"It’s because of the Book of Death."

When Corey said these words, a part of him disagreed with him telling the others about the abilities of the Book of Death, but he shut down this thought and voice in him because well... it didn’t matter to him since he already possessed the Book of Death.

Although he didn’t want to tell them what the Book of Death could do because the more people knew about the Book, the more dangerous it’d be for him and every other person.

The mont word about the abilities of the Book of Death spread, it would cause a lot of panic and anxiety since many would want the Book for themselves and so would want to destroy the book so that no other person could possess it.

Corey knew the possibilities that could happen once he told Divine and the others about the Book of Death.

’But I have to tell them... So that they can know of the danger to their lives since the Clown has three pages of the Book of Death.’

Corey then told Divine, Pala, Rosa, and Jeremy about the Book of Death and about his suspicions that the Clown had used the pages he tore from the book to write down Pala’s na.

And just as Corey expected, the reactions of everybody beca even more grave and severe when they heard that there was a book that could kill anybody once their na was written in it.

"What sort of artifact is that? Such an artifact should not be created at all. How could you kill sobody just by writing down their na?" Rosa was the first person to explain in disbelief and a little bit of fear at the abilities of the Book of Death.

"With such an artifact, one can kill anybody just by knowing their na. That ans one must be careful with their nas? How is that possible?" Jeremy said with a deep frown, and he could not help but wonder if he was even safe in the slightest.

At any mont, he could die and be forced to repeat another cycle even if he did not want to.

And since the Clown knew about his talent, there was no denying that the Clown could kill him from anywhere.

’Wait... What if the Clown uses the pages of the Book of Death to kill ? Would I die and go through another cycle? Or would I die... permanently?’

’Would I finally be able to experience... true rest?’

As these dangerous thoughts went through Jeremy’s mind, Pala suddenly spoke.

"So, the Clown has pieces of an artifact that can kill people just by knowing the nas of people... Doesn’t that an he should be able to kill Divine who he hates, Jeremy who he needs to kill because of his unique ability, and Corey who he likes but wants to kill?"

"Shouldn’t use the pages to kill everyone of us since it’d be much easier to do that?"

"I also had that thought, and let’s say it’s only one na he can write on each page. He has used a paper to write Pala’s na, and now he has two pages left. Can’t he use the two pages to kill Divine and then Corey or ?" Jeremy asked with a slight furrow of his brows, and then Divine shook his head.

"First of all, the Clown cannot use the pages of the Book of Death to kill because he doesn’t know my true na. I’ve never told anybody, and now, I’m glad and relieved I’ve never done that."

Everybody had strange expressions when they heard Divine’s words, and Corey could not help but ask with slight surprise in his tone.

"Your true na?"

Divine nodded. "Yes. I was born with a true na, and not even my parents know of it since I was forbidden and advised not to tell anybody. Once you get a true na, the na you were born with is no longer your most important na. The Clown might know the na I was born with, but he doesn’t know my true na. And nobody should ever know your true na if you guys eventually get one... Also, I have protections from my family that even act against my birth given na."

Everybody had varying expressions, but each of them now realized the importance of nas.

And they also realized how important it was to have a powerful background backing them.

Take for example, Pala had her self-created protections against people that wanted to see her status screen, but Corey and many others could find ways to break through her protections despite her talents.

As for Corey, he already had a feeling after hearing Divine’s words that maybe... Just maybe... his status as a Demi-Paragon would protect him from others wanting to use his na to deal damage to him.

"The Clown cannot use my na to kill because it wouldn’t work, and as for Jeremy... I have a guess from what you’ve told , what I know, and what I can see."

"Jeremy’s inability to truly die most likely makes him to have a strange but powerful affinity with death and maybe ti... I doubt the artifact would truly kill Jeremy or would even work on him. And I believe I’m right because you’re still standing in one piece."

Divine gestured at Jeremy, and Jeremy’s expression beca strange.

"The Clown wants Jeremy to die and I believe that’s obvious after what just happened. But Jeremy is still alive despite this, so it ans the Clown can’t use the pages of the Book of Death to kill him."

"As for Corey. Well... I believe that the Clown wants to personally kill Corey and is fond of Corey for so strange reason. Killing him using the Book of Death would take out the fun for him, and the Clown loves having fun."

"And for Rosa... Well, her na is also protected by my family."

Corey raised a brow when he heard this, but before he could say anything, Pala coughed out a mouthful of blood.

Cough! Cough!

"Pala."

Rosa frowned and quickly placed her hands on Pala’s back. She helped Pala circulate her blood.

A few seconds later, Pala looked at Corey with a tinge of desperation in her eyes.
