Ye Fan paid no mind to their words. His joints cracked, and his whole body shimred with a precious glow, restoring his Yuan Qi. After the fierce battle with the Little Golden-winged Roc King, he was also quite exhausted.
Before long, his eyes began to shine brightly. His body beca spotless, and divine energy surged within him as he made a complete recovery.
"The Little Golden-winged Roc King is already exhausted, yet he..." Many people were astonished and deeply shocked.
Ye Fan walked to one side, where Tu Fei and the big black dog were muttering about sothing.
"The Great Wilderness Halberd! It’s a demonic weapon refined by a titan of the demon clan, a rare treasure in this world. Even while sealed, it possesses such power. Go pick it up!" urged the big black dog.
"Why don’t you go get it?" Tu Fei shot it a sideways glance.
The Great Wilderness Halberd was the weapon of the Celestial Roc Clan’s King, passed down to the Little Golden-winged Roc King. It had fallen to the bottom of the cliff, and no one dared to harbor any designs on it.
Only the big black dog had a mischievous notion, inciting Tu Fei to secretly steal it.
"This emperor possesses a copy of the Empty Void Scripture. If you go and fetch it stealthily, I shall teach you the supre secret technique..." the big black dog said solemnly.
"Damn it, you wretched dog, you’re too sinister! Even if you want to harm , you can’t be this blatant about it!" Tu Fei was furious.
"How could this emperor deceive you? I’ll give you a little sothing upfront. I’ll recite a passage from the Empty Void Scripture for you. Listen carefully." The big black dog adopted a solemn expression as it recited the passage from the Empty Void Scripture that Ye Fan knew.
"Don’t listen to its nonsense. This damned dog is the most unscrupulous creature, always trying to get sothing for nothing!" Ye Fan walked over.
"Kid, I haven’t settled the score with you yet! How dare you say ’shut the gates and release the dog’..." The big black dog bared its teeth.
"Behave yourself and don’t cause trouble," Ye Fan secretly transmitted. "Don’t forget why we’re here!"
BOOM!
Suddenly, not far away, demonic aura surged skyward, and a dazzling golden light erupted. The Little Golden-winged Roc King had awakened! With a long cry, he transford into his True Body of the Golden Celestial Roc, tens of ters long, and soared into the high heavens.
"Brother Roc, don’t be rash! Your body is injured and needs rest," Qingyi transmitted, fearing his rage might lead him to do sothing extre.
"That crazy birdman! How is his body so formidable? He broke so many bones yet can still fly!" Tu Fei exclaid in shock, gazing up at the sky.
At this mont, the seal on the Little Golden-winged Roc King had been undone. As a cultivator of the Four Extres secret boundary, the aura he emanated was terrifying.
He was indeed gravely injured; his body swayed, and he nearly plumted from the sky. With a flash of a roc’s silhouette, he transford back into human form, his face grim as he scanned the area below.
"Little Roc King, how are you feeling? You should quickly find a place to rest and recuperate," a demon clan cultivator advised.
The Little Golden-winged Roc King had a robust physique. Strands of his golden hair stirred as if in a breeze, and his eyes, incredibly sharp, stared coldly at Ye Fan.
Then, with a wave of his hand, the Great Wilderness Halberd, which had fallen to the bottom of the cliff, transford into a streak of black light and soared upwards, returning to his grasp.
Many hearts tensed. Qingyi spoke, "Little Golden-winged Roc King, what are you planning to do?"
The Little Golden-winged Roc King said nothing. He glanced at Ye Fan, then transford into a streak of golden light, shooting towards the horizon and vanishing in the blink of an eye.
Shortly after, a lesser demon ca to report that the Little Golden-winged Roc King had departed, leaving this particular space.
The great battle finally concluded. The demon clan cultivators gradually dispersed, and Ye Fan and Tu Fei returned to Qingyi’s residence.
"Although you’ve defeated the Little Golden-winged Roc King, it’s not advisable for you to stay here long. There are definitely many who covet your cauldron," Tu Fei said softly.
Ye Fan understood perfectly. After this incident with the Little Golden-winged Roc King, others might not dare to act openly for the ti being, but staying here for an extended period would undoubtedly beco dangerous.
"I know." He nodded. I must resolve Pang Bo’s situation as quickly as possible.
Soon after, Yan Ruyu arrived at Qingyi’s residence. She also subtly hinted that it was not advisable for Ye Fan to remain there long.
