~BOOM~BOOM!~
The arena constantly reverberated with deep booms as the two titanic forces clashing against each-other, constantly fracturing the space around them.
Damon surged forward, shadows peeling from his back like smoke caught in reverse winds. With each step, space folded obediently, rippling like silk being drawn across stone.
Damon leapt down directly towards the Warden, slinging BloodReaper in scythe for directly towards the Warden, wanting to slice its head off.
The Warden raised his greatsword high, it being cloaked by Abyssal power as he t Damon’s attack head on.
~BANG!~
Their clash exploded into a huge distorted shockwave that left most of the floating pillars trembling and destroyed 2 of them.
Damon pivoted mid-air, twisting through an arc and releasing a conical blast of compressed space that detonated upon contact.
The Warden, unbothered, anchored himself by plunging his blade into the ground and letting the blast slide over him, redirecting the force into the floor like an inverted sinkhole.
"You fight well for soone who fears what he truly is," the Warden rumbled, rising again, "But all that technique won’t save you."
"I don’t need saving." Damon muttered, and flicked his wrist, space and shadow wared as a sharp, whistling shadow cleave spiraled towards the Warden venomously, ripping the space in its path to shreds.
The Warden swung his sword horizontally, unleashing a ripple that cut the technique apart and sent waves of force crashing back toward Damon.
Milliseconds before the impact, Damon vanished, reappearing directly behind the Warden and launching his palm forward, "Graviton Fang!"
A wolf-shaped burst of compressed space, rimd with howling winds and lined with burning black fla, erupted from his hand and slamd into the Warden’s back.
The knight staggered forward, the impact grinding his armor with a shriek of tal under stress.
Still, the Warden didn’t fall.
Instead, he chuckled.
"You’ve tasted power, Damon. But you still fight like a man chained by purpose. Purpose is a brittle shield."
Damon narrowed his eyes, "Purpose is why I don’t fall into monsters like you."
"Purpose is a leash. Only the Abyss is true freedom!"
The knight spun and swung his sword, but not toward Damon, toward the space Damon was about to dodge into.
The blade passed through empty air, but space ruptured where Damon had intended to teleport. His eyes widened as he was forced to fold reality a second ti mid-transition, slipping to another dinsion entirely for a breath before re-erging.
"That was new," Damon muttered, panting slightly.
The Warden advanced. "You forget. I am the Abyss. I know how the void dances."
He clapped his armored hand together. Chains of silver-and-shadow erupted around Damon like a blooming flower, each link forged with folded dinsions and honed gravity.
Damon growled and slamd his foot into the stone, "Burial Bloom!"
The ground split and erupted with a spiral of jagged earth-spears, each carved with glowing runes.
Wind flooded the area next, catching the spikes and hurling them forward like divine javelins. They struck the incoming chains and detonated, blasting shrapnel and vacuum pockets outward.
The Warden sliced through the barrage with deliberate ease, turning toward Damon as if dismissing a child’s tantrum.
"Is that all?" the Warden sneered.
Damon responded by raising both hands, fingers curling into a precise sigil.
"No. Try this, Absolute Severance."
He clapped, and the world groaned.
A thin line of black light traced itself through the battlefield. a vertical stroke through the air, clean and silent.
Space ruptured like torn fabric, and even the laws of mana flinched. The line expanded suddenly in a blink, attempting to cleave the Warden in two.
The knight crossed his arms and let the slash strike him.
There was silence.
And then the Warden was hurled backward, smashing through three floating pillars, cracking the do wall behind him.
Smoke hissed from the fractures in his armor, Abyssal ichor leaking like molten ink.
But he laughed.
A deep, low sound that echoed too long to be natural.
"Good," he bood, "You hurt ."
He stepped out of the dust cloud, dragging his sword behind him. "Now I can stop holding back."
The Warden raised his blade and called upon the void.
In the sky above, a vortex swirled open. Reality folded, and an enormous Abyssal hand, vague and semi-transparent, forged of agony and gravity, descended toward Damon.
Damon clenched his fists, gathering mana, aether, and shadow alike.
"I’ve already walked through your nightmares. You think this scares ?"
