I really appreciated everyone being so excited to see , but hands were coming from everywhere and I could hardly make heads or tails of who was who. Finally, everyone pulled away from , and then Kyra and Kyla ca rushing over to , grabbing in a hug.
"I am sorry for yelling at you guys."
"We know you didn't an it, but are you okay now? You looked like you were going to explode or sothing!" Kyra said as I picked up Kyla and kissed her cheek, making her giggle.
"Are you okay, daddy?" Kyla asked as well.
"Yes, daddy is okay now! I had to absorb the stone's energy and now it is inside and part of ."
Xelios, Violet, and Tamika all ca up to as a group, and they were all smiling at . That never ant anything good; the group of them had decided sothing and whatever it is, I am the target for it!
"So, since you are a walking lightning rod or sothing like that, we would like to run so tests on your new powers. Rena and the others told us about what happened on the mountain, but we want to know your limits so we can help you understand your powers more. From what Rena told us, you have been using the power wrong this entire ti, so we want to help!" Xelios said with excitent, but I tensed.
I had completely forgotten about Rena and the fact that I needed to talk to the won about my feelings towards her. I felt Krya slip her hand into mine and I turned to her.
She was giving a knowing smile, and then it hit . Maybe it hadn't been planned but they knew, of course, they did, but for how long? I wasn't about to get upset about them not telling , but I really didn't like to be left in the dark.
"Rena asked us not to talk about it to you, but she already told us all before we left Drak at the Tri-Islands. We all agree that you should be able to pick a wife or two yourself, but," Kyra gave a long pause and looked in the eyes. "You need to take care of the ones you have before you start marrying anymore!"
"You know this isn't my fault right? I am just trying to do my damn job! I don't want to save the damn world! I just want to spend ti with every one of you!"
I was starting to feel frustrated now. Even though they had said that it was my choice it just made feel worse. It was like they were saying, if you're not happy, then sure, go take another wife. I tried to keep my calm, but it was starting to slip, and I turned with Kyla and walked away from the group.
"Sure, you can run so tests, but if it's okay with everyone, I would like to go spend so alone ti with Kyla," I said, pulling my hand from Kyra's.
Everyone looked like they wanted to say sothing to , but they all remained silent, letting walk up the stairs.
"Are you okay, Daddy?" Kyla asked as we walked up the stairs.
"Yes, Muffin. Daddy just needs so air and so alone ti with his little girl!" I said putting on a big smile, even if I wasn't feeling it.
We walked up to the top deck, and I saw the Dragon Armor, which was still covered with a tarp that was strapped down. I was tempted to try and use so power to animate it but tossed the idea. I just wanted to spend so ti with my little girl and push the world away for a bit. I would go see the girls after and...sothing.
"We are going to hop down to the sand, okay muffin?" I asked Kyla, but she looked worried.
"But you will get hurt again, daddy, and then I won't see you for a long ti! Don't daddy, please!"
"Okay, what would you like to do?"
"Go see mommies, they want to see you, daddy!" Kyla said, throwing her arms up in the air.
So much for wanting to spend so alone ti with dad, but dad was never around so what was I supposed to expect. I kept my anger in check, but I was raging inside at Reginold. I should have been doing nothing but spending ti with these girls! Instead, I was off, still trying to save the worlds that he ssed up, but complaining would do nothing.
"Okay let's go back to mom first, daddy wasn't very nice, and I think I need to go say sorry for sothing."
"Don't worry, mommy still loves you no matter what, she told !" Kyla said, throwing her hands up again, and then she cuddled into , resting her head on my shoulder.
I headed back down, but I sent a thought into my mind as I went back into the ship. Eva had disappeared while the dungeon was activated, and I wanted to know if she was back.
'I am here.' -Eva.
'She ca back after you blacked out, but you have a lot going on so we decided to wait. We are both glad you're back up and okay, but you have got to get out of your head! Stop feeling sorry for yourself and be a man for the girls! Just be you and stop trying to dance around things with them!' -Trinity.
Great, now even the girls in my head were telling to man up, but they weren't wrong. I couldn't control others but I was responsible for what ca out of my mouth.
'I will try and be better, I guess.'
'Maybe you should just stop trying so hard and let the girls push you around for a bit? Maybe just let them spend the ti they want with you the way they want?' -Eva.
That was a reasonable idea and one that would be easier than trying to figure out ways to make everyone else happy.
