As Alkerto spoke in wonder, Beramund smiled.

"That's true, but our magician told

so."

"Ah."

Alkerto nodded and smiled.

"I didn't know magicians did weather forecasting too."

"I heard celestial teorology is basic for them. Besides, the air is getting heavier."

The feeling of moisture-laden air was growing stronger. At those words, Karsus looked at the sky and nodded.

"If anyone's planning to leave, they'd better do it today."

"Let's go inside too."

At Beramund's words, Sigrid nodded. As Karsus politely tried to excuse himself with "I'll be going then," Awen spoke up.

"Don't forget what you said earlier, okay?"

"Yes. I'll spar with you."

"You agreed to spar?"

Sigrid asked with wide eyes. Awen excitedly replied, "Yes!" Sigrid looked at Karsus with an "Uh—" expression. Seeing this, Alkerto asked in confusion,

"Sig, haven't you sparred with him yet?"

"Umm—"

She glanced sideways at Beramund. Beramund made a troubled face, then let out a deep sigh and said, "Go ahead, dear," extending his arm to point at Karsus.

"Huh? ?"

As Karsus pointed to himself in confusion, Sigrid placed her right hand on her chest and politely asked,

"If it's alright, would you spar with ?"

"I refuse."

Karsus refused outright with a bright smile. Sigrid stamred in surprise, then lowered her hand and said,

"I see. I understand."

Beramund raised one eyebrow. Awen looked back and forth between them in confusion, and Alkerto bit his lip slightly, wondering if he had misspoken, before opening his mouth.

"Um, well, shall we go inside then? It's getting colder."

"Ah, yes yes. Let's go in."

Sigrid nodded hurriedly and ushered Awen and Alkerto ahead.

"I'll be along in a bit."

At Beramund's words, Sigrid hesitated before nodding. Karsus bowed politely to the departing group. Once they were out of sight, Beramund asked, "What's that about?"

"What?"

When Karsus asked back, Beramund replied with a strange expression.

"The sparring. You like that, don't you?"

"I might not feel like it sotis."

At Karsus's words, Beramund said, "Well, that's true," and looked at Karsus for a mont.

"Karsus Rian."

"What?"

"I'm really happy right now. I'm happy."

At those words, Karsus frowned and said,

"What, are you bragging now?"

"Yeah."

Beramund answered proudly. Karsus looked unsure of what to say, then just smiled and turned his head towards the mansion.

"Well. That's good then."

"What about you?"

At Beramund's question, Karsus looked back at him. He just showed a faint smile, and Beramund said "I see" with a bitter laugh.

Being with this guy always makes him feel like he's back in his teens.

"It's because of your personality. You should fix that personality of yours."

At Beramund's words, Karsus laughed cheerfully. It was a rare laugh.

"As if this could be changed just by deciding to."

"Well, that's true too. By the way, why did you co?"

"So troubleso business ca up in the south. I thought I'd seek a magician's help."

"If you're calling it troubleso, isn't it serious?"

"Not yet."

"I see."

Though he looked skeptical, Beramund just nodded. If Karsus Rian didn't want to talk about it, he wouldn't. And anyway, if he talked to Arkana, it would eventually reach his ears too.

Karsus slowly opened his mouth.

"I can see why you fell in love with her. But she's a bit uncomfortable for ......"

"Ah, well, that's because you're twisted."

"You always have to say it."

"It's true, isn't it?"

"Well, that may be so."

Karsus raised his bright green eyes, almost golden, and stared intently at Beramund before saying,

"You're really annoying."

"What is it now?"

"You have talent—"

"Between fellow Masters?"

"You have good eyes."

"I won't deny that, but—"

I've suffered so disadvantages because of these odd eyes too, you know? Beramund grumbled inwardly.

Red eyes are the eyes of magical beasts.

That's how they're sotis viewed. Beramund brushed back the bangs covering his red eye and said,

"And what else?"

"You seem to have overco sothing well."

"That's thanks to Siri."

"Ah— I see."

Beramund chuckled and said,

"Anyway, if you're being considerate, you can stop."

"I'm quick to notice things."

"That's the advantage of being the bullied second son."

As he spoke, Beramund waved his hand lightly and turned away. As he left the garden, he saw Sigrid standing in front of the mansion door, and the corners of his mouth lifted involuntarily. Beramund called out to her.

"Siri. Were you waiting?"

"Yes."

Sigrid walked over with light, almost skipping steps.

"Why wait outside in the cold?"

"You were outside in the cold too, Beramund."

Beramund took her hand. Sigrid grasped his hand in return and smiled softly. Beramund said,

"Let's go inside quickly. Your hands are cold."

Beramund pulled her along. Entering his room, Beramund ordered a maid to bring tea. Sigrid hesitated before asking,

"Beramund."

"Yes?"

"When you told

not to spar, was it because you knew I'd be refused?"

"No."

"Then?"

"It's strange for the host to pick a fight with a guest, isn't it?"

"Ah— That's true."

So it was a matter of etiquette, Sigrid nodded. Beramund chuckled lightly and said,

"Whichever side wins—whether the guest beats the host or the host beats the guest—it's a bit awkward."

"But you sparred with him."

"Well, I'm not exactly the hoowner, and we knew each other from before."

"Beramund is the owner of this house too. But I understand."

Sigrid quickly corrected him before nodding. Then she slowly climbed onto Beramund's lap as he sat beside her. Beramund, accustod to this, pulled her onto his legs. Then he lightly kissed her lips.

"You're cold."