He raised his hands to the sky and shouted.
"Starcore Descent!"
The air above him pulsed.
A glowing sphere of compressed earth, molten lightning, and concentrated starlight spiraled down from an artificial gate in space Damon had carved. The mont the Warden’s phantom hand reached Damon, the Starcore smashed into it.
A blinding explosion shattered the do sky into warped light and swirling fragnts. Chunks of pure mana crystal rained like glass, and the earth trembled beneath the strain of clashing absolutes.
Damon used the mont of chaos to lunge forward, charging the Warden. His gauntlet morphed, black runes shimred as it beca a blade of shadow-wrapped space, honed to a single atom’s edge.
Their weapons collided in a flurry, strike after strike, each one detonating with the force of collapsing stars, neither holding back, and both of them evenly matched.
Damon spun low, trailing a whip of chainlightning, and then followed up with a roundhouse kick laced with compressed wind.
The Warden parried, retaliating with a rising sweep that opened a scar in the air, catching Damon’s coat and slicing it clean off.
"You’re fast," the Warden said, "but your power is wasted."
Damon grinned, "You talk too much."
He twisted behind the Warden and unleashed "Shadow Dispersal." His body split into twenty silhouettes, each folding and unfurling like a flowing tapestry.
The Warden’s eye flared, "Tricks."
He slamd his greatsword into the ground and roared.
"Abyssal Mandate: Truth Above All!"
A ring of nullification exploded from his body, erasing every illusion and clone, and even unraveling part of Damon’s shadow aura.
Damon reford, coughing up blood, now thirty ters away.
"Still think you’re above ?" the Warden asked.
Damon spat to the side and stood again, "No. I think I finally have to try."
He raised his left hand.
The world dimd.
Above them, a second sky unfolded, one of swirling galaxies, star-choked darkness, and ancient ruins suspended in ti. A world within space.
"My domain," Damon said. "The Aetherial Shroud."
Within this pocket realm, Damon’s control expanded tenfold. He moved faster, breathed cleaner, and channeled elental constructs directly from the world’s bones.
"I forged this realm from fragnts of extinct dinsions. You won’t win here."
The Warden grinned.
"Then perhaps it’s ti I showed you the Abyss... has realms of its own."
He extended a hand, and the Eye within his helm blazed with corruption.
The darkness warped.
And from the far end of the battlefield, a fissure opened.
Not a portal. A tear.
A gateway into an Abyssal Domain where screams were songs and ti had no shape. Tendrils of thought and malice seeped through, grasping for Damon’s soul.
The Warden strode toward him, slow and deliberate.
"Aether against Abyss, Damon. Creation against undoing. This is the true asure of your worth."
Damon raised both hands, mana swirling around him.
"I accept."
The two realms began to collide, their boundaries clashing in a storm of magic, intent, and sheer will.
And between them stood Damon and the Warden, locked in the eye of the storm.
Their weapons rose and the battle continued.
***
The two domains continued clashing, buffing their wielders all throughout the battle. The air was humming with power as each strike fractured the fragile boarder of creation & oblivion.
Damon’s blade of shadow-wrapped space shimred atop the swirling surface of his domain. The Warden’s massive sword glead with abyssal corruption. Sparks exploded as they t again, carving cracks in the field beneath their feet.
The Warden struck first, descending with a blow that cleaved a crescent of blackness through the starlit sky. Damon sidestepped, using Space Shunt, he phased behind the Warden with a flash, delivering a kick that compressed gravity, launching him back.
But the Warden bent the floor to his will and reversed gravity, flinging Damon upward into the air. From above, he descended with a lash of his sword.
Damon twisted in mid-fall, weaving a web of shadow tendrils with Darknet Weave, which bound the Warden’s sword arm mid‑air.
The Warden roared, yanking free his arm and plumting toward Damon with terrifying speed.
Damon countered with Void Reversal, collapsing the space beneath his opponent into a pocket that slowed his descent, yet the Warden shattered it with a brutal swing, the impact sending Damon reeling into the cracks of the realm.
Around them, domain and counter‑domain fought: pillars of starstone and black bone, fields of golden silence battling oceans of echoing void.
