Karine being as ek and submissive as she could be was easily forced by the n to the front. Having sowhat of a cowardly disposition she couldn't lash at those n. They thought she was a coward and couldn't fight back but weren't they the greatest cowards themselves?

When a pack of humans faces a tough situation, it is usually the weakest chain of the group that suffers the most. It is like how a rope when pulled with enough strength would have its weakest link severed first.

"Pardon? What was your na again?"

In fact Karine was so ek that her squeaky voice didn't reach Gozoto at all.

"Karine… Karine yer," she put a bit more force to her voice. Her legs were still shaking like crazy.

Gozoto noted down her data.

"Okay, now punch that punching bag with all of your strength," Gozoto ordered.

Karine nodded reluctantly. With fidgety steps, she closed in and closed her eyes. She punched with all she had.

*Bam*

[Level 1]

A ssage popped up on the screen of the tallic fra. Gozoto nodded as he scribbled on his notepad.

"The higher the level you score, the greater the benefits you would receive. So make sure you give it your all." Gozoto roared, making sure that everyone heard his little announcent.

He had already ntioned before that greater score would an greater benefits and didn't felt the need to repeat.

"Tsk," Klautz clicked his tongue.

'It is so easy to trick the newbies since they don't know anything.'

Na: Karine yer

Age: 18

Strength: 10-20

That was what Gozoto's notes looked like. Similarly, Gozoto was planning to discern the data of everyone present.

People like Ronald might have prevented them from forcing newbies to reveal their status screens but under the guise of training, they could still discern the strength of everyone present.

Not to ntion that if they found soone interesting they could force them to spit out. Just a dark room was all it takes.

"Co here," Gozoto beckoned Karine. He made her stand on a platform that was facing the black cannon-like structures.

"The cannon would shoot wooden sticks towards you. You have to try your best to dodge them." Gozoto ordered again.

*Boom* *Boom*

A stream of shot were hurled towards Karine. She dodged a few but was soon to be hit.

"Ow," she held her hand wringing it in pain.

[Level 1]

Another ssage popped up on the platform Karine was standing on.

Agility: 10-20

"But of course this thod has a lot of flaws. But it is enough for them to put forth their ploy," Klautz whispered as he watched the tests from afar.

Whatever they were doing was far from efficient. They had done their best fooling the newbies and luring them with resources. But soone like Klautz could easily get away all the while giving them false information.

Finally…

"Karine, what skills or classes do you have on your status screen?" Gozoto asked.

"Uhh… I don't think I have any."

"Okay, you can leave. Go back to the hall where you were seated before and wait for further instructions."

Karine nodded as she left. The crowd in the queue followed her with their eyes as they sighed in relief that nothing bad happened to her. But were those sighs for her or for themselves?

Being the first one to participate in the test she felt she would almost burst out her dam from nervousness. Tears left her trail as she was trying hard to hold herself back. She ran through the hall as she could finally rest her nerves. Gozoto's pressure wasn't sothing to trifle with.

Klautz too followed her with his gaze and nodded.

'Newbies like her don't need to worry about stats being revealed. They might suffer in the start but the end result would be good… At least much better than the scenario had their stats been a secret.'

Klautz turned to Selena as he pulled her to his embrace. His rugged breath brushing against her ears made her body tingle.

"Ahh? So sudden?"

"Shut up. Listen to what I have to say," Klautz whispered.

Klautz was rather annoyed. 'Does all she does is think of perverted things all the ti?' Was what he thought. Here he was about to tell her sothing important yet her mind could only think dirty.

"They will be asking you what kind of classes or skills you hold. When that ti cos, tell them that you don't have any." Klautz whispered in her ears.

Selena glanced into Klautz eyes as she blinked. He was dead serious making her nod.

"Oh my! What a lovely couple," a woman clasped her hands as she said.

It was the yukata girl from before. She had a blooming smile on her face.

Klautz could only duck his head in confusion.

'Are all girls perverts?' he thought. 'For sure I handled her a bit roughly but that shouldn't look romantic right?'

For better or worse, Klautz wasn't much versed with human relationships, thanks to his life as a ninja.

While Klautz was shrouded in confusion the yukata girl couldn't help but exclaim when she saw Klautz and Selena so close to each other.

When everyone was panic-stricken with fear gulping their throats, having a couple share a romantic mont was quite the eye candy for the girl. A mont ago she was just as annoyed as everyone as to how gloomy the air was.

Klautz smiled wryly as he made a bit of distance from Selena.

At the sa ti, Selena was trying hard to hold back her chuckle.

'He can be cute at tis.' she though as she glanced towards him only to be broken off by the girl's shouts.

"Big Sis! You must be lucky to have soone you love at tis like this, don't you?"
