“Well... well, yes. Many thanks, Miss Ling,” replied Jiang Wuhen in gratitude as he wiped the cold sweat off his forehead.
“No matter what, we are still considered friends who have gone through life and death stakes together. However, friendship is friendship, and business is business. Isn’t that right?” continued Ling Chuxi as a mischievous light flashed across her eyes.
“What Miss Ling says makes sense. It makes sense,” said Jiang Wuhen in a panic with a forced smile on his face as he watched Lady Xiao Rou and the towering butchers wielding their glaring knives co closer and closer.

“You’re ruthless!” cried Jiang Wuhen as he stared at Ling Chuxi. Then he grit his teeth and dug out the still cold gold note from amongst his belongings and handed it back into Ling Chuxi’s hands.
Ling Yichen cast a few glances at Jiang Wuhen, finding his situation funny and pitiful at the sa ti. This clown. Trying to rip off soone like Ling Chuxi. He deserved to be unfortunate.
When Ling Yichen observed what was happening as they drove by earlier, he already knew what to do as he already had plenty of experience with these kinds of situations. Without needing to say anything, he flew off the carriage and made a single slash with the sword in his hand using his Battle Qi. Imdiately after, an old tree beside the road with a diater so wide, a few people would have to hug it in order to asure it, fell over, hitting the ground with a loud thud.
