436 435: Disbelief, Shock, and Horror

'What?'

'Who is she?'

'Wait… She looks like…'

As multiple thoughts went through Selene's mind, she alternated her gaze from Corey to the female in the distance repeatedly.

anwhile, Corey's mind was filled with imnse disbelief as he stared at a woman who was also staring back at him with visible disbelief on her face.

In fact, the disbelief on her face was greater than his.

'Who is she?'

The reason why Corey was in so much shock and disbelief was due to just one reason.

Her mana.

The woman had more mana than him.

It might seem trivial or it might seem stupid for Corey to be in so much shock just because the unknown woman's mana was more mana than him, but it was not trivial to Corey at all.

Why?

Because the woman was a tier 4.

He could sense it clearly. The woman was not an inhabitant of the dinsion of The Old Ones, she was an Outsider like them. She did not possess the strange energy that the other people around them possessed.

'She's a tier 4 and she has more mana than ? How?'

Corey's expression remained the sa, and despite his ability to think at an extrely fast speed, he still found himself filled with imnse shock and disbelief.

To the majority, sobody who was of a higher tier should have more mana than those of the lower tier, and this was even more so when it ca to a tier 4 Mystic Being and tier 2 Astral Being.

However, this common sense could not be applied to Corey, to a Paragon, or to a Supre. Most Paragons and Supre usually possessed at least a single infinity crystal, and an infinity crystal boosted the quantity and quality of their mana by a drastic amount.

When Corey only had the Poison Infinity Crystal, and he broke through the Universal Limit, the quantity and quality of his mana was so high to the point that he had never encountered another person apart from the Capra King who had as much mana as he did.

An example was Divine who had his secrets and was also extrely powerful for his tier. His mana was not up to the mana he had when he only had the Poison Infinity Crystal.

Even Calista, the Manager of the Underworld Emporium who was a bonafide tier 6 did not have as much mana as he did when he only had the Poison Infinity Crystal.

Now that he had two infinity crystals, the quantity, and quality of his mana was so high that even Nina told him that his mana stat on his status window was not correct.

However… However!

Approximately thirty ters away from him was a woman sitting on a chair with more than him, and the quality of her mana was also extrely high.

'The quality of her mana is extrely high, but it's just a little bit lower than mine. I cannot sense an infinity crystal from her, so she doesn't have one. But how does she now have more mana than I do, and the quality is also extrely high?'

'... Could she be a Paragon?... No!... I don't sense the aura of a Paragon from her.'

'Could she be a Supre? Is she related to the Supres just like how I'm related to the Paragons?'

'But what if she's not?... How then does she have that much mana?'

So many questions ran through Corey's mind as he stared at the woman, and he could not hold in his curiosity anymore.

His deep violet and sky blue eyes beca pure white, and coincidentally, he noticed that the woman's eyes also changed at the sa ti.

Corey's eyes widened slightly, but a fraction of a second later, his face froze and he subconsciously took a step back in disbelief and horror.

His forehead and back beca drenched with sweat, and his mouth remained open.

'Wha- What am I seeing right now?'

Whenever Corey used his Eyes of Omniscience, he could passively see the mana in the surroundings, and the mana that was passively exuded by the people around him. If he decided to push it, he could see the mana flowing in the mana veins of people around him.

Corey perceived mana in a way that goes beyond simple vision. To him, it was as if mana carried a language of its own, it was like a vibrant force in constant motion. Whenever he looked at mana, mana appeared as a shimring, prismatic haze that fluctuated with each individual's aura, pulsing in colors unique to the user's affinity and strength.

In dense clusters, mana flows like liquid starlight, swirling and twisting through the air in fine tendrils or thick currents. It weaves through and around people like unseen rivers, shifting in brightness and density, sotis radiating with warmth, sotis chilling the air with a faint frost. Under his gaze, he could see it within the ground, suffusing the air, and flowing through every rune, artifact, and structure around him.

The more mana one had, the more mana he could see surrounding the person's body.

The mana Divine passively exuded could fill up a three-story building.

The mana Calista passively exuded could fill up at least five three-story buildings.

However, the mana the woman passively exuded engulfed the entire Gravenstone City.

'No.'

Corey's eyes went beyond Gravenstone City, and his expression beca more frozen.

'... It's beyond the Gravenstone City.'

Corey stiffly looked back at the woman, and he noticed that the woman's expression was also frozen as she stared back at him with a unique pair of eyes.

Despite being slightly curious as to why the woman was also shocked, his shock overwheld his curiosity and horror.

There was a reason why he was horrified by what he had seen, and it could sumd up into two words.

Passively Exuded.

The mana he was seeing was the passively exuded mana of the woman.

People like Divine and Calista had thods to restrain the mana they emitted, and if they did perfectly, average beings or even above-average beings would not be able to perceive the mana they emitted through normal ans.

However, Corey's Eyes of Omniscience could still see the mana they passively emitted… and this was the sa for the woman.

'If this is the mana she's passively emitting, just how much mana does she have?'

Just as Corey had this thought, he saw the woman stand and then she approached him. As she walked, she did not take her eyes off Corey, and the people in her way subconsciously or unknowingly made way for her.

So seconds later, the woman stood less than a ter in front of Corey and stared into his pure white eyes for a few seconds, and then she slowly spoke.

"Who are you?"
