"Sir. I..." I wanted to set up Anya Forrest, but who knew Raymond Thorne wouldn’t give him a chance to explain before hanging up the phone.

Auntie Vaughn’s face was quite ugly, but seeing how the sir was so protective of Anya Forrest, she didn’t dare to say much more and had to leave in a huff.

Anya Forrest’s phone soon rang again. It was Raymond Thorne calling: "I got Auntie Vaughn out of the way, happy now?"

"Why would I be happy?" Anya Forrest thought this was rather idiotic, and couldn’t help but snap back: "You arranged for her to co, I’ve taken the bla, and now you just redeploy her and call it successful?"

Raymond Thorne was in a good mood: "Yes, yes, it’s all my fault. Can I apologize to you? Okay, don’t be angry anymore."

He spoke softly, as if soothing a little girl.

Anya Forrest pressed her lips together without speaking, her irritation growing more intense.

"Anya, this ti it really is my fault. I shouldn’t have promised to pick you up from the hospital, and then been delayed by sothing urgent. My greater mistake is arranging for an ignorant maid to pick you up from the hospital. So..." Raymond Thorne’s voice was as gentle as water: "Let’s get married. Once you beco the mistress of The Thorne Family, the servants naturally won’t dare be rude to you again. If there’s anyone else who doesn’t know their place, you can punish them directly."

Raymond Thorne’s voice continued: "The marriage between Shea and The Lawrence Family also needs to be settled. Then you can help arrange everything so the entire Southgate knows I, Raymond Thorne, have married the most virtuous wife in the world."

Raymond Thorne’s proposal was sothing Anya Forrest had been waiting for a long ti, she planned so much, even risking getting hurt all for the sake of becoming his wife.

At this mont, her wish was finally fulfilled, but Anya Forrest didn’t feel happy at all; instead, she found it extrely dull.

Maybe it was because the person she wanted revenge on had already left Southgate.

Anya Forrest didn’t agree, finding an excuse to brush it off.

Raymond Thorne was very confident, thinking no woman would be able to refuse the lure of becoming his wife, and thus didn’t pay attention.

After hanging up the phone, Anya Forrest sat on the bed, her eyes showing a hint of emptiness.

"Anya’s Mommy."

The three little ones pushed the door open and ca in.

"Baby, Casper, Shea, you’re here. Sit there and wait a mont, okay? Auntie will be ready soon."

"Okay, okay."

The three little ones obediently sat on the bed, their large eyes staring, all displaying expressions that were identically listless.

Anya Forrest pinched the little ones’ cheeks and ruffled their tiny heads one by one: "Why the long faces, what are you thinking about?"

"I’m thinking about my mommy." Casper said softly: "Mommy has been gone for a long ti now. I wonder if she’s encountered any danger out there by herself."

"Don’t worry, you know perfectly well what kind of person your mommy is, right? She only has the tendency to make others feel threatened. And your third uncle once called and said your mommy is currently safe, but she’s in a very special place and can’t contact us for the ti being."

"Mm." The three little ones nodded obediently.

"Anya’s Mommy." Casper tugged at Anya Forrest’s hand, raised his little face and said: "When third uncle calls again, please tell him to pass along a ssage to my mommy: I won’t sell her out for money anymore, even if I’m poor, so that I can be a filial son and have her co ho soon. We all really need our old mother."

Baby Hawthorne and Shea were both shocked, eagerly reaching out and placing their palms on Casper’s forehead: "No fever, why are you talking nonsense?"
