Chapter 157 - I'M SURPRISING MY MOTHER AND FATHER
Stefan's low mood soared once again because of her retort. Cayenne didn't just redy his sleeping disorder but her also helped him in his every day struggle. Many people think that he didn't have any problem in life because he's a rich man and he's got everything he wanted. But they're absolutely wrong. Aside from Cayenne and Chris, no one knew how much he struggle just to keep his empire from crumbling and from keeping his life safe from all the murder attempts done by his business rivals.
Stefan sighed with a smile on his face. "I'll make sure to let you know when I'm being bullied."
"You better be." Cayenne responded with a proud smile. "Anyway, I've got to go to work now. I'll see you later."
"Hn. See you."
The call ended but this ti, Stefan's smile didn't leave his handso face. He was still happy even if the following days will be a little bit stormy.
He had everything planned already and the first step was to send the docunts to the police departnt. They can investigate this matter once and for all. "Maybe I should give her a little scare." Stefan mumbled to himself and for the first ti, he was willing to beco sinister. "I'll send the docunts after a week."
Then, he searched for a flower shop and bought a bouquet of black roses.
Later that day, around six in the evening, Clara and Magnus ca ho from the company and when they're about to get inside the gate, they caught sight of the flowers. To so people, a black rose is a sign of bad on and seeing so many of them, Magnus was truly horrified.
"There's a flower at the gate. Go and get it then throw it away." Magnus asked one of the maids the mont he got out of the car. Clara had a frown on her pretty face but she imdiately schooled her expression as if there's nothing wrong in her life.
The next day, the sa thing happened. When they got ho from work, they saw the sa bouquet of black roses. Once again, Magnus asked soone to throw the flowers away.
And the next day after that, the sa thing happened. This ti, Magnus was so angry that he picked the flowers himself and was about to throw it when a note fell. What was written on the notes was even more horrifying than the roses itself. His hands trembled and he couldn't seem to form any words with his mouth.
In the end, he pocketed the notes and brought the flowers inside the house. Clara saw what happened and she was furious because Magnus left her inside the car; and the car was still outside the gate.
"Magnus!" She called his na but he didn't respond to her or even took a glance towards his angry wife. "Magnus! The car is still outside."
Magnus seed to have been pulled away from reality. He was in a daze and his mind was closed off, not letting any voice got into his head.
Clara was left with no other choice but to call one of the guards and asked him to drive the car back to the garage. And she followed her husband to their house. "What's wrong with you?!" Clara pulled his arm and made him stop walking. The grief on his face was so heavy and there were tears in his eyes. "Hey! What happened to you?"
Magnus looked towards his wife and smiled. "Clara, are you hiding sothing from ?"
"?" She questioned while pointing her index finger to herself. "I am not keeping anything from you. I've been very honest.? Between the two of us, weren't you the one who cheated on ?"
"Right." Magnus responded but the seed of doubt was slowly taking roots in his heart. He clenched on the note inside his pocket and decided to shred it later before Clara co across of it. 'Your beloved Alexander wasn't your son.' These were the words written on the small piece of paper that was placed between the flowers.
"What was that flower all about?" Clara asked when she still saw the flowers on the coffee table in the living room.
"It's the sa flowers. I don't know who sent them."
"What about the note? I saw you taking the note earlier?"
"The note said that sothing's going to happen to us. We need to be careful in the next few days."
"I see."
Clara didn't doubt him and just continued to walk upstairs. On the other hand, Magnus went to the security room in the guard house and checked the CCTV caras. In the past three days, around five-thirty, a man wearing a black hoodie will co and place the bouquet of flowers and will leave right after that. He didn't do anything out of place aside from placing the flowers there.
"Why didn't you check the man when he ca the next day?" Magnus asked the security guard.
"Sir, he may look like he was walking slow in the cara but every ti I went out to catch him, he's nowhere to be found. And when I try to guard the gate to wait for him, he won't co. He would wait for the right ti when no ones around. As if he knew this place with the back of his hand."
"Just continue to monitor him. And next ti, when another flower is sent by that person, just get the flower and bring it here. I'll co and pick it once I'm ho. Also, don't let Clara know about this."
"Yes, sir."
The next day, Stefan didn't order any flowers, instead he brought the DNA results ho and asked Cayenne to ford them into a kind of folded paper flowers. Instead of real flowers, he and Cayenne made a bouquet of paper flowers this ti.
"What are you going to do with these?" Cayenne asked her while she arranged the paper flowers into a beautiful bouquet.
"I'm surprising my father and mother."
