Miac Richardson frowned tightly, just about to go downstairs, then rembered his face was covered in powder, and angrily glared at Aria Richardson again.
"What are you two standing there for? Guests are guests, what does it look like to leave the guest downstairs while all three of us stay upstairs?"
Miac Richardson strode off to wash his face. Isla Sue pressed her lips together, comforted Aria with a few words, and then went downstairs.
Natalie Rogers was sitting in the living room, with a servant pouring tea for her. Seeing Isla Sue approaching, Natalie’s eyes flickered, and she stood up, walking over with a friendly deanor.
"Oh, mother-in-law."
Isla looked at Natalie coming towards her, puzzled, and could only cooperate by wearing a faint smile on her face, "Mrs. Knox, what is this about?"
"Why call Mrs. Knox, makes it feel distant. Alexander has already co with the betrothal gifts, so our two families will soon be in-laws. I ca today specifically to take Aria to our house for dinner, to let the kids spend more ti together and get to know each other better."
Isla looked at Natalie, thinking she must have taken the wrong dicine.
Seeing Isla not speaking, Natalie wasn’t upset and continued to smile, "You haven’t taken previous matters to heart, I hope. I misunderstood Aria before and said many unpleasant things. My mouth really deserves a beating, please don’t take it to heart."
Isla didn’t show any pleasant expression to Natalie, just smiled enough to maintain appearances.
Natalie felt extrely uncomfortable in her heart, thinking she’s lowering herself to co to their house, and it’s already bad enough that no one ca to greet her, and now they’re giving her attitude, as if their family is beneath them or sothing.
Natalie silently urged herself to endure, so she could completely sever Alexander’s relationship with Aria.
At this ti, Miac Richardson forced Aria down the stairs. Seeing Aria, Natalie put on a smile again, becoming even more enthusiastic.
"Aria."
Aria took a step back to avoid Natalie’s hand, coldly saying, "Just say what you have to say, there’s no need for unnecessary contact."
Natalie’s pupils twirled in their sockets, smiling calmly as she said, "Seems like Aria is still mad at . Aria, it was wrong of before, please don’t be upset. Auntie apologizes to you here."
Aria frowned at the seemingly amiable woman in front of her, rembering how harshly she was treated just yesterday.
And now she’s sweet-talking like this.
Whenever sothing is unusual, there’s definitely sothing fishy going on.
Aria wasn’t foolish and certainly didn’t believe she turned good overnight.
"Auntie, stop pretending. Just lay all your cards on the table."
Natalie’s face grew stiff, awkwardly glancing at Miac Richardson beside Aria, "This... Aria really has quite the temper."
Miac Richardson awkwardly chuckled, looking sideways at Aria with a stern warning expression, "How do you speak? Mrs. Knox personally ca to fetch you, stop making a scene."
Natalie continued to smile, "No worries, no worries. It’s understandable for Aria to have grievances. Aria, co back to the Knox Family with Auntie. Alexander and the old lady are waiting for you, along with your in-laws. Let’s all go together, we haven’t all sat down for a proper al yet."
Aria coldly asked, "What exactly are you trying to pull?"
Miac Richardson tugged at Aria, signaling her to shut up, and smiled at Natalie, "Alright, alright, thank you Mrs. Knox for making the trip."
"No worries at all, let’s go then."
Aria looked at Miac Richardson speechlessly, "Are you that desperate for a al?"
Miac Richardson gritted his teeth, lowering his voice, "You’re getting married soon. Isn’t it normal for both families to sit together for a al? If you keep causing trouble, don’t even think about stepping foot out of this house before the engagent banquet."
Aria gritted her teeth hard; sothing like this was indeed within Miac Richardson’s character.
Isla sighed and said to Aria, "It’s just a al, we, your parents, will accompany you. Even if she has any intentions, she wouldn’t dare act on them. Let’s go."
With one being admonished and the other coaxing, Aria was made to get in the car.
Just as the Richardson’s car departed, another black car slowly pulled up, and Wyatt Lewis got out with a sullen expression.
