Shinji moved to control the stakes.

If it were just a small-scale effort to make the stakes pop up, it would only take a thought. But for more complex, high-difficulty maneuvers, specific movents were necessary.

Like now, Shinji was using a technique targeting Lorelei's mithril outfit—Stake Control Art!

Mithril was indeed incredibly tough, and the stakes, with their ordinary iron-like hardness, couldn't penetrate the protective clothing. But after all, the outfit Lorelei wore wasn't Karna's Golden Armor, which was a divine blessing from the sun god Surya, offering flawless protection through divine power and authority.

Even if it was made of mithril, clothing was still just clothing. It wasn't without gaps. If Shinji could attack at her collar or cuffs, Lorelei would still be injured.

Unfortunately, this plan didn't work out as Shinji had hoped. Instead, it placed him in danger, all because of a single movent of Lorelei's foot.

Before she moved, Lorelei had been in mid-air, surrounded by Shinji's Stake Control Art on all sides. But after she shifted her foot, she instantly appeared behind Shinji, delivering a punch aid directly at his back.

Although Shinji's ntal scanning was always active and imdiately detected Lorelei's movents, her speed and attack were so swift that he couldn't evade in ti. All he could do was throw up a hurried block, but it was no surprise when he was sent flying by the force of her punch.

Lorelei, now holding the upper hand, didn't stop. With another seemingly casual step, she instantly teleported behind Shinji again, preparing another punch.

However, this ti, Shinji was ready. As he moved, he summoned rows of stakes to surround himself, blocking Lorelei's fist from landing on him. Her punch only shattered the stake barrier without reaching Shinji.

Shinji took the opportunity to spread a forest of iron stakes around him and finally let out a long breath.

"Whew, that was close! Almost got there. Those Celtic Fairy Shoes—at first, I thought it was dinsional teleportation, but good thing it wasn't."

Fairies are mysterious beings who live in the realm of illusions and can freely traverse between the imaginary world and the real world. The Fairy Shoes represent this ability. By shifting between the world of illusions and reality, Lorelei successfully avoided Shinji's stakes and launched her attack from his blind spot.

"Does it matter to you?"

Lorelei, standing outside the forest of iron stakes, glanced around as if searching for a suitable point to leap again.

"Of course, it matters. Dinsional jumps are tricky to deal with, even for . But if it's just shifting between the imaginary world and reality, well, I'd say your luck has run out."

"Oh?"

Lorelei raised an eyebrow provocatively, and the next mont, her body vanished into thin air.

"Yes."

Shinji remained standing in place with a smile on his face, even deliberately dispelling the stakes around him to leave space for an attack.

However, this ti, Lorelei didn't reappear behind him as she had before. She didn't appear anywhere nearby at all, leaving one to wonder if she had simply disappeared or left altogether.

It wasn't until several seconds later that a sound like an explosion echoed through the air. Lorelei reappeared, her body still radiating enormous magical power as though she had just been through an intense battle.

She stared at Shinji with a chilling gaze, her voice hoarse as she asked, "What did you do?"

"Nothing much just interfered a little with the surrounding illusions. Didn't I tell you? I'm pretty good at this. I'm probably better at it than any human in this world."

Who's the expert on illusions?

That would be the True Ancestor Princess Arcueid, the Water Demon Sumire, and Zepia Eltnam Oberon, the Night of Wallachia. The first two possess the ability to manifest illusions, while the latter can create an imaginary world in which rumors beco reality—an early form of the Sixth Magic or Sixt Law.

Although Zepia had been destroyed with no trace left, his research on this subject had fallen into Shinji's hands. Combined with frequently observing Arcueid's use of illusion manifestation, Shinji's understanding of the imaginary world surpassed that of even the legendary fairies. For Lorelei to play this ga in front of him was nothing short of humiliating herself.

"If you don't believe , you can try again. This ti, I can even prepare a castle for you ahead of ti."

"No need."

Lorelei knew Shinji wasn't bluffing and shook her head decisively.

"Shall we continue then?"

Shinji raised his hand, and the stakes in front of him began to levitate in unison.

"Continue. That was just the warm-up. Now the real fight begins."

Lorelei lifted her hand as well, and suddenly the night sky was illuminated.

Unlike the sun-like concept Shinji had summoned earlier, this light was even brighter, though not as intense. It was the purest form of light.

"What is that—?"

Shinji's expression shifted slightly. He could sense the power contained within the light—it was a force not inferior to the Unbreakable Blade, a destructive power that was ancient and imnse, even by the standards of the Age of Gods.

"Oh, this girl's brought out sothing rather interesting. It's been nearly two thousand years since I've seen that spear."

In the shadows, Scathach, materialized at the edge of the battlefield, standing next to Waver and Iskandar, speaking in admiration.

"Be careful, Shinji. That's the magic spear once used by Lugh, the God of Light— Brionac."

"Lugh, the God of Light? Isn't that Cu Chulainn's father?"

Shinji responded instinctively, as that was his first impression of Lugh.

"Your focus is..."

Scathach chuckled and sighed.

"That's a weapon used by a chief god, a weapon of slaughter."

Shinji suddenly realized, "Oh, right. In that case, I can only use the Unbreakable Blade... uh..."

"What's wrong?"

"That Noble Phantasm was just negated by a Dead Apostle, and I haven't had ti to repair it."

"..."

Scathach was speechless and turned to Iskandar and Waver.

"Figure it out yourself. Conqueror King, Velvet, step back ten ters."

"Oh, oh, hurry, hurry!"

Iskandar grabbed Waver and dashed back, while Scathach also retreated, leaving Shinji alone to face the divine weapon's oncoming strike.

"Hey, hey, you can't just leave like this!"

Shinji shouted in protest, but Scathach only gave him a lazy glance and an irrefutable reason.

"I'm injured!"

At this mont, the light in the sky reached its peak, and the destructive aura locked onto the boy on the ground.

"Flirting with won at a ti like this? Don't bla for not holding back!"

High in the air, Lorelei's eye twitched as she clenched her teeth.

"Matou Shinji!"

With a swing of her arm, the spear of light descended from the heavens, connecting sky and earth with a pillar of destruction.
