Chapter 25: Su Mu, You’re Tricking Us!

[Black Bone Bird]

[Level: 6]

[Characteristics: Flying, Ambush, Nocturnal Monster]

[Description: A monster that likes to ambush its enemies at night. More terrifying than its lethality is its appearance in the dark.]

As Su Mu aid at the bird, relevant information appeared in front of his eyes.

So, it’s a nocturnal predator.

If Su Mu had been outside his hideout last night, he might have encountered this monster.

But the system was right—this monster was indeed revolting. It was definitely a bird, but it had a round head. Its entire body was skeletal, with patches of decomposed skin hanging from its wings. Its hollow eyes glowed ominously, making it a creature out of nightmares.

Encountering such a monster at night would terrify anyone without a strong heart. However, seeing it during the day greatly diminished its fear factor, especially when Su Mu could kill it instantly with his Anti-Evil Crossbow.

“Done,” he muttered as he pulled the trigger.

The bird let out a haunting cry before plumting to the ground.

“The effect of the World’s Blessing has only one minute left. Let’s collect the loot.”

Su Mu approached the fallen Black Bone Bird and examined its drops.

[Black Bone Bird Feather] x10

[Description: Sharp feathers that can be used as throwing knives. These are the hardest feathers of the Black Bone Bird.]

The feathers were useful as makeshift throwing knives. However, Su Mu already had his Anti-Evil Crossbow for ranged attacks, so these would likely end up on the trade market.

[Black Bone Bird at] x6

[Description: at that is said to relieve so pain when eaten, but has no healing effect and looks very unappetizing. Only the extrely desperate would eat it.]

Su Mu’s expression twisted into one of disbelief as he collected the at. Undead creature at? Isn’t this like eating zombie flesh?

Even though the system assured him it was non-toxic and harmless, he couldn’t bring himself to eat it.

“I’ll just toss a piece onto the trade market. Soone desperate enough will buy it,” he decided with a smirk.

While the loot wasn’t particularly impressive, the doubled experience points were worthwhile.

After defeating the Scarlet Boar King, Su Mu had gained three thousand experience points. The Black Bone Bird added another two hundred. Without the doubling effect, the experience would have been far less.

Su Mu checked his personal level.

[Personal Level: 2 (4120/5000)]

I’m so close to level three. Most players probably hadn’t even reached level two yet. Even those who had scored their first kills wouldn’t have advanced this quickly. The World’s Blessing had been a ga-changer.

[Ding! Reminder to Survivors: The effect of the World’s Blessing has expired.]

“Well, that’s that.” Su Mu waved to the sky with a satisfied grin before sitting down to list the Black Bone Bird’s loot.

[Listed Items: Black Bone Bird Flesh / Black Bone Bird Feather]

[Trade Settings: Fragnted Gold Grass x1, Iron Shard Stone x1]

Iron Shard Stone was essential for upgrading Glass Bracers, which were proving to be valuable equipnt.

At the sa ti, Su Mu adjusted the pricing of [Purified Bones], offering three bones in exchange for one Fragnted Gold Grass or Glass Stone.

The longer the two billion survivors stay in this world, the faster they adapt. Most can now defeat rookie monsters on their own.

Although the demand for Purified Bones had decreased, Su Mu had already reaped significant profits the day before.

With his trade listings updated, the world forum erupted into chatter.

[User 1: Su Mu has listed more items! This ti, it looks like the loot ca from a Black Bone Bird.]

[User 2: Black Bone Bird? I encountered one last night and nearly died of fright!]

[User 3: Such a terrifying monster, and Su Mu defeated it?]

[User 4: Well, Su Mu did defeat a level 10 mini-boss. A Black Bone Bird shouldn’t be too difficult for him.]

[User 5: Su Mu’s progress is insane. Even Goddess Qin Yan only just uploaded Snow Mountain Wild Boar at, and that’s probably as tough as the Scarlet Wild Boar.]

One user shared their intent to trade.

[User 6: I happen to have Iron Shard Stone. I’ll take the Black Bone Bird at. It scared so much last night!]

Monts later, a curious silence fell over the forum.

[User 7: Wait, the person who bought the Black Bone Bird at hasn’t posted in five minutes. Did sothing happen?]

Eventually, the buyer returned to complain.

[User 6: Su Mu, you’re tricking us!]

[User 6: How can we eat the at of an undead creature?!]

Naturally, Su Mu ignored the complaints. Returns were not part of his trade policy.
