"How is this happening? How did the humans suddenly beco so powerful?"
In the last stronghold of the Black Tide, the Heart of Destruction was filled with frustration as it watched everything crumbling around it.
It had been a sudden change, but it was as if the humans had been injected with sothing. They gained power that was incomparable to what they possessed before and they started assaulting every stronghold that the Black Tide held.
Once they hit these strongholds, it was as if there wasn’t a single thing that could stop them.
They just charged right through the defensive lines that had been set up and reached the Apostle that was at the heart of every stronghold.
There wasn’t a single thing that the Apostle or even the creatures of the Black Tide could do. The power that they possessed cut right through the waves of the Black Tide like a hot knife through butter.
Now, they were left with just this single stronghold.
The Heart of Destruction could see that there were more and more humans that were showing up, they had all co here after taking care of the different strongholds.
Even if there were so Apostles that had survived the attacks, it didn’t an anything when they gathered at this place.
After all, the Heart of Destruction wasn’t even able to fight back against all of these heroes that were attacking them.
"How are they this coordinated?"
No matter how the Heart of Destruction thought about it, it couldn’t understand what had changed. After all, the humans had never been able to find them when they hid in their strongholds before.
The fact that this changed was the biggest reason why they had been able to turn the tide like this.
As far as the Heart of Destruction knew, they shouldn’t have had the capability to do this.
After all, the Black Tide had used a special thod to hide itself.
Unless one was literally able to see through the ground, then it would have been impossible to find all of these strongholds.
Only that was what the humans had done.
It really didn’t make any sense at all, but there was no ti to think about this.
"My Lord, we need help on the west side!"
"My Lord, they’re breaking down the gates!"
"My Lord, they’re destroying the power supply!"
No matter what report ca in, it didn’t seem like it was good news at all.
It seed like it was only a matter of ti before everything collapsed and the humans stord in. Once that happened, it wouldn’t be hard to guess what would happen to this Heart of Destruction.
At this rate, it seed like the humans would be able to completely wipe out the Black Tide.
"This can’t happen. I have to run."
The mont that it seed like everything was over, the Heart of Destruction didn’t have any hesitation at all. It knew that it had to abandon everything that it had built up and find a place to lay low.
That was just how it was when it ca to the Destruction.
None of the Destruction cared about each other, they only cared about themselves.
In fact, most of the subordinates that were currently fighting were actually looking for ways to run on their own. If it wasn’t for the fact that the humans had them completely surrounded like they were caught in a net, they might have run away.
But since they were surrounded, the only thing that they could do was fight with their lives on the line. Which technically was true since it seed like the humans were out for blood.
Once the net had closed in and the Heart of Destruction realized that it was only a matter of ti, it seed like the final trace of hesitation that had been in its heart disappeared.
It seed like the Heart of Destruction made up its mind.
"I won’t go down without a fight."
Once the Heart of Destruction made that declaration, everything around it started to stir.
Everything that belonged to the Black Tide was pulled in by the Heart of Destruction and wrapped around it. After wrapping around it, it started taking a form that was familiar and unfamiliar at the sa ti.
The base of the figure was a human figure, but the shape itself kept changing as if the black ooze was constantly boiling over. It seed like it was about to explode with how the black ooze kept shifting.
But even so, it remained together as one single mass.
After the Black Tide gathered together like this, the voice of the Heart of Destruction rang out, "You forced into this! I won’t go down that easily!"
Even before its voice fell, the arms at its sides were already moving.
It looked like it was planning on using those arms to swing out at everyone that was around it.
Only it wasn’t just a single pair of arms that were being swung.
Since it was a mass of black ooze in the first place, it ant that there were more arms that could be sprouted out of that mass of black ooze. So there were more and more arms that started appearing while the figure swung itself.
It seed like it wanted to use all of these arms to push back everything that was around it.
Only before the mass of black ooze could actually do that, there was sothing that happened.
The heroes that led the forces of humanity were all holding relics.
With so many gods, there were more and more relics that were being granted to them.
All of those relics had started to glow and it seed like that glowing was getting stronger.
After glowing for a while, the glow itself left the relics and took forms in the air above the heroes.
Those figures didn’t waste any ti as they charged at the swinging arms of the black ooze that were coming right at them.