"Princess Yan, I believe you must have guessed why I am here," Ye Fan said with utmost earnestness. "I have only one request: I wish to see Pang Bo. We’ve been separated for several years, and I still haven’t had a chance to see him."
"I’m afraid that won’t be possible. He won’t erge from his seclusion for another three months, and he cannot be disturbed at present." Yan Ruyu shook her head.
Ye Fan was instantly alard. Ti is too pressing! Three months from now, the real Pang Bo might no longer be in this world.
"Are you referring to... the one in the Immortal Hall?" Qingyi’s expression turned peculiar.
Yan Ruyu nodded, not saying more.
"The Immortal Hall? Is that the ancient palace obtained by the Green Flood Dragon King?" Tu Fei asked in surprise.
Those present seed reluctant to discuss the topic further. They rely nodded without offering any detailed explanations.
"Little brother Ye, if you wish to stay longer, you may co to my residence," Yan Ruyu offered, gracefully tucking her long hair behind her ear. Her cheeks were delicate and flawless.
Ye Fan understood. This was a gesture of goodwill. She was likely afraid he might be sched against and have his Origin Qi foundation stolen, hence the invitation to her place.
"We couldn’t ask for more! Thank you for your kindness, fairy Yan," Tu Fei chid in, accepting on Ye Fan’s behalf.
"Then I’ll be troubling you, Princess Yan." Ye Fan could only nod.
The big black dog remained uncharacteristically quiet, yet a glint flashed in its eyes. It had co for the ancient scriptures, and entering the residence of a descendant of the demon race’s Great Emperor suited its intentions perfectly.
The pocket dinsions created by the Ancient Saints of old varied greatly. So were desolate and suffused with an aura of death, while others teed with vibrant life. Their sizes ranged from a re few dozen ters across to vast expanses several hundred li wide.
This pocket dinsion discovered by the Green Flood Dragon King was more than two hundred li across—truly vast. Naturally, many from the demon clan gathered here after he took control.
In truth, once mbers of the demon clan transford into human form, there wasn’t much difference between them and humans; even their lifestyles began to converge.
Within this pocket dinsion was a Demon City. Though not vast in scale, it was quite prosperous. Most transactions, such as the sale of spiritual dicines and precious Source, or the exchange of Refining Materials, took place here.
Yan Ruyu’s residence was scenically stunning, nestled amidst elegant mountain ranges about a dozen or so li from the Demon City. A silver waterfall cascaded like white silk, surrounded by lush, verdant flora, creating an exceptionally beautiful vista.
Each mountain peak hosted palatial halls, with many unoccupied buildings. Arranging accommodations for them was no issue, and dedicated lesser demons were assigned to serve them.
Ye Fan chose a tranquil spot on a mountain peak. Pine forests adorned it like a painting, with halls and residences nestled among them. A clear spring gurgled nearby, winding its way around before cascading down the mountainside.
"What kind of place is the Immortal Hall?" Ye Fan asked Tu Fei when they were alone.
"It’s an ancient palace bequeathed by the Ancient Saints and later acquired by the Green Flood Dragon King. Cultivating inside can slow the depletion of one’s lifespan; it has the miraculous effect of staving off aging."
"It’s that miraculous?" Ye Fan was surprised. At the sa ti, a chill went down his spine. Wouldn’t such a property provide the very hope of survival for the other existence within Pang Bo?
"The Immortal Hall is indeed very mysterious. The Green Flood Dragon King has been continuously studying it, trying to comprehend the complex Dao Glyphs inscribed upon it and unlock the secrets of its age-defying properties."
"This is a priceless treasure!" The big black dog’s eyes lit up. "If we can replicate the Dao Glyphs from inside, they’ll be incredibly useful in the future!"
"Get lost and cool your heels sowhere!" Tu Fei, still holding a grudge about being bitten by the dog, retorted.
"Damn it, brat! Show so respect. There will co a day when you’ll be begging for my help," the big black dog said, its face dark.
Ye Fan quickly interrupted them, otherwise a full-blown fight between man and dog was sure to erupt.
"Where is the Immortal Hall? Can you take to see it?"
Tu Fei jumped in fright. "Hey, little kid Ye, what exactly are you planning? Don’t get any funny ideas! That’s the Green Flood Dragon King’s treasure. ssing with it will lead to huge trouble!"
