Claire North couldn’t help but nod repeatedly, her heart filled with imnse joy.

Elias Hawthorne actually cared about her this much.

That’s right, just like mommy said, after all, she is the biological mother of The Hawthorne Family’s little heir.

All n in the world are undependable, especially those with high positions and power. Even so, there are always so won who are different to them.

Such as, mothers, sisters, wives, and so on...

She might not be Elias Hawthorne’s wife, but she is the biological mother of his only son. The uniqueness and importance of this identity need not be stated.

More importantly, because of Baby Hawthorne’s existence, she would have an unbreakable connection with Elias Hawthorne for the rest of her life.

The more Claire North thought about it, the more her heart surged, and the smile on her face grew increasingly radiant.

The nurse couldn’t help but urge, "Miss North, can I draw your blood now?"

Claire North nodded reservedly, "Of course."

The nurse imdiately brought out a tourniquet to draw Raina North’s blood.

After drawing blood, they brought over a wheelchair to take Claire North for an examination.

After a series of examinations, two hours had already passed.

The injury on Claire North’s lower back was serious, and during the examination, it inevitably touched the injured area, making the pain increasingly sharp and distinct.

At any other ti, Claire North would have already lost her temper.

But this ti, she kept smiling because to her, this pain signified a different kind of care and affection from Elias Hawthorne.

Brenda Adler handed the freshly bought chicken soup to Claire North, watching her smiling foolishly, she couldn’t help but tease, "Look at you, so happy like this. If Elias asks you to marry him in the future, wouldn’t you be so happy you’d lose your sense of direction?"

"If Elias proposes to , forget about losing my direction, even if I lose all sense of north, south, east, and west, I would still be happy."

Brenda Adler tapped her daughter’s forehead, "Look at you, how unambitious!"

Claire North protested, "Mom, you’re wrong. Managing to bind a man like Elias Hawthorne is the greatest achievent in your daughter’s life."

"You’re right. It’s a good thing you were smart back then, or you wouldn’t be where you are today." Brenda Adler praised, "My daughter is truly clever."

Claire North’s eyebrows were full of pride, but just as she was about to speak, soone suddenly knocked on the door of the hospital room.

Soon, the door was pushed open.

Upon seeing who entered, Claire North was taken aback, "Beau? Why are you here?"

Beau Shelby, who hadn’t shown up in days, looked much thinner, with a haggard expression and tiredness evident between his eyebrows, but the smile at the corners of his lips was still as warm as ever.

She cautiously observed Beau Shelby, trying to discern from his expression whether he had overheard her previous conversation with her mom.

Claire North carefully recalled, and fortunately, she had always been cautious and hadn’t said anything crucial.

Beau Shelby, as if he sensed nothing, maintained a gentle deanor, "I saw the news about your accident, and I was worried, so I ca to see you. Now that I see you’re alright, I’m relieved."

Claire North didn’t expect Beau Shelby to say that, and she was deeply moved, "Beau, I never thought you’d still care about at this ti. I... I thought you’d never talk to again..."

As she spoke, her eyes reddened, and tears welled up and overflowed.

"Silly girl, why are you crying? When did I ever say I wouldn’t talk to you? No matter what, in my heart, you’ll always be the little girl next door who brought smiles every day. Now, stop crying."

Beau Shelby handed her a tissue, teasingly, "If you cry anymore, you’ll look dreadfully ugly."

Claire North was alard, "Really? Do I really look that ugly now?"

"No, I’m fooling you." Beau Shelby looked at her with a smile, "No matter what, Claire, you’ll always be the most beautiful in my heart."
