Raina saw the master was sowhat surprised; this was the abbot, Master Clarion, of The Grand Temple of the Umbral Zone.

Rumors say his Buddhist Law is profound, with countless followers, and he’s very sought after.

Corvus Hades, always defiant and moody, was very courteous in front of Master Clarion: "This ti, I still have to trouble Master Clarion."

"It’s only natural, no need to be so polite." Master Clarion was benevolent and gentle.

Only then did Raina realize that Corvus had invited Master Clarion to perform a ceremony for his deceased parents, hoping for their peace.

Raina couldn’t help but also have thoughts; she wanted to obtain a hand-copied sutra from Master Clarion, to offer at her biological mother’s grave upon returning to Southgate.

Although she had never t her biological mother, and the latter’s actions were all retaliations, regardless, she still gave birth to her.

Now that she’s gone, perhaps the only thing Raina can do is to pray that in her next life she does not encounter a heartless man like Gideon North.

Raina did not speak up at the mont, instead keeping the thought in her heart, planning to find another opportunity to visit Master Clarion.

After a brief exchange with Corvus, Master Clarion was personally led by him to the ancestral hall.

Once in the ancestral hall, Master Clarion sat on the cushion placed on the ground by a young monk, closed his eyes, and began chanting.

Master Clarion indeed lived up to his high arcane skill; once he spoke, it was like hearing an ancient chi echo from centuries past.

Chanting was clearly a tedious task, yet Raina didn’t feel it; she almost didn’t notice the passage of ti, and it was already over.

"It’s over already? Did the master not cut corners?" Raina couldn’t help but mutter.

It wasn’t that she was disrespectful to the master, but she truly couldn’t believe it, feeling it was just a blink of an eye.

The young monk glared indignantly: "My master would never cut corners!"

Raina then realized she had spoken loudly and was heard by the very person; her thick-skinned nature couldn’t help but feel a bit embarrassed, she hurriedly apologized: "Young monk, sorry, I ant no offense to Master Clarion, only regretful for not hearing more of his chanting."

The young monk was still upset and snorted heavily.

"Don’t be rude."

The young monk imdiately restrained his angry expression, folded his hands in respect, and retreated.

Master Clarion stepped forward, very apologetic: "Apologies, kind patron, it was my poor teaching."

Raina quickly said: "Master Clarion, don’t bla the young monk, it was my rudeness."

Master Clarion smiled: "You are a person of great kindness, with a connection to Buddha, how could you be rude."

Upon hearing this, Corvus couldn’t contain himself, stepped forward and said: "Master, she’s still caught up in worldly ties, her six senses are impure, she’s absolutely impossible to seek shelter in Buddhism."

Master Clarion wasn’t bothered, rather he smiled and said: "Everything has its own destiny, seeking shelter is not important, what matters is having Buddha in one’s heart, Amitabha."

After speaking, Master Clarion personally invited Raina to The Grand Temple to listen to sutras, before leaving with the young monk.

Soon after the master left, Corvus exploded, raising his eyebrows, he gave Raina a side glance, sarcastically saying: "Orion Rivers, you’ve got skills, you can even win over an old monk."

Raina was speechless, sincerely saying: "Corvus, if you’re having an episode, take so dicine; always acting crazy truly makes people concerned."

Upon hearing this, Corvus imdiately beca pleased: "I knew you missed ."

Raina felt utterly speechless, wasn’t the point of her words asking him to take dicine?

Whatever.

Let him be happy.