"Don’t worry, I won’t act recklessly," Ye Fan said with a smile.
Tu Fei, truly living up to his nickna "Bigmouth," couldn’t keep his mouth shut. He blurted out information about the Immortal Hall, pointing to the distant sky, "See those clouds? The Immortal Hall floats above that cloud layer."
"An ancient palace that never falls..." Ye Fan was startled. An ancient palace that never falls...
"It doesn’t sink, it’s extrely mysterious. It’s a palatial structure left behind by the Ancient Saints." Tu Bigmouth couldn’t hold back the words.
After getting a detailed understanding, Ye Fan stroked his chin and said no more. Hmm...
"Hey, little kid Ye, I’m warning you, don’t do anything reckless!" Tu Fei cautioned.
This realm, though a space created by the Ancient Saints, still had a cycle of day and night. After a large Fire Pearl, artificially refined by soone, descended, night fell.
「In the dead of night.」
Ye Fan and the big black dog silently t up. They then ascended high into the sky to observe the ancient palace nestled among the clouds from a distance.
It was an exceedingly ancient palace, already sowhat dilapidated. Peculiarly, several teorites were quietly suspended around it.
"See anything?" Ye Fan asked in a low voice.
"This isn’t good. I don’t know what’s inside the ancient palace, but the exterior has eighteen layers of Restrictions, all densely packed with Dao Glyphs."
Ye Fan frowned imdiately. This was definitely not good news.
The big black dog continued, "Look at those clouds. The floating teorites are all very strange; they’re engraved with incredibly powerful Dao Glyphs. Only a sovereign could possibly break them."
"So, we can’t get in?"
"Who do you think this emperor is? There’s no Dao Glyph I can’t break!" the big black dog declared arrogantly.
"You’re just boasting. Who was it again that was trapped in the Yunduan Mountain Range for eighteen years and nearly beca part of the black soil?"
Hearing this, the big black dog imdiately looked disgruntled and said, "Don’t bring up such ancient, irrelevant matters."
"Can you really break these eighteen layers of Restrictions?" Ye Fan was skeptical. After the incident at the Yaochi Ancient Land, he felt the big black dog was sowhat unreliable.
"I’ve seen all these Restrictions; I know how to dismantle them. The only trouble is, I need so materials."
"What materials do you need? What’s your plan?" Ye Fan asked.
"I need so precious materials to inscribe certain Dao Glyphs that can dismantle the Restrictions here," the big black dog said, listing a long string of nas.
"That will be difficult. Where are we supposed to find them on such short notice?"
"If there are no materials, then enough Source will also do."
"How much Source is needed?"
"At least several ’fang’," the big black dog said nonchalantly.
"One ’fang’ is three thousand three hundred jin! Several ’fang’ of Source... You make it sound so easy!"
"Don’t you have two ’fang’ on you? Use them sparingly, and it should be almost enough."
"Damn dog! After all this, you’re scheming for the Source I have?!"
In such a heavily guarded place, they dared not act rashly. Without absolute certainty, they would not attempt to enter the Immortal Hall.
「Late that night.」
When Ye Fan returned to his room, all was quiet. He sensed soone else was inside.
"Who is it?"
A laugh like silver bells chid, accompanied by a fragrant scent. It was a woman. As the candlelight flickered, a familiar figure gracefully approached.
She wore a long dress that trailed on the ground. Her slender, jade-like legs were faintly visible. She had a delicate, willowy waist, and her two jade-like arms were partially bare, their skin fair and translucent. Her long hair cascaded over her shoulders, framing a captivatingly beautiful face.
She was utterly enchanting. Her figure, with its alluring curves, could be described as demonic, yet her face was angelic. A small, crimson mole adorned the space between her eyebrows, from which pulsed a faint Divine Radiance.
"It’s you..." Ye Fan recognized her at once: the fairy, Qin Yao.
Qin Yao chuckled softly, her eyes crinkling with alluring charm. "It’s so late. You weren’t in your room. Where did you go?"
"Just taking a walk in the pine forest."
"Lies. Little fellow, you’ve co here harboring ill intentions, haven’t you?"
Ye Fan laughed heartily. "I’m here to fulfill a promise. I ca for ’a great slaughter’!"
"What would a little brat like you understand?" Qin Yao, truly living up to her reputation as a fairy, gave him a sidelong, coquettish glance, her every movent exuding an irresistible charm.
