"It seems like they still don’t understand."
All of the heroes were confused to hear this, but none of them stopped attacking.
They had no idea what the situation was, but they chose to follow what they knew.
Even if it didn’t work, it was still less dangerous if the black ooze was taken care of.
"It’s ti to work together. I won’t be able to take care of them alone."
Once that voice fell, the kid raised his hand and the black ooze surged up around him.
When the heroes saw the black ooze surge up, they couldn’t help frowning once more. After all, they were able to see that this black ooze had completely changed when the kid raised his hand like that.
Before, the movent of the black ooze had been a bit stiff.
But now it was clearly much more fluid.
To put it in a better way, one could even say that it seed like it was alive now.
It was as if life had been breathed into the black ooze and it was moving like a living thing, one that was able to react to what was happening around it.
As for why it would move in this way...
It was sothing that had been on the back of their minds, but they had been trying to suppress that thought. It was the last thing that they would have expected to be the truth, but now it seed like it might be the truth.
After the attacks cleared out, the black ooze remained as a wall around the kid.
However, the kid’s hand ca down and the black ooze wall also ca down.
Once it was down, one could see that there was sothing very different about the kid.
It seed like the kid had transford to a certain extent, most likely due to the influence of the black ooze.
The kid was taller and there were things ford from the black ooze that clung to him. However, the things made from the black ooze that clung to him weren’t things that were harmful to him.
It seed like he was the one that was controlling these things.
With how smoothly he controlled it, it really seed like these things made from the black ooze were a part of him.
Once the kid transford like this, the only possibility was that this kid had completely fallen in with the Black Tide.
Only none of them could understand why this kid did this.
"Now, let’s take out these disgusting people."
When the kid said this, all of the heroes imdiately backed up.
They could feel the threat that ca from in front of them, so they knew that they wouldn’t want to take whatever was coming at them head on. It was just that this kid was going all out with his first attack.
Since he was going all out, the only thing that they could do was defend.
It seed like the power that he had obtained from accepting the Black Tide was real.
It was just that there were those that had cards up their sleeves.
Even if the kid beca stronger with the power of the Black Tide, the heroes also had tricks that they could use.
In particular, Percival had sothing quite powerful hidden up his sleeve.
Seeing the power that the kid unleashed, Percival knew that this was no ti to be standing around in a daze. The only thing that he could do now was pull out his trump card to take care of this kid before anyone else got hurt.
Each hero was a precious resource in the fight against the Black Tide and it wasn’t as if he could get any more information from this kid.
Which was why his sword suddenly released an intense glow.
However, this glow wasn’t sent out as a slash like before.
Instead, this glow traveled through the body of the sword and reached Percival’s hand. After reaching his hand, the glow continued up his body until it was completely covering him.
It seed to be so kind of power up.
"This is bad." The kid said all of a sudden when he saw the glow wrapping around Percival like this.
The attacks that the kid had been shooting out at the heroes also ca to a stop when he said this.
He clearly recognized Percival as a threat, which was why he was pulling back the black ooze to prepare for it.
With a single step, Percival appeared in front of the kid.
It was just a single step, but he cleared this distance in an instant.
Even the black ooze that had instinctively attacked everything that had approached the kid couldn’t react in ti to Percival’s sudden burst of speed.
Once he appeared in front of the kid, that was when the sword that he had been holding up ca down.
The kid could see that this was dangerous, but he also knew that he couldn’t block this completely. Which was why he raised one hand and waved the other hand.
The hand that was raised pulled most of the black ooze that was under him up to form a shield right between him and the sword.
The hand that waved drew the remaining bit of black ooze to pull him away.
It was a two pronged approach of defense and evasion at the sa ti.
The black ooze was shattered under Percival’s sword, but the slash didn’t reach the kid since he had decided to run. It only nicked him and left a small gash on his face.
The black ooze that was around the gash seed to be trying to heal it, but it just wouldn’t close. It was as if there was sothing inside of that wound that was preventing it from healing.
"You’re too dangerous to fight, he doesn’t know how to control his power yet."
With that, the black ooze that remained under the kid started swallowing him up.
He burrowed into the ground as if he was running away.
