"Tired."

He spoke as he swiftly traded through the shadows in the blind alley.

The moonlight reflected his dull black eyes, barely looking at what was in front of him, montarily it showed his cloaked appearance. Covered in black from top to bottom, his appearance was akin to those who tread the night and live through it.

The Assassins.

And just like all assassins, he too, was on a mission, to assassinate a target. It wasn't his first mission, and probably won't be the last one either. For his work was life, and his life amounted to nothing more than what he did.

"What's with these stupid alleys?"

He murmured again, in a slightly annoyed tone, as he kept turning rights, and then he kept turning left. A path that seed to be going nowhere, a path was seemingly without a destination.

And the steps, that didn't echo, slowed a bit. A presence was felt, and the muscles tensed. Soone was beyond the next right turn.

'A man... two of them,' the Assassin assessed as he felt their presence. But sothing felt amiss. They were certainly there, at least one of them, but as for the other, sothing was odd about him. Sothing cold... sothing... Sinister.

"Co on now. This is no place for cosplay, is it?" A strangely velvety voice of a man, one that was young and confident, resounded through the alleyway.

"Cocky as always, huh? You bastard," and another that was evil. A coarse deep voice, that seed to be coming from the very depths of hell itself.

The Assassin looked through the corner, using his small knife, making out the appearance of the duo, a man in white and another in red.

"You seem to know . Are you a fan or sothing?" The young voice continued, the sa confident sound as before, and the assassin kept listening to their conversation.

'To kill a man dressed as a devil,' he recalled the details of the mission he was given. And as he was pondering about his next move, he felt a presence, a certain dreadful feeling, as if death were approaching.

-Whoosh!

-BOOOM!!!

Barely dodging the fist that broke the concrete, the assassin jumped away from there, appearing into the view of the duo. His eyes analyzed a dozen things at once.

The fist that broke the concrete, the one that aid for his life, it wasn't there. There was no man, no being, nothing. Just broken concrete.

"You can dodge it, huh?" And the evil voice spoke, making him look at the man... no, the devil. One look was enough to tell that it wasn't a human, but a devil in red.

"It doesn't matter much though," and the devil holding the body of the man wearing a long white jacket, crushed his skull with his bare hands, before reaching close to the Assassin in an instant.

"Wha-"

And before he could react...

Everything in front of him blacked out.

A fated end, for a guy who used to deal with death on a day to day basis. But, other than the presence of the devil themselves, possibly perhaps, nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing unexpected. The devil was a shocker but then again... nobody would know. Nobody would find out.

So the question was... what's next?

And then... that's where the "twist" lies...

-Kchak!

A sound of a knife penetrating deep into the body.

"!!!"

An inexplicable amount of pain that was far worse than the emptiness of the death itself.
