Pala could barely believe what she was seeing. She was extrely stunned when she saw Corey’s speed and the power behind his attacks as he attacked both the Pope and the leader of the Freedom Fighters.
"What the hell?"
Just as she muttered these words, her instincts scread at her and her gaze sharpened.
Her Genesis Armant, Destroyer, appeared in her hands as she turned and blocked an attack.
CLANG!
"Hmm? You blocked that."
Pala frowned as she looked at Tessa Liora whose spoke with an emotionless expression.
Her eyes were instantly drawn to Tessa’s eyes which had a dark golden hue to it. Her eyes were not like that of a human, but a reptile, and the more Pala stared into Tessa’s eyes, the more she frowned.
’That aura... A demon?’
Pala’s frown deepened as she recalled the aura of the demons she fought in the Underworld.
Tessa’s aura reminded her of that, and it also reminded her of a being she encountered once in her life.
A being and an encounter she could not never forget.
’A dragon?’
Just as she had this thought, she quickly moved her head to the back slightly, dodging the tip of Tessa’s katana that nearly split her head in two.
"And you dodged that-"
Whoosh!
Pala swung her Destroyer at Tessa, but Tessa calmly bent backward and swung her leg at Pala who was about to continue attacking Tessa with her spear.
Pala blocked the attack with a frown as she felt the imnse power from Tessa’s kick. It would have sent her flying if not for the stance she took.
Tessa perford a series of flips in the air until she landed nearly hundred ters away from Pala. Such a distance might seem far to a mortal, but to Mystic Beings like them, it was nothing.
And to monsters like them, they could be standing right in front of one another and it would an nothing.
As Tessa landed on the ground, a cut slowly appeared on her lower lip, and a drop of blood fell on the ground.
Tessa blinked in surprise, and then she placed a finger on her bleeding lip. Seeing the blood on her finger, she could not help but raise a brow in surprise.
"You’re strong." Tessa said, and then she licked her blood.
"And you’re a... freak and a monster." Pala placed the butt of her spear while looking at Tessa with a deep frown.
Tessa chuckled. "You’re really calling a monster? Haven’t you been called worse in the Underworld?"
Pala gave a smile that wasn’t really a smile. "I’m talking about what you are. Not your abilities. You’re a demon and a dragon? And why do I feel like you’re also sothing else? You’re like a freaking chira or an abomination."
"Were you even born or made by a mad scientist? But no. You couldn’t have been made because you have the aura of a New Earthling. Which ans..."
"You were probably created or transford into that by a mad scientist."
Pala’s eyes flashed with a curious and pondering glint in her eyes, and Tessa gave her a dangerous smile.
"I really feel like killing you. I wonder why."
"Trust . You can’t. Just as you said, people used to call a monster for several reasons."
Pala’s eyes glowed with the mark of a silver Infinity symbol in her eyes, and her hair and entire body transford into lightning.
The ground charred and shattered into pieces, and the trees around her got scarred.
Tessa scoffed, and then she raised her hand. Her eyes emitted a golden glow, and then her hands also emitted the sa golden glow.
Five colossal trees in the surroundings trembled violently, and a second later, they were uprooted and they hovered behind Tessa like titans whose roles were to guard her.
"I’m going to enjoy ripping out your throat."
Pala smirked. "Sa as taking off your head."
Both ladies scoffed, and then Pala vanished.
Thunder bood in the world, and the ground quaked as she moved toward Tessa at an extrely fast pace.
Just as she was about two ters away from reaching Tessa, a massive shadow appeared above her, and Pala’s eyes sharpened.
Without looking up, she spun her Destroyer in her hands, and then she threw it at the colossal tree that was about to crush her.
Her Destroyer moved at lightning speed, and then it pierced into the colossal tree. However, it could not pierce through.
The thickness and durability of the tree was not sothing that many Mystic Beings could go through, and even Pala could not pierce through it without using considerable strength.
But, that was not her intention in the first place.
Arcs of electricity moved across the spear, and then the Destroyer glowed brightly, releasing power bolts of lightning into the colossal tree.
A second later, the colossal tree exploded and combusted into ashes, causing countless arcs of lightning to fly about.
All of this happened in just a single second, and as Pala was about to crash into another colossal tree, her Destroyer suddenly appeared in her hands.
She ca to a sudden stop, and then she perford a lunge at the colossal tree in front of her.
A thick beam of light that was actually countless lightning bolts compressed together was released from the tip of her spear, and it blasted through the colossal tree, revealing two other trees that were hidden behind the first tree.
Pala’s body flashed once again as she dashed through the holes she created, and then she appeared before Tessa whose gaze was utterly calm despite Pala’s actions.
She raised her right hand, and then her hands transford into sothing else. Her fingers beca claws, and dragon scales appeared all over her hand up to her forearm.
"Die."
Pala’s instincts scread at her, and without hesitation, she cancelled her attack and swerved to the side.
Tessa swung down, and claws that were the size of the colossal trees slashed down at the world.