He said, then proceeded to plant a series of quick kisses on her lips. Sigrid smiled and returned the kisses. His tongue slipped between her slightly parted lips. The heat of his tongue against her cold skin from being outside felt almost shockingly hot. After lightly licking the inside of her lips, Beramund lifted his head. A maid who had entered silently pretended not to see the couple as she respectfully set down the tea set and left. Seeing her, Sigrid buried her face in Beramund's shoulder.

Her ears burned to the tips. She lightly pinched Beramund's side and whispered,

"You should say when soone's coming."

"I thought you knew."

"Well—"

How could I be aware of anything while kissing you? Too embarrassed to voice this question, Sigrid just gently rubbed her forehead and cheek against his shoulder. Her face felt hot. But that sensation soon passed, replaced by a sweet feeling that filled her body.

Why does physical contact feel so good? Even without doing anything in particular, just being close like this makes her feel elated.

The warm air, the soft crackling of the fireplace, the faint scent of tea.

And the arms she could nestle into without worry, the sound of his heartbeat—

Everything gradually beca hazy.

Beramund looked down at Sigrid, who had suddenly gone quiet, and chuckled.

'She's fallen asleep.'

Beramund subtly adjusted his posture so Sigrid could rest comfortably against his shoulder.

'Well, she has been tired lately.'

And he was partly responsible for that.

'I should reflect on that, reflect.'

But the feel of her skin against his palm was so pleasant, her ragged breathing, her arms and legs desperately clinging to him, her na called out like a sob, her face drenched in pleasure, the moans she tried so hard to suppress—all of it was so lovable that—

He ends up pushing past her limits.

'I really should reflect on this.'

Beramund awkwardly rubbed his chin.

'Once we get through this winter, work will definitely decrease after that.'

The projects he had planned should all be on track by the middle of next year.

'Then maybe we'll take a month-long vacation in the sumr. Go to a villa sowhere......'

While making early sumr vacation plans, Beramund carefully arranged Sigrid's bangs.

'No, would it be the sa even if we went on vacation?'

If it's a vacation, he plans to be with her from morning till night.

As he made plans on his own, Beramund looked down at her. Her neat face was peacefully asleep. Her long silver eyelashes sparkled.

She seed to be in such a deep sleep that she wouldn't wake up for a while.

"Siri?"

There was no response even when he called softly. Beramund whispered quietly in her ear.

"I love you, I love you, I love you, Sigrid."

Really.

He never thought he'd live such a fulfilling, diligent, and happy life.

'Maybe I should let her sleep.'

Thinking this, Beramund closed his eyes.

Blink.

Sigrid opened her eyes.

'Ah— I fell asleep.'

To think I'd fall asleep without realizing it, she reflected. Glancing up slightly, she saw Beramund with his eyes closed.

"Beramund...?"

She called out very, very softly, but there was no response.

'Is he asleep? How long have I been sleeping?'

Looking at the window, she could see the sun slowly setting.

'I slept for quite a while.......'

Sigrid let out a light internal sigh. Then she turned her gaze back to Beramund.

'A neat face.'

Glossy dark blue-black hair and a manly face.

'I understand why he's so popular.'

Broad shoulders, strong arms, a body tightly knit with training. In the past, seeing that body only made her think of the unfairness between n and won, but now different thoughts co first.

Suddenly feeling her face flush with heat, Sigrid tightly closed her eyes. Closing her eyes sohow made her thoughts even clearer, so she opened them again. She could almost hear his husky voice telling her to open her eyes. When she closed her eyes in embarrassnt, as if telling her to confirm who was holding her, who was inside her, Beramund would whisper for her to open her eyes.

'Wow—'

Suddenly feeling restless, Sigrid squird. At this, Beramund opened his eyes.

"Are you awake?"

"Ah, yes yes—"

"Why the formal speech all of a sudden? And why is your face so red? Do you have a fever?"

Beramund lowered his head and pressed his forehead against hers. Did she catch a cold from being outside? Should he have put her properly in bed instead of letting her sleep here?

"No, it's nothing."

Sigrid answered in a tiny voice. He chuckled and said,

"Then were you having naughty thoughts?"

At those words, Sigrid felt like she heard a small pop in her head. Instantly, her face turned as red as a boiled octopus.

"Huh? Really?"

Beramund, who had thrown out the joke, was rather surprised by Sigrid's reaction. He grinned and pressed his lips close to her ear, whispering,

"What were you thinking about? Hmm? Sigrid— Siri—"

His resonant, low voice. The hot body temperature overlapping with his whispering voice. Sigrid twisted her body abruptly.

"Ah, I wasn't thinking anything!"

"It doesn't seem that way? What kind of naughty thoughts?"

His hand slowly caressed her thigh. Seeing her beet-red face made him want to laugh, so he lightly kissed her lips and released Sigrid.

Having just reflected on his behavior monts ago, he should let her rest today.

As he let her go so easily, Sigrid suddenly felt a sense of disappointnt. Sigrid didn't get off his lap but slowly turned to face him completely. She wrapped her arms around his neck and moved her hips to gauge the situation before saying,

"It, it seems like Be-Beramund is the one having nau-naughty thoughts—"

'Siri, you can't even look

in the eye properly—'

"Your face is completely red."

At Beramund's words, Sigrid's face turned even redder. She felt like the room was spinning.

"N-No, it's not red! That, anyway, that— release or sothing, I an—"

If Beramund would tell her to seduce him first, the next part would be a bit easier. Or sowhere like the bathtub where it's okay to take off clothes. Trying to do sothing in a room that's not even a bedroom just doesn't work. Her head was spinning.

"I can't release it."

Beramund said seriously.

"Siri, you ignite my sexual desire, you don't release it. What you can do is more like temporary alleviation, I'd say."
