"Kian, go and sell all the loot we got from the trip." Luan said, grinning.

Kian bowed politely and left the room; he was also looking forward to how much they would earn; they had looted quite a bit on the way.

Leaving the inn, he saw Thomas standing outside, looking around nervously.

"Is there a problem, sir? Thomas?" he inquired, stopping next to him.

"Ah, Kian, well, yes. What should I do now? The young master didn’t tell anything, so should I return to the skevela territory or stay here for a while longer?"

Kian ran his fingers through his beard, considering his answer carefully.

"Just go ask the lord yourself; he might seem unreasonable and tyrannical, but when you get to know him, you’ll see his true colors." With that, Kian went toward the carriage.

He looked up at the top floor and sighed. "My lord, you should try to restrain yourself," he mused, taking a seat on the carriage and grabbing the reins.

With a smooth start and a wave toward Thomas, Kian set off to complete the task Luan had given him.

Thomas stood there staring at the back of the carriage, his mouth wide open. "Ask him, you say?!" he mumbled, slowly turning toward the inn’s entrance.

With a large gulp, he made his way toward the inn. "Easier said than done. You are his personal butler; I’m just soone he needed for his purpose. And I saw how he treated the people that annoyed him," he muttered to himself.

But he still made his way up the stairs of the inn and arrived in front of the doors of the room where Luan would be staying.

Carefully he softly knocked a couple of tis, patiently waiting for the young master to let him in.

When Luan heard the knock on the door, he rolled his eyes and signaled for Luciano to open it.

Thomas, who was fiddling with the ends of his sleeves, saw the doors opening and carefully entered.

With an exaggerated bow he asked. "Young master! What should I do now?" Staying at a ninety-degree angle, he awaited Luan’s answer.

Luan stared at the bowing Thomas for a while, trying not to burst out laughing. "Thomas, why are you acting like this?" he asked, averting his gaze.

Luciano, who had closed the door, also averted his gaze to make sure he wouldn’t burst out laughing.

All the other servants who were still cleaning up and doing other chores also focused on their jobs.

Thomas, hearing Luan’s tone, slowly stood up, straightening his shirt. Looking around, he saw everyone dodging his gaze.

"Um, well, I assud you’re very strict after seeing how you treated those people that didn’t sign. So I’m making sure I don’t get on your bad side, young master." He explained, a look of confusion crossing his face.

Luan couldn’t hold it in any longer; he chuckled. "Ah, I might have overdone it a little bit, huh?" he stated, then pointing at the servants.

"What do you think, Thomas? Do they look afraid of ?"

Thomas looked around once more and felt the relaxed atmosphere, making him even more confused. "Was that all an act then during the eting?" he blurted out.

"Ah, no, definitely not. But even if I do say so myself, I’m a pretty chill guy, so relax," Luan said with a smile, trying to ease the tension.

Thomas nodded, still confused, but he felt like the young master saying that about himself was weird.

Looking around, he saw Luciano and the others all rolling their eyes. Like they’re already used to the young master’s shenanigans.

"So what brings you here?" Luan asked.

"Ah, I almost forgot." Thomas blurted out,.

Straightening his posture, he stiffly looked at Luan. "What should I do now, young master? Return, or do you still need my services?"

"Definitely stay; I’m going to buy slaves for multiple purposes and need contracts for them. You can just stay until I return ho and then co with ." He said, pointing at a room with his na written on the door.

"See, that’s your room." He said.

’No way am I going to let you leave that fast. Now that you’re here, I’m going to work you to the bone.’ an evil grin on his face.

When Thomas saw that grin, he felt shivers run down his spine, and with a quick bow, he excused himself and entered his room.

Closing the door behind him, he took a seat on his bed. And only then did he heave a sigh of relief.

"At least I’ve seen multiple sides of the young master. So as long as I don’t get on his nerves, it should be fine?" He muttered under his breath.

Kian had been going around from shop to shop selling everything he could sell and inquiring where the good shops were.

After a whole day he had sold most of the loot they had collected. Even though he had to deal with so unsavory figures trying to rob the carriage.

He, of course, had quickly disposed of them, even selling everything they had on them and leaving their naked corpses behind in so back alleys.

"Poor bastards, trying to rob , but they have barely any possessions. Ah, that’s probably why they were robbing in the first place," he muttered while riding the carriage toward a weapon shop, the last stop of the day.

The bandits had lots of weapons, so he had been going around the whole day looking for a good weapon shop to sell all the weapons at once. He thought that that way he could probably maximize the profit.

So after inquiring with so other shops, they had all said to go to Giuseppe’s weapon shop.

Stopping the carriage in front of the shop, he grabbed the chest and entered Giuseppe’s weapon shop.

And inside he saw a rather large room filled to the brim with all kinds of weapons: swords, axes, spears, and many more.

And they all looked high quality. Even the duke’s knights would benefit from weapons of this quality. Taking a good look around, Kian decided to rember this shop; when Luan wanted to mass purchase weapons, he would recomnd it.
