"Hunter 07146, reporting." A man said in front of the reception table, inside a spacious, and beautifully decorated hall.
"Ok." The elf receptionist took the badge of the hunter, put so mana into it, and noted his details with a machine made from dwarven technology.
The hall was illuminated with bright yellow light. The walls were decorated with objects created from monster skin, bones, nails, teeth, and cores. The deeper section of the hall had the objects crafted from Demon cores. Such as weapons of various grades.
Hunters from various races stood in the lines in front of different tables. There wasn't any crowd like the Adventurers guild, but the number of hunters present was high.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Breaking the queue, a man with a black suit and a big hat walked past the crowd.
"Hey!-" When soone was about to complain about his behavior,
"Don't!" Another person standing beside him grabbed his mouth to shut him up.
*Silence*
A pin-drop silence engulfed the room as the hunters noticed the man who suddenly stopped.
'Shit.' The man cursed in his head, while other experienced hunters did the sa.
"Mnff! Ha... What are you doing!?" The man broke through the grip holding his mouth and looked at the people around with contempt.
"And you! Why did you break the line? Can't you see? Or are you blind?" The man tried to ridicule the black suit guy. He was a new demon hunter, so he was unaware of his mistake.
Soon his proud face broke when he saw the man continue toward the reception and his body shuddered after he heard the guy say,
"Hunter 0812, reporting." The black suit guy said calmly to the receptionist, who now sweated a bucket.
His rank. It was 812th. Which was below 1000. That ans he was close to becoming an elite hunter.
"W-welco to the Samaya branch of the Kingdom Fluger, Sir!" The receptionist, for the first ti, greeted a hunter. She even offered the man a seat and refreshnts.
She completely ignored the line and attended to the man in the black suit.

An hour passed and the man finally moved.
"Hmm." He got up from his seat and went near the person who called him out earlier.
His figure wasn't that intimidating but his aura was. With a height near six feet, and a humanly figure and attire, the man looked normal. But he was anything but normal.
"Rank?" He spoke to the man in line while dusting his suit a little.
"H-hunter 08536, reporting Sir!" The newbie was an inch away from pissing his pants.
Newbie huh?" His voice was that of a man in his forties. Mature and strong.
"Y-yes." With each passing mont, it beca hard for the newbie to breathe. His composure had long broken and he barely kept his consciousness with sheer willpower.
"Then know your place." The man did not even glance at the newbie and walked away.
The line waited for another hour as the receptionist went to escort the man. She had to treat him with utmost respect after all.
As for the newbie, well, he was put in his place by his other rank seniors. If not for him, the man would've left the place without any problem.
This was the ego of higher-level demon hunters. They had egos bigger than planets. And they would stoop so low to fulfill their grudges.

[Outside the Demon Hunter Branch]
"Hello, we are here to escort Sir Hunter Robert Abraham." A tall woman with tanned skin and a toned body asked the black suit guy.
"So you are the "Black Lotus" huh?" The black suit man asked the rcenary group that arrived in front of him.
