice, fifth-grade Blue Runes. However, that sa monster might give a Tier 2, sixth-grade Yellow Runes.
It was extrely chaotic to the point that the majority felt like the grade of runes were determined by the Old Ones. He had read many speculations that the grade of runes were sotis given on a whim or without care by the Old Ones.
Despite this speculation and hypothesis, there were so cities, certain groups, and so Tainteds that were hell bent on figuring out how the system behind the grades of runes.
Although the grading system of runes was still a mystery to the Tainted, there was a proven fact that the majority of the Tainted knew of.
Killing a Power, Principality, or a Temple Guardian would always give a Genesis Armant an Ancient Rune.
This was the only known and proven fact that every Tainted knew of, but even with this knowledge, it was useless to the majority of the Tainteds.
A Genesis Armant was exceedingly rare, and how many Tainteds could boast of being able to kill a Power, Principality, or a Temple Guardian?
Very few people could boast of such a thing, but outside the gates of Stormhold was a Tier 2 who possessed a Genesis Armant that had four Crimson Ancient Runes and two Black Ancient Runes.
One could imagine the amount of shock that the Dreadkeeper and even Pala felt as they watched Corey slay Finley with ease.
Pala's mouth remained open as she stared at Corey's Genesis Armant in visible surprise and intrigue.
Unlike the Dreadkeeper, she was not surprised by how easy it was for Corey to kill Finley. She had expected such a thing, and if Corey had struggled against Finley, she would either be disappointed or she would think that Corey was faking it.
What surprised her was Corey's Genesis Armant and the skills he used.
'His skills are all unique and not ordinary in the slightest. I was not able to analyze any of his skills at all… His mastery over his skills is also not low.'
Just as Pala had this thought, she was about to speak, but she stopped and furrowed her brows slightly as she stared in Corey's direction.
Standing in front of Corey was the towering figure of the Dreadkeeper.
