What Burial God Tomb! She had to see just what kind of wickedness it entailed!

Xia Mian didn’t believe in curses, and her stride grew even firr as she walked northward.

Ding Cheng followed behind Xia Mian and the others, gradually falling behind.

Just as she planned to slip away quietly, Xia Mian’s voice suddenly echoed in her ear, "Where do you think you’re going?"

Xia Mian hadn’t turned around, yet it was as if she had eyes on the back of her head, aware of everything happening behind her.

Ding Cheng’s body stiffened slightly, forcing a smile, "I’m not going anywhere!"

Still not turning her head, Xia Mian laughed softly, "It’s best you don’t try any tricks. After all, we have unfinished business, and your life is on my account."

Ding Cheng’s expression turned sowhat ugly, but she didn’t say much.

On the Divine Clan’s turf, the Divine Clan had absolute control, especially this person before her, who even made the Divine Clan heiress suffer a loss!

A wise man knows when to back down. Weighing the pros and cons, Ding Cheng decided to temporarily give up the idea of sneaking off.

With a guilty conscience, Ding Cheng followed behind the group. In the barren forest, crows cawed, sending chills up her spine.

Ding Cheng tried using magic to cover her ears, but found, as Xia Weizhang had said, all magic was ineffective here!

Ding Cheng’s expression grew unpleasant. She had planned to set a trap for Xia Mian but had ensnared herself instead. Truly, one should never have malicious intent!

Steps crunched on the dead leaves, the sound growing more frequent, making Xia Weizhang’s jaw tense.

His gaze involuntarily darted around, spotting a crow on a tree grinning at him!

That crow’s smile was too eerie. Xia Weizhang let out a piercing scream, leaping off the ground.

With Xia Weizhang’s scream, it was as if a switch had been flipped in the barren forest, and a fierce wind whipped up.

Xia Mian squinted, glanced back at Xia Weizhang, and barked coldly, "Shut up!"

Xia Weizhang’s scream abruptly stopped, swallowed back into his mouth.

Whistling winds howled, dead leaves flew, the sky turned dark.

It looked like the world’s end.

Ding Cheng instinctively moved closer to Xia Mian, her body slightly crouched, entering a defensive stance.

The wind carried moans, occasionally reaching everyone’s ears.

Xia Mian’s expression turned intensely grave.

This place reeked of evil. If Song Juan had co here, she might trigger traps and et with misfortune, even if not scared to death.

Worried about Song Juan, Xia Mian ignored these haunting spirits, focusing on tracing Song Juan’s presence.

Xia Mian’s disregard infuriated the whimpering voices in the wind, turning into piercing laughter, swirling with the dead leaves, lingering around their ears.

Frowning slightly, Xia Mian found these things tireso!

As that thought erged, Lu Zechuan waved his hand impatiently, "Get lost!"

At those words, the dead leaves surrounding them scattered like mice fleeing cats, like creatures fleeing disaster!

The laughter faded, leaving quiet in its wake, the crying ceased too.

Xia Weizhang glanced at Lu Zechuan in surprise before edging away stealthily.

Weren’t spiritual powers and Taoist skills supposed to vanish for all who entered the back mountain, rendering them powerless?

What’s up with this Wood Clan kid?!

Under Xia Weizhang’s astonished gaze, Lu Zechuan turned slightly, glanced at him, and smiled.

The smile was kindly, causing Xia Weizhang to retreat two more steps subconsciously.

With the other’s abilities intact and his own powers nullified, offending him was unthinkable; otherwise, he might not even know how he’d die!

Lu Zechuan withdrew his gaze after a casual glance.

Though the place felt eerie, he noticed his abilities remained the mont he entered.

He could still control plants, bending them to his will.

Xia Mian gave him a look of approval, "Well done!"

Lu Zechuan smiled lightly, "Let’s go!"

Xia Mian resud her path, following her sensed direction.

Ding Cheng hesitated a mont, then followed.

As a fellow descendant of the Wood Clan, her abilities were entirely suppressed here, yet Lu Zechuan could use his freely.

Could sothing here be related to the Wood Clan descendants?

But wasn’t this space created by the Divine Clan ancestors? How could there be traces of Wood Clan forebears?

Questions filled Ding Cheng’s mind. Though she considered the Wood Clan her enemy, subconsciously she was subtly concerned about everything related to the clan.

Xia Mian walked so distance and stopped in front of an abandoned shack.

The little shack was old, surrounded by fallen leaves and shrouded in fog, appearing hazy within the mist.

Song Juan’s presence disappeared here.

The dense mist and barren forest, coupled with the incongruous little wooden hut, all hinted at a turn towards the bizarre.

Xia Mian stepped closer to the hut, slowly reaching to push the door.

As her hand almost touched the wooden door, Lu Zechuan suddenly called out, "Don’t move!"

Xia Mian withdrew her hand thoughtfully, her fingers performing a seal.

As her final gesture settled, the little wooden door swung open.

Upon opening the hut, a burst of black mist shot out!

Prepared, Lu Zechuan commanded the fallen leaves to encircle the mist as it erged.

The black mist, trapped by dry leaves, emitted a sound reminiscent of human wailing, struggling within its confinent.

Xia Mian’s frown deepened. Song Juan’s presence had vanished here, but only a Fog Spirit with shallow cultivation lingered...

Song Juan had been missing for nearly two hours, and without news of her, Xia Mian was growing restless.

"Have you seen this person?" Xia Mian held up a photo of Song Juan to the struggling black mist.

The Fog Spirit paused, seemingly recognizing the image, then transford into an arrow, pointing to the ground.

Xia Mian eyed the arrow thoughtfully.

Pointing to the ground?

Could her mother have been buried?

As the thought arose, Xia Mian felt a surge of inexplicable agitation.

Lu Zechuan gently placed a hand on her shoulder, "Don’t worry. She’ll be fine."

Xia Mian’s agitated heart eased, and she softly humd in response.

She needed to stay calm, remain rational. If she could sense Song Juan’s aura earlier, it ant she should still be safe.