Screams from the Abyssal Domain pierced Damon’s flesh, but his Oblivion Halo shimred to life, bending those attacks aside.
Drawing on his elental mastery, Damon conjured a tornado of elental paradox: flaming winds, molten earth, swirling water, shifting gravity.
With Elental Parallax Storm, he enveloped the Warden, montarily locking him in a vortex.
But the Warden retaliated: parsing the storm with a slash that fractured the elents, converting them into shrieking shards of abyssal light. The shards exploded outward, shattering half of Damon’s elental storm and scorching the ground.
"You pretend mastery over elents," the Warden hissed, stepping through the carnage, "But you cannot master oblivion the Abyss, the nothingness between existence."
Damon’s shadowed eyes flared. He summoned Abyss Step, phasing through collapsing space beneath the Warden and erging behind him.
With Spatial Chainlash, he ripped chains of compressed gravity across the knight’s back, yanking him off balance.
Seizing the mont, Damon lunged forward with Gravity Spear, his blade infused with force so intense it struck like a small teor.
The Warden staggered, armor cracking, a shockwave blasting through the Abyssal Domain, tearing one of its scream‑tendril pillars apart.
Blood splattered, but the Warden grinned.
"Well done," he spat, "You cut flesh, you wound ego, but I remain."
He roared, lifting his sword in challenge, "Watch truly."
He slamd the blade into the fractured center of the battlefield.
The ground burst in concentric rings of abyssal scream, and from each ring rose a host of shrieking phantasms, echoes of lives consud by the Abyss. They sward toward Damon.
He narrowed his gaze. Summoning all his will, he whispered:
"Eclipse Labyrinth!"
The world twisted around him. Shadow and space fused into a shifting maze, a field of illusion and distortion. The phantasms attacked blindly, crashing into invisible walls and echoing themselves into nothingness.
But the Warden waded through them undeterred, each phantasm dissolving at his touch.
He reached Damon’s side and swung. Their blades clashed, Damon’s space-shadow edge against the Warden’s abyssal greatsword.
Damon blocked. Then, drawing deep on his studied power, he spoke low:
"World-Ends’ Prayer - Judgnt Supernova."
He unleashed a torrent: five spectral scythes shaped from every elent and runic truth he had mastered.
One of burning fla, one of crushing earth, one of searing wind, one of fluid water, one of void shadow. They converged into the Warden in a spiral of cosmic reckoning.
The knight braced—but then staggered. Each scythe tore through his armor and reality around him, shocking bleed of force.
As the final blade struck, reality flickered. his form warped, syllables of the Abyss broke apart, and the Warden fell to one knee in the wreckage of their combined realms.
The Abyssal Domain wavered, and Damon took full advantage, raising both of his palms for the final attack.
"Final Verdict - Aetherial Annihilation."
The Codex of Judgnt flared. From it erupted golden script that spun outward in rings, purging every remaining echo of Abyssal will.
A final burst collapsed the overlapping realities and wiped the battlefield clear.
When the dust settled, the Warden lay kneeling. Blood‑sar and broken armor, but alive. The Eye in his helm flickered, but it no longer glowed with malice. Only exhaustion.
Damon lowered his blade.
"...Enough," he breathed. "It ends."
The Warden bowed his head. His voice was soft. "So it is... done."
"Strike... if you must," whispered the Warden. His broken armor shifted as he looked up, "I am but a servant of the Abyss... and it endures without ."
Damon just channel his remaining power, forming a black of pure judgent shaped by his will.
The Warden rose, blade ready, "Know this, Damon—" he rasped, body trembling with effort, "The Abyss is bigger, older, more... than you can ever imagine."
Damon nodded, expression steeled, "Then let this be the first step toward final understanding, and final end."
They clashed one last ti. A brief explosion of light and void, then nothing.
When the echo faded, Damon stood alone. The Warden’s armor lay in shards, transford to dust. In the hollows of his helm, the Eye’s light winked out. Silence reclaid the arena.
Ahead, a portal shimred, its edges fraying with possibility. Damon stepped forward. Behind him, the arena’s void lay empty, the Warden’s final words still echoing:
"The Abyss is bigger than any one death..."
