The garden of Henry’s mansion was largely a vast lawn, which was also used for training given the wooden dummies spread around.

Most of the plants were kept around the borders, carefully tended to. So while it was an extension of the training area, it also served as a garden to gaze at no matter the season.

But the two opponents hardly saw any of that. Instead, they were in even higher spirits now that they could fight outside.

“I hope you’re ready!”

After a short pause, ilin gleefully charged ahead.

Mira quickly readied herself for an incoming combo started with Ground Shrink. ilin’s options were limited now that there were no walls or ceiling, but she could not lower her guard around ilin, as she knew very well how relentless ilin was from watching her fight thousands and tens of thousands of tis.

But since Mira was so focused on being ready for any possible complex combo, she did not consider that ilin could do sothing else coupled with her Ground Shrink advance.

For a mont she realized sothing was off, and only noticed what it was when it appeared below her.

“What…?!”

She let out a confused voice before a loud crash, after which she was sent flying high into the air. That was an ability ilin had recently developed, which would start from her feet and creep along the ground before bursting below Mira.

Since it was so new, Mira had not even thought of preparing herself for it.

(So she’s co up with ways to use it as a feint too…!)

Ground Shrink allowed one to rush right next to an opponent, but activating it required a specific foot movent, and with mastery one could mask it amongst other movents, or detect when soone else was trying to use it secretly.

ilin was one of the best users of it, and now she had found a way to act like she was going to use Ground Shrink, when in reality she was using a different ability, making it much harder to fight her.

After being flung a good ten ters into the air, Mira managed to stabilize herself with Sky Stride, but she was not out of the woods yet.

She felt a sudden burst of mana and almost instinctively used her Summoner Art Evacuation Guidance, bringing all of the Holy Lords she had summoned earlier to her side.

A mont later, a far louder crash than before echoed into the distance.

It was ilin’s Refined Impact, which she had tried to use on Mira in mid-air, and ended up colliding with the many Holy Lords. It had been so powerful that in the end, only two of the Holy Lords were still in good shape.

“She’s terrifying…”

Mira felt a cold chill as she saw the destruction. But then felt another burst of mana, telling her that ilin’s combo was not over yet, and Mira desperately kicked around to move away.

The Holy Lords, or what remained of them, did not have that kind of mobility, so gravity took over and pulled them down, but they would not reach the ground.

**Secret Sage Art – Earth: Hazy Azure Moon**

Barely a mont later, an even more powerful blast ca from the ground, going in a straight line up.

A powerful gust of wind spread out, the ground below cracked, all the windows rattled, and even the clouds above dispersed in a circular pattern. ilin’s attack had pierced through the sky, and all the Holy Lords in its path were turned to dust and vanished into the clouds.

(She’s still ridiculously powerful…)

Mira shuddered after experiencing ilin’s chain of secret abilities as she descended and landed on the mansion’s rooftop, carefully looking at ilin in case she would continue attacking.

But ilin showed no signs of moving. Instead, she was looking at Mira completely still, her eyes filled with expectation.

Mira recognized that look. ilin was essentially saying it was Mira’s turn now. After showing such a powerful attack, she wanted her opponent to also show sothing impressive.

(And that’s still the sa as usual.)

ilin would no longer attack, and instead was waiting for sothing exciting to co. Mira smiled seeing that, deciding that was her perfect chance. She had already begun preparations while she was spinning in mid-air, and now she just needed to activate her summons.

“It’s my turn now!”

Mira announced that, and ilin’s face lit up even more, replying, “Bring it on!”

“As you wish!”

Mira activated her summons, ready to put her experint into practice, after which countless magic circles appeared in mid-air, covering the sky and being stacked on two layers.

Each of them produced a Dark Knight arm holding weapons, and a mont later they threw those weapons at the ground.

It was similar to what Mira had used against the Skull Dragon in the Ancient Underground City. Except that she had refined and improved it since then.

Now they staggered their timing slightly when throwing their weapons, instead of being all at once, while constantly tracking their target. On top of that, the variety of weapons had increased, including swords, spears, axes, and bows for those who attacked later.

“That’s too much!”

The sky darkened from all the summons, and weapons rained down. That was too much even for ilin, as her excitent and anticipation quickly turned to panic as she began running around the garden, dodging the incessant stream of weapons following her.

“But I won’t lose!”

Realizing she could not keep running for much longer, she stopped and faced the weapons head on, crossing her arms in front of her face.

“Oh…is she going to do that?”

Seeing that, Mira decided to just throw the remaining weapons all at once, including those from magic circles she had not activated yet. All of that had more than enough power to easily slaughter rank A monsters.

anwhile, ilin stood her ground, staring intently at the weapons going after her. A mont later, all the swords, axes, spears, and arrows fell rcilessly on ilin. Even the constant dull noise of their collision showed how powerful they were.

“So what do you think? That’s my most recent addition.”

A few seconds later the weapons vanished, revealing ilin still standing in place, a satisfied smile on her lips.

“That one hit pretty hard! It took by surprise.”

There was not even a scratch on ilin as she lowered her arms. She had only been able to survive that onslaught because of the powers of Sages. She had used Sage Fortitude Art: Mountain.

That ability montarily made it impossible to use Ground Shrink, Sky Stride, and any ranged Heaven Sage Arts, in exchange of an ironclad defense. It also empowered defensive Earth Sage Arts.

She had also used **Sage Art – Earth: Shell** to increase her defenses to the point that the weapons did no damage to her. Having survived all of that, she happily said, “Can you show anything else you have?”

“Hmm, sure thing. I have just the right thing for you then!”

ilin wanted to see sothing even more powerful, sothing a step above what most knew.
