Raina North heard Aaron Warren’s ranting, walked over to him, and said, "Aaron, we’ve never had any past grievances, nor any recent grudges, yet things have escalated like this. Don’t you ever wonder why? Or is it that you’re born to love and are willing to be used by others?"

Aaron was taken aback. Why exactly did he dislike Raina North?

Was it because Raina was arrogant?

No.

Was it because Raina got into The Veridian Institute of dicine through connections?

Yet, Raina wasn’t the only one who got in through connections.

The Veridian Institute of dicine’s status is special, but it’s not above worldly matters.

He disliked Raina because she made Claire unhappy.

"Sister..." Claire North walked over quickly, her eyes red and brimming with tears. "It’s all my fault. If you have any complaints, direct them at . Don’t take it out on others."

Aaron looked at the goddess crying, feeling his heart ready to break.

No, he disapproved of Raina simply because he couldn’t stand her always bullying Claire North.

He struggled to stand and protected Claire behind him, saying, "Claire, don’t be afraid. I won’t let her bully you." He coldly looked at Raina, "Raina, don’t be arrogant; this institute isn’t your realm yet."

Then, he made a phone call.

After hanging up, he blocked the exit, "Raina, if you have the guts, wait here."

Wanda Woods didn’t expect things to develop like this; she hurried over, "Chief Warren, that’s enough, stop it."

"I’m not making trouble." Aaron’s attitude was particularly firm, "Director Woods, if you can’t uphold justice, you can pretend not to see."

Wanda Woods was infuriated. Was she not upholding justice?

Truly if she had upheld justice, Aaron Warren wouldn’t be standing here all fine.

Raina raised an eyebrow, "So, you’re calling in reinforcents because you can’t win? Chief Warren, are you still a grade-schooler?"

Aaron’s face twisted with anger, "Raina, no matter how eloquent you are, today won’t end well. I’ll definitely make you understand how foolish it is to be arrogant without standing."

Leila Foster frowned, wanting to say sothing but was stopped by Raina North.

Seeing Raina shake her head towards her, she could only hold back.

At this mont, a series of footsteps approached.

Aaron’s eyes lit up, and he hurried over, "Second Uncle, you finally arrived. Look at this woman who snuck in here; she’s simply too presumptuous, making chaos of The Veridian Institute of dicine!"

Raina turned to look and saw a stern-faced middle-aged man approaching. Judging by his uniform style, he must be a mid-level figure at the institute.

No wonder Aaron Warren was so arrogant.

Second Uncle Warren looked at his nephew’s swollen face, his expression slightly darkened, "Did you beat my nephew like this?"

Raina spoke casually, "If I were you, I wouldn’t even ask that question unless you think it’s particularly honorable for a grown man to be beat up by a girl like ."

Second Uncle Warren squinted at Raina, after a mont, he smirked coldly, "Indeed quick-witted. But you’re unhard, while my nephew is bruised and battered; shouldn’t you apologize?"

Raina thought for a mont and seriously replied, "I don’t think I should." She pointed to Aaron and said, "The ones causing trouble and getting physical were your nephew and his cousin. I only defended myself. Even if this matter went to the police, they’d be the ones detained. If that’s your plan, then go ahead and call the police."

Second Uncle Warren stared at Raina and suddenly laughed, "We’re all colleagues at The Veridian Institute of dicine. We can solve our conflicts privately; no need to escalate to the police—wouldn’t that harm our camaraderie? Don’t you think?"
