Ling Chuxi’s eyes watched the movents of Su Yizhi’s hands, but her heart was dwelling on another matter. The Golden Pill Sect’s dical skills were split into three streams. Though the application and acupuncture thods she learnt in the other world were much more exquisite, the Su family’s thods emphasized the control of one’s Battle Qi. If she used what she learned in her past world and integrated it with the Su family’s thods, wouldn’t the effects be even better?
On one hand, Ling Chuxi paid attention to how Su Yizhi exerted control over his Qi of True Essence, while on the other hand, she was already emulating it in her mind with even her fingers moving lightly along in practice. What she felt was an unprecedented smooth flow of Battle Qi.
“All right, co and give it a try now,” said Su Yizhi to Ling Chuxi once he was done demonstrating. A thin layer of sweat had appeared on his forehead from the effort of the demonstration. One had to understand that even though he was of at the cultivation level of True Essence, he was so tired because the integration of Qi Of True Essence with regards to pill refinent was greatly depleting to its practitioners.
“All right, let think on this for a little while more,” said Ling Chuxi before lightly shutting her eyes and silently replaying the application thods Su Yizhi had just demonstrated in her heart.
“Okay,” announced Ling Chuxi once she opened her eyes. After that, she opened the pill furnace and put in the few herbs that were already carefully ground in preparation.
“Don’t you want to run through the application hand motions with an empty furnace first?” asked Su Yizhi, slightly stunned when he saw Ling Chuxi’s actions.
He knew that Ling Chuxi’s pill refinent standards were not bad, but the refinent of the Crisis Reverse Pill required an intense usage of Battle Qi applied through a specific technique which was the secret inheritance of the Su family. Ling Chuxi had rely learnt it a few days ago, and no matter how good she was, how good could she possibly get it right on her first try? They had not co by these herbs easily and if they were so simply ruined through a bad refinent process, even if Ling Chuxi did not feel heartache, he would.
“No need,” replied Ling Chuxi. She could clearly tell that this kind of pill refinent thod would result in too great of a depletion for her. If she were to try it once before doing it again the next round, then she would not be in her best shape and her chances of failure would beco even greater.
“These herbs were not obtained easily. If they were ruined during a trial refinent, we would need to prepare another set of herbs which would require the efforts of another ten years,” chid in Su Yizhi, he could not help but to add a reminder of caution. He was confident of Ling Chuxi’s abilities, but he was not blind to the risks of what she was doing.
“There should be no problem, said” Ling Chuxi sowhat reservedly, she did not dare to appear too arrogant.
“All right then.” Su Yizhi no longer insisted as although Ling Chuxi spoke reservedly, her face was full of self-confidence. She appeared so confident that even Su Yizhi did not know what to say.
The fire was lit, the herbs were thrown in, and the flas of the fire was sotis strong and sotis weak under the control of Ling Chuxi’s Battle Qi as it danced under the pill furnace, like a little fire spirit. At tis it would rise high, like a burst of light covering the whole pill furnace, then like a waterfall of fire falling and flowing along the outside of the pill furnace’s walls. The sight was dazzling and beautiful.
Su Yizhi nodded to himself. Ling Chuxi’s pill refinent skills on display at this mont had far surpassed any of the youth of the Su family who had high expectations of themselves but lacked the ability to et them. Even in comparison to himself and Su Yizhen, Ling Chuxi’s execution was not worse off. There was indeed a uniqueness to the Golden Pill Sect’s other streams of dical skills.
‘How things would turn out in a bit?’ wondered Su Yizhi, starting to anticipate the outco.
A thick dicinal fragrance rose from the pill furnace and Ling Chuxi’s fingers moved in a series of motions. They pressed, picked, flew, pulled and pierced, controlling her Battle Qi and sending it into the pill furnace. There was an exquisite beauty resembling jade to her Battle Qi that appeared and disappeared under the envelopnt of the light of the fire. Her fingers were slender and fair, and they executed bright and clean moves. At tis, her actions were swift and light, like willow catkins flying through the air, and at other tis they were as mysterious as a fog, and yet at other tis, they felt as solemn as mountain peaks.
Even Su Yizhi who was watching felt refreshed by the sight and was srized by her skill.
‘No wonder she had such great self-confidence. It turns out that when two dical streams of the Golden Pill Sect were combined, the result was actually so amazing!’ Su Yizhi saw how Ling Chuxi integrated both thods for the first ti and beca extrely emotional and also extrely delighted. If the three streams could be combined into one, who knows how amazing the result of it would be?
